Yard House is an establishment that thrives on their beer selections. Where else can you get an option of 100+ beers on tap? Not to mention, you can get your beer served in half a yard glass...SOLD. I came on a busy Friday night, and this place was PACKED. When we went to the hostess stand, we were told that the wait would be 45 minutes to and hour, so we went to the bar for some beer in the meantime. Yard House does a fantastic job of presenting their beer options in an organized way. Feeling something hoppy? Feeling something fruity? Fancy a sour? All options are placed in a certain category so that it makes it easy to maneuver the variety of options. All the beers are from around the country, so it's a great place to try out beers you may have never tried before. I ended up trying a couple of IPAs, and the bartender and waitresses are very knowledgable about which beers are popular and which beers might fit your palate. We were surprisingly sat down at a table after about 35 minutes, which always makes for a better experience. My table ended up starting out with the chicken nachos and the truffle fries. The truffle fries were definitely the highlight, as they were perfectly cooked, nicely coated in truffle oil, and sprinkled with parsley. I could literally bathe in truffle oil, so these fries were definitely BOMB. The nachos were...okay. Our waitress came and set down the nachos in front of us stating that the plate was very hot, but when we started to dig in, the nachos were luke warm at best, nor was the plate hot at all. For my entree I got the cobb salad, which was filled with edamame, corn, tomatoes, avocados, kale, and topped with blackened chicken. I really enjoyed this meal and would highly recommend it, as the portion was also large. However, the couple of friends that I went with were slightly disappointed with their meals, as their meals also came out luke warm. All in all, I guess just be weary about what you order, especially on a busy night. I was happy with my meal, but it also didn't have to be cooked or heated. If they can work out the heating kinks, this place could really thrive and continue to expand their brand. Until then, it's always a nice spot to stop at for a nice beer. read more

The appetizers are discounted during happy hour, and in my opinion that's the only time that it's reasonable to go to yard house - it can otherwise be overpriced. The nachos are a particularly good deal and they are massive. The food is pretty consistent and tasty, and there are SO many menu items. The beer is overpriced. The restaurant is pretty big, so it's good for large groups especially before Red Sox games. We've had a couple issues with slow service, but for the most part food / drinks come out relatively quickly. Vegan friendly!!! I used to only get vegan burger (WHICH IS SO GOOD) because I thought gardien wings were vegetarian... but you just need to sub out the dipping sauces! Personally the ancho Bbq is my favorite sauce for this because I can't do too much spice. (Tahini/buffalo dipping sauce is in the picture). The menu is huge! This review will be focusing on the food than the drinks, but there is indeed a wide array of drinks to select. I came in on a Wednesday night around 8 with a party of 8. Yard House does not take reservations so we waited approximately 20-30 minutes to be seated. Our waiters were very kind and conversational despite how busy they were. For appetizers, we ordered calamari, poke nachos, and wings (korean and black pepper flavors). Everything tasted great, but the poke nachos were AMAZING. I plan to order it just for myself the next time I come here. For my meal, I ordered the Korean BBQ Cheesesteak. This was the most disappointing part of my dinner. The meat was lacking in flavor and juice and there wasn't enough cheese to compensate for that lack in flavor. I think it's my fault for ordering a "Korean" style food in an American chain, but this doesn't deserve to be on the menu. For dessert, I got the bread pudding. Nick one of the servers sexually assaulted my friend and we reported it to the manager. The manager essentially told us "we hire through a third party." I responded saying "so you're not going to do anything!?" And he said " oh, I mean it's really busy. I guess I could talk to him after his shift?" Happy. Hour. Seriously one of the best deals for Happy Hour I've ever had and I probably go here at least once a month with friends to catch up over half-yards and half-priced appetizers. The onion ring tower is always on our table - super crispy and light and the onion is cooked through just enough that it's not completely raw. The fried mac and cheese comes to you plated like the most delicious and beautiful stack of jenga blocks. Don't really care much for the accompanying sauces since it's already sooo sinfully good on its own. The nachos are huge (mind the plate, it's hot) but can be a bit on the saltier side. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing when you have a half-yard of your favorite alcoholic beverage in your other hand (probably resting on your knee or something). Only average bit of our order would probably have to be the fried calamari. It's pretty pedestrian and we all know that no appetizer menu is complete without it, but half the time I get it it arrives to the table with the breading falling off or just greasy. It's a massive space and a fun place to be with ample spots along the bar. Whenever old college friends come back into town, this place will always be near the top of the list. Whoo-hoo! I first became a fan of Yard House after dining at their Lynnfield location and my experience here was pretty much the same- pleasant and enjoyable! I came here with my friend on a Tuesday and it was quite loud and busy. We were seated pretty quickly though- Yard House is super spacious. My friend and I had their truffle fries and [Mac and Cheese]^2 to share. The truffle fries appetizer was the best part of the whole meal. It was doused with a medley of herbs and shredded parmesan cheese. So, so flavorful for something so modest in size! The [Mac and Cheese]^2 dish was pretty good. It consisted of chicken, bacon pieces and mushrooms. As the final touch, it was topped with cheddar, parmesan and some type of breadcrumb(?), which added a good crunch and texture. The sauce they used was light and a bit faint in taste, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. They were super generous with their chicken pieces and mushrooms, too, which was a definite plus. Don't let the size of the dish deceive you- it may look pretty small but it was so filling, even for two people!! The service was great for a place so bustling. Okay, so I've heard of this place about a million times but never had one local to visit until a recent trip into Boston, we happened to pop into here (mainly since we had a gift card) and we were glad we stopped! At first when you enter, you can tel straight off the bat, (no puns intended) seeing that it's literally down the block from infamous Fenway and the "green monstah'" Wait staff was friendly and efficient, we were seated in a booth across from the bar, in which they have almost every imaginable beer on tap. Which if your looking to try either your normal favorites or something off the cuff unusual, good chance they have it. Typically we don't get an appetizer to start with but we figured; why not! As I mentioned before we had a GC so...it was game on. We chose the nacho plate to try because, ya know...sports bar and nachos just kind of go hand in hand. Let me tell you; these bad boys were delicious! Everything was incredibly fresh, and delicious! I do believe that the nachos were house made along with the fabulous house brined jalapeños that were topped with fresh chunks of chicken and diced tomatoes. Worth trying for sure! Moving into the entree - I figured that I had to try the Nashville hot chicken. Now everyone does this differently; it's on my bucket list to try some down in the namesake region of Tennessee and see how it compares. But that's for another day. This whoever was fabulous! Fresh whole breast of chicken prefects coated and seasoned with just the right amount of crunch and spice to it! Accompanied by three sweet potato pancakes and a side of hot honey, and a nice dollop of butter to accompany that soft fluffy goodness. Put together it was a perfect harmony of flavors melding together. Might I also recommend pairing with if they have it available the Mango Kölsch "clown shoes"; forgive me that I can't remember the brewer who made it, but the flavor pairing worked wonderfully together! My wife had the pork burger which she said was a delicious blending of spices and seasonings to make a juicy and very flavorful burger combination! What is nice is too is they allow for substitutions of a house salad as opposed to the classic French fries (can't remember off hand if they had an up charge attached, but I don't believe that it does). Either way the whole thing was a great experience! Seriously looking forward to spring in the great city of Boston and either venturing around the region or even potentially getting my wife to finally attend a game an Fenway (no matter how much she may disagree). Sat on the patio - perfect for a hot summer night while the sun is going down. Loved the beer flights and huge amount of options to choose from (also at a great price). For food we went with share plates - my girlfriend and I loved everything we got and were impressed by the vast selection and quantity of dishes. Usually getting a table on gameday is tricky, but Yard House has so many tables it's not an issue here. Our group was unfortunately not allowed to get a table till more party members showed up. I get the rationale behind the policy, but it felt silly with a restaurant that was nearly empty. Not a fan. Offer us a spot at the bar or a smaller table first or something. At some point during the game we asked if we could Move to a better table so that everyone had a good view of a TV playing the game. There were plenty of tables open so we thought it wouldn't be a problem. The wait staff hesitated stating that certain sections were not open because the assigned wait staff was absent. I thought it was a strange reason. Eventually someone who seemed like the manager came to the table and told us we could move, so props for coming through in the end. We tried a lot of food and honestly all of it was pretty good. I enjoyed the pizza, guacamole, wings, onion ring tower, and the ridiculously large nachos. They have an extensive beer selection and I tried some of their home brews. They were just Ok, but I'm not a picky beer drinker so it was fine. We ordered a soft pretzel as an appetizer and it was burnt and cold. My mother ordered a drink and never received it. We had to ask multiple times for plates for appetizers. I've been craving Yard House's truffle mac and cheese and their onion rings, so I decided to grab some friends and come here on Saturday night. They don't hold reservations for a party under 7 people, however the wait around 8:45pm/9pm wasn't horrible. I waited around 20 minutes to be seated and luckily, we got seated even though our whole party wasn't here yet. Our server, Melissa was the sweetest gal! She was very attentive the whole night and started us with some waters. She was happy to give us some tasters to the ciders that my boyfriend and I wanted to try. She was also very kind to change the TV channel for my boyfriend since he wanted to watch the Celtics vs Lakers game. Once our friends arrived, we all ordered our drinks and foods. I ordered a half yard of the Ace Pineapple cider, truffle mac and cheese, and the onion ring tower to share with my boyfriend. Our waiter was nice enough to have the mac and cheese split onto two plates, which came out portioned evenly so we didn't have to ask for an extra plate. The truffle mac and cheese was delicious, al dente pasta coated with the truffle sauce all over. The chicken wasn't dry at all and was cut up into bite size pieces. It also had mushrooms and bacon which just complimented the overall plate. The onion ring tower is to die for! I honestly think this is a good amount to share with a group of people, but you can also share with one other person. The onion rings were battered perfectly, not soggy or over fried. The two sauces went well with the onion rings; ranch and thousand island. There's a nice crunch to the onion rings and a slight taste of parmesan. Our friends also ordered half yards for their beers, Ithaca Flower Power IPA and something Moon (I can't remember). They also ordered the BBQ bacon burger and the truffle burger, which both really liked. The burgers came with a side of fries which looked amazing. My other friend ordered the vodka pasta with shrimp and she said she really enjoyed it. Overall, the vibe here at Yard House is great for a casual night out with friends. They have a wide variety of beers and cocktails to choose from and their food is reasonably priced for the amount that you get. They have happy hours Sun-Thurs, for half priced selected appetizers. My wife and I ended up here on the a hunt for an early dinner. We have both been here before so knew we'd have access to a great drink selection and good food. The only true downside to this visit was the wait for things. It took about 25ish minutes for someone to come over to us, and the wait between visits to the table were long & far-between. Our server was great though. She shared there was a section mishap at the start and when she was taking a quick break later in the night. I don't think any of the wait was her fault- merely the product of some mix ups and a crowded night. Overall, the experience was good. Food was good and super hot. We started with the chips and guac which proved a light and yummy starter. My wife had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. She shared the grilled cheese was overly cheesy. I had the pineapple Maui chicken and it was great. The portion was huge and was a simple, but perfectly put together meal. The side of brocolini was ice cold but I didn't know if that was on purpose or not. Overall, I think yard house is still a great option and I'm sure we will be ack. read more

Yardhouse is a fun place - fun atmosphere and your normal sports bar. Really easy to find space at the bar, the bartenders are really nice, and you can get so many different kinds of beers - really any kind you want. Ordering food at the bar is quick and easy. Otherwise you can also be seated for normal service. The food is good and yummy - normal american style food. Though my one complaint is at the tables it is a bit dark as in the lighting is really low, versus a lot brighter at the bar. Good place to catch a bite, and lots of TVs to watch any sports games currently going on. read more

Great brewery with an awesome selection of beer. You can even get a 1/2 yard - so cool! If you need help picking beer you can ask a waiter as they're super helpful. The food is pretty good and has large portions. The nachos were really great and perfect for sharing. We only ended up waiting 20, which was nice. The place was super crowded with other game go-ers. If you're not going before a Red Sox game, I'd suggest avoiding the area until After the game has started, until they are on the road, or in the off-season as it can be very packed. They had specials for the weekdays which were actually really good deals. We shared the onion ring tower, which was $5 (and literally so many rings). I got a margherita pizza (which I believe was $7) and my fiancé got the chicken nachos (I also think they were $7). Our total bill was $22 and we couldn't even finish everything. Given it was really crowded before a Sox game, our waitress was totally calm. Someone in management also stopped by to check in on us. Definitely try Yard House. I usually like this place but I'm appalled by the customer service tonight. I ordered a Oktoberfest beer and received something that looked and tasted like a pilsner. I drink this specific brand and style all the time and knew it was wrong as soon as I saw it. A different bartender checked the tap lines and confirmed the lines were correct, and my original bartender basically said "well the keg says Oktoberfest and I'm 'pretty sure' I poured from the correct tap." He made no effort to get me something else or to re-pour from the tap to prove he didn't just pour from the wrong tap. My husband ended up drinking the pilsner-like beer and I ordered another, different Oktoberfest. You can clearly see a color difference between two "similar" beers.
