I grew up in Europe and I am very picky about Greek. This is by far my favorite Greek in Ohio. Great staff too.

Stopped in to Yappy Greek for lunch. I enjoyed my meal (Chicken Gyro Platter) and thought the service was friendly and quick! Come early if you can, seemed to get busier around 12pm. I loved the spicy feta cheese and the flavor on the chicken and rice. The pita was warm, and I ordered side (half portion) of hummus and it was tasty. In addition to Greek specialties they also have a deli where they make sandwiches and subs to order. I saw alot of takeout traffic come through as well. I would definitely come back! Losing one star because I stopped in to the bathroom and it just seemed generally dirty to me - which always grosses me out in a restaurant, especially when it's the only bathroom. Also, when I asked for hot sauce, I got something like Frank's hot sauce, which is normally great, but a tad disappointing as all the other Greek/Gyro restaurants I visit usually have some version of a house hot sauce that usually goes better with Greek food. read more

I'm a big fan of Greek food and can't believe how many times I've driven past this restaurant without giving it a try. My wife and I were in the neighborhood around lunch time and decided to give it a try. I can't actually say I was pleasantly surprised because all the reviews on YELP were good -- but I was very pleased with my decision to stop here for lunch. They offer a number of lunch specials were you get a healthy portion of food for a pretty reasonable price. The first time I visit any Greek restaurant -- I always order a GYRO and fires -- that's sort of my benchmark for ranking one Greek restaurant against another one. The gyro and fries were excellent. The was a little slow and spotty but overall -- was OK. The place is NOT fancy but is your basic family type Greek restaurant. For being a little strip mall restaurant, Yappy Greek has excellent, good quality food. Their le til and chicken soups are amazing. Shawarma is very good as well. All of their I ingredients are fresh and I've never walked away hungry. If you're anywhere in the area, Yappy Greek is definitely worth a stop. read more

Always great tasting food. Whether I get Carryout or Delivery the food is always fresh. The owner is very friendly. I like taking advantage of the 5 Gyros for $20 deal on the website. I enjoyed the Gyro bowl which had lots of rice and fresh grilled Veggies. The hummus was really tasty as well. Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service! My bestie and I stopped in here for a quick lunch and we received the warmest welcome from the gentleman who appears to be the owner. He not only waited on us, but cooked our food as well, and let me tell you it was amazing! I ordered the Greek Fish which came with fries, pita, and 2 dips. The fish was all white, flakey, fall apart in your mouth delicious and it wasn't covered in excessive batter. It was perfect! The dips were out of this world; I dipped my fries and fish in it. My friend ordered the lunch special which came with an eggplant appetizer, a huge gyro, and seasoned sweet potato wedges. The portion sizes were beyond generous and because the quality of the food was so high, it felt like a dream to have plenty to eat. Also, before I forget, they use all organic ingredients! Was back in my old neighborhood this day and got the yen for Gyro. This sits on the very busy corner of Wilson Bridge and Worthington-Galena Roads and can kind of be a bear to get in and out of but that aside I found my way through the open doors of this restaurant. The last incarnation in this spot it was the R&P Deli and they still carry some of the delicious sammiches from this time and use that website for this new endeavor. Even though I knew what I wanted I took a little time to look over the menu and some of the chalkboard specials offered before placing my order. Didn't have to wait very long for a beautifully foil wrapped Gyro to hit my table and beside that a order of the House Greek Fries. The Large Gyro, a fluffy warm pita filled with plenty of meat from the vertical rotisserie, a nice mix of fresh veggies and rich, creamy garlic sauce. The Greek Fries were freshly cooked and topped with a generous serving of feta and that lovely garlicky sauce. Service was spot on from the friendly folks working there and my drink never went dry. I would only say my only complaints about this visit was two subjective things, very loud Laouto music being played in the background and the lack of air conditioning on a fairly warm afternoon. Otherwise this place is a great neighborhood place to get your Greek on. While I'm Crazzy for another shop in this area, this will be high on my list of choices when I'm in this part of town and the Call of Greece comes upon me... read more

Pretty good Greek restaurant in the upper Columbus area! They have a pretty extensive menu and everything is quite affordable. I went for the classic gyro platter, which comes with a gyro wrap, salad, and fries. The gyro meat was some of the better I've had - very flavorful and tender. The fries were also well-seasoned. The salad was really good with the vinaigrette they have behind the counter (the garlic dressing they give you is kind of heavy). Service was really slow but there was a bit of an incident going on when we were there - I imagine their service is usually better. I ordered the Gyro Platter and Spicy Feta appetizer. Both were delicious. I want to learn how to make the Spicy Feta at home. I bet it would be delicious on French Fries or pizza. The side salad had red onions, olives, banana peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and feta cheese. The gyro was equally delicious. It was just a tad bit too salty for me but overall superb. I picked my order up and drove back to my hotel, about 1.5 miles away. All of my food was still perfectly warm and my fries were still crunchy. My ţrip to this restaurant has even made me feel better about the hotel I'm staying in that asked for my credit card for "incidentals". I asked what kind of incidentals? There's no room service or many bar.....she said in case of damages or we have to evict you. Cue the wide eye emoji! That's another story. read more

I wanted to give this place a 4.5 but I rounded up to 5 because the food was so good. We came here off yelp reviews and walked right in to the line ordering food. We had time to spare so we sat down after ordering. The decor leaves a lot to be desired but they gave us a free hummus appetizer while we were waiting on the food. The gyro platter with salad and rice was delicious. The mixed grill platter took a while and didn't come out with my food. He also thought it cost 12.99 but then when we looked at the menu again and realized it cost 17.99 we were a little shocked to be spending this much on lunch. Overall a great lunch. I was staying nearby while in town for 50th college reunion/homecoming (OSU beat Rutgers 58-0) and saw the place on Yelp. I had already eaten when I stopped in, wasn't hungry, but had to try the Greek fries. Good strong cheese sauce covered the high quality French fries. For my 100th reunion, I hope they are still in business! I will stop back. The other dishes I saw being served to other customers, who seemed authentically Greek themselves, looked well prepared and seemed to be heartily enjoyed. I wish I had not already eaten. Would try the gyro plate. The outside is deceptively dumpy, the interior neatly blue painted with a mural of a Greek port on one wall and Greek columns on another. Can I give this 6 or 7 stars? We go to an event in a nearby hotel every year, and we intend to go back to this place every year. The Dolmades were superb. The gyros was as well. We got the greek fries, which are a delightful combination of french fries, feta, tzatsiki and spices. The feta is very smooth and the spices give it a nice bit of heat. Placed an order using Grubhub. Got the Greek salad and some grape leaves. Salad was okay. It seem to have a lot of leftover salad pieces in it big chunks of lettuce and carrot. Sauce was good and the meat was good but just disappointed that they had to include what seemed like throwaway pieces of lettuce and carrot. This place is great! I ordered the dinner special, thinking I was really hungry. HA! It comes with appetizer (which I wrongly assumed would be a smaller portion & not a full app), entrée & dessert. The entrée was a full gyro platter (lots of other choices) & baklava. I ended up taking enough home for at least two more meals. So, portions are massive. Taste was very good.
