Freshly made food and amazing wine. Ya I was warm to us and really made us feel special. We will be back!

    Chicken salad sandwich

We had a great first experience at Yanni Bistro today! My dad got the chicken salad sandwich + fries, I got the Aztec special chicken sandwich + fries, and my mom got the falafel salad. Everything was delicious and fresh. We sat outside with my 10 month old baby and my parents' dog, and the owner even gave us some water for her. It was the perfect lunch! Can't wait to go back

    Lentil Soup

Healthy, Hearty, and Tasty! Today I ordered the lentil soup to-go at Yanni's Bistro, and I must say I was pleased! I've had lentil soup before and this didn't disappoint. It was filled veggies and lots of lentils, leaving me satiated and satisfied. I love how the flavors married together, and I was able to add my own salt to taste which was appreciated! The service is always great, and welcoming.

Everything is super fresh! Overall a great experience, the food was delicious and the owner took the time to tell us about some of the dishes and preparation behind his creations. Amazing!

Removed paper, everything fell off the soggy bread.

I chose Yanni because they advertise as a gluten free establishment and walked through a very busy parking lot to get to the door. No one else was in Yanni Bistro. Clue #1. (1) The a/c wasn't working. The help was very annoyed about that. (2) Yanni argued with me that soybean oil is not in Duke's mayonnaise. Wrong. (3) Out of many menu options (one due to having the wrong "slicer." Then mark it off the menu)? (4) Products for sale around storefront were NOT local. (5) Sandwich #1 was NOT gf. He kindly remade it...but it was literally 1/3 of the side of the regular sandwich one and cost more ($14 + $2 gf uncharge). (6) Because Yanni walked around with speaker phone on, I overheard an angry customer call whose order was wrong. He told the gal he replied to her FB post. She replied "I'm not on FB." (7) My stomach feels like I ingested gluten. With a slim list of choices, I got the chicken avocado "panini." It came out on a baguette roll. Very tough, day old, cold chicken, 4 small spring mix leaves, a couple of carrot twirls, a few red onions, and maybe 1/2 of an avocado. No salt or pepper on any tables. This was a huge disappointment from a restaurant advertising fresh, local, gluten free. Not thanks.

Don't go for coffee or macarons... they are both not good. Can't speak for food. Also took a while to order.

First impression was good. The restaurant itself looked clean and family-oriented. It had a diner-like feel. We ordered breakfast. (Breakfast is served all day.) Our server was very pleasant, attentive and friendly. I ordered one chocolate chip pancake with strawberries and whipped cream, and a turkey sausage patty. My husband had an omelet with hash browns and a biscuit. Overall, we thought everything was very good. My husband said he prefers his hash browns more browned and crunchy; and that his biscuit could have been a little better, but he was still pleased with his meal. I have no complaints about my pancake and turkey sausage. The thing I liked most about this place was that there were many choices on the menu, and the prices were reasonable. Finally, a place you can enjoy that has good food, a nice atmosphere and won't cost you an arm and a leg. This is closest to a real diner that I've eaten at in a long time. As we waited for our food to come out (which didn't take long at all), we noticed other waitstaff delivering amazing-looking food to tables. Our mouths were watering!! We will definitely be back. A very enjoyable experience.

Typically, when someone from a restaurant reaches out to me about my review, especially when they are not 5 star, I instantly become skeptical. However, this owner made me feel comfortable to share my thoughts and explain how my visit went before anything else. Over the years, I have received tons of owners offering me a free meal in exchange for my integrity but I could tell this owner was extremely genuine and wanted to make sure my voice was heard. The initial post will remain the same but I wanted to amend some of the initial remarks including the service. The first time I tried this place, I received service that was not in alignment to the core values and standards this restaurant upholds, which, I am human and I have worked in food service for years so trust me, I get it. Since being back twice since my initial visit, I have been treated like family. The service has been up to par and the staff has been incredibly friendly. As far as the ambiance, it gives the feel of an old diner which makes it charming and lovable. Perhaps, some restorations and furnishings can be done nothing that isn't manageable. Lastly, I wanted to make sure to do a thorough review of the menu so when I went back twice after my initial review, I tried a menu item for each the breakfast menu and the dinner menu. The food was great! It was favorable, warm and packed with fresh ingredients. I tried the ribs and Mac and cheese as well as a breakfast plate on two separate occasions without letting the restaurant know I was coming back for a remake. The only thing I wasn't super thrilled about was the Mac and Cheese, other than that it was good. It goes to saying that their standards are commendable as they do care about their service, food and experience of the customers.

Biscuits and gravy are a southern staple and rarely have I had any that were really good, except here at Vicious Biscuit. Biscuits are their business. The most important elements are the biscuits and the gravy. Additions are many and varied, but if the basic two items are not both excellent, you will have a disappointing experience. The Vicious biscuit is the size of a hamburger bun. It is soft and there are bits of spice in the dough. These biscuits do not fall apart, but stay together and serve to soak up the wonderful sausage gravy that is poured on top of it. You can order just a biscuit with gravy for $8. And if you are timid, start here. Otherwise, there are add-ons like very good fried chicken, shrimp and grits, ham, pulled smoked pork, crab, bacon, fried shrimp. fried eggs and other combos. Super choices, so take time to study the menu which is extensive. Portions are great, very generous. I had their Vicious ($12). It was their Cheddar jalapeño biscuit, crispy fried chicken, maple sausage gravy, cowboy candy, with maple syrup drizzle. I was hesitant as to the maple syrup, but it is just enough to give accent to the gravy, but not super sweet. Wife had Fried Green 'Maters ($9.50) which were four fried green tomatoes, their signature pimento cheese with a pickled okra garnish. She could not eat it all, so I helped finish off the lone tomato and a bit of the cheese. Very good. Vicious Biscuit is more that a meal, it is an experience, even a journey, through this traditional southern staple, biscuits and gravy. Enjoy the trip. We might see you there.
