Went to yard house since it's in walking distance from where I live and I was pretty satisfied! In my opinion the best food/drinks for a sports style bar! We tried the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer & it was delicious! The crispy rice really made it a 10/10. We also tried the chicken tenders and sweet potato pancakes. The Mediterranean salmon needs a sauce but is cooked well with a hearty portion of kale/quinoa. The whiskey maple salmon is sweet with the whiskey aftertaste which works for me but way a bit strong for some. The Brussels are crisp and tasty, just a touch of spice. The sliders get the job done but the upgrade to sweet potato fries wasn't a good move. The sweet potato fries were soggy. When we walked in immediately I saw several people wearing MLB sports teams, with hats and both teams represented. The bar was full the restaurant was buzzing and anytime a play happened you could hear the restaurant cheering or booing but the only thing not happening was the sound of the game, instead in the background was random music. So I asked if they could put the sound on and the manager said earlier in the day a manager who was no longer there had made the decision that the sound would not be played. So I asked why and if they could reconsider, that manager left for 5-10 minutes and said he discussed it with 3 other managers and they all agreed the sound did not need to be played because the majority of the restaurant was not watching the game but that in fact was not the case. Now I have been to lots of Yard Houses and never for a superbowl or game in the finals has this been the case so I was confused and asked someone else walking by and he was so rude. This apparently is not a sports bar, it's just a restaurant with a lot of TV's and luckily there is Buffalo Wild Wings that plays the sound and is a certified sports bar close by. read more

The bartender who was a black guy passed in front of me at least 15 times and did not serve me. I have been at that location at least a 100 times. This was an awful experience. I left and let the front desk know. I have spent a lot of money at that location. I will never eat at Yard House again. They do not deserve my business. I go to World of Beer and they always have a great service and the food is even better. World of Beer has a reward program too saving you money. Yard House is a bad choice. We ordered the spicy jambalaya, chicken wings, truffle burger, sliders, fried calamari, seared ahi tuna, vampire taco, and the korean beef taco. The best items were the spicy jambalaya and the chicken wings, and my least favorite items were the tacos. Both the tacos were drenched in so much sauce and the vampire taco was really salty. I ate 1/4 of the truffle burger and felt like that portion was enough - it was good, but probably the greasiest and heaviest burger I've ever eaten. Service was polite, they actually called me twice to let us know our order was ready and to make sure we came to pick it up. I recently ordered food to-go via curbside from the Gaithersburg location and there were a number of things that went HORRIBLY wrong, but I was very pleased with how management handled the situation. I ordered the the taco combo and chose the vampire taco, Baja fish taco and Korean beef taco. I was excited to try all three but especially the vampire taco because it comes with a cheese-crusted tortilla, carnitas, bacon, garlic, crushed avocado, salsa roja, sour cream and cilantro. I didn't go far after receiving my order and chose to dine while charging my vehicle at the nearby EV supercharger. As soon as I opened the container, I noticed all three tacos had plain flour tortillas and no cheese-crusted tortilla was in sight. I immediately called the restaurant back and spoke to the manager on duty that offered to give me a partial refund that I appreciated and accepted...not that big of a deal. Next, I decided that I would try my Baja fish taco first and took a big bite only to see that my fish taco was actually a SHRIMP taco...and I have a SEVERE allergy to shrimp. (As seen in the first pic I posted, the shrimp was covered by all the toppings so it wasn't obvious...I know what you're thinking!) I called right back and spoke to the same manager I spoke to before to inform her that I was served a shrimp taco by mistake and of my allergy. She was apologetic and offered to remake the order and have someone walk it over to the EV charger. I declined, and received a digital gift card for a future purchase instead. She even offered to give me a call back later to make sure I was ok. She definitely was nice about the whole thing and I really appreciated it. I can't attest to the taste/quality of my food because I didn't eat it and had to throw it all away but the customer service was great. He was great on the suggestions for appetizers and dinner and even remembered to suggest a big rock with my Bourbon. The place is super crowded on Fridays, but if you use the web and get in line, it works great. It told us 45 to 55 minutes and it was spot on. Husband didn't love his, no problem, but she never came back during meal for him to order another drink. In hindsight, I think you can order drinks through table side tablet. For food, I ordered carne asada tacos, which were really good. My friends enjoyed their food too. I think I would have enjoyed this more when it's less crowded or a nice day. Also, get $2 off draft beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails, $3 off 9 oz wine, and $4 off half yards. A perk of dining here is that their happy hour menu applies to seating anywhere within the restaurant. This makes Yard House much more appealing and preferable for happy hour over other restaurants that require you to be at the bar. My friends and I ordered drinks and apps. I normally don't drink, but decided to be adventurous and ordered a pina colada. It's not on the menu, but they made it for me. Lesson learned that it never hurts to ask! I also ordered the Lemon Pepper Boneless Wings and a side of Sweet Potato Fries. The pina colada was delicious - sweet, flavorful, and refreshing. The fries came with a ramekin of maple syrup. I've never had it with syrup before and it paired well the fries. The wings were great too. My friend ordered it as well and said it was the best lemon pepper wings she's ever had. Our server was great, but it was convenient to have a tablet at the table to place orders or pay the tab. Parking is limited. My friends found a space, but I had to park in the garage. They said that there is a two-hour limit in the lot, however, I am doubtful anyone is patrolling or enforcing it. My go to are the fried calamari and the poke nachos. It always taste fresh and I like the two as I feel like these two options are not seen on other restaurant happy hours as much. My friend got the jumbo Bavarian pretzel (not on the happy hour menu) and she loved it! It's definitely a big enough pretzel to share with other people! Service was great despite it being so busy! The poke nachos tasted great and was definitely a crowd pleaser. Our party god the turkey club, which was good but had a lot of bread in it which fills you up fast. The pineapple chicken portion was big and it is my friend's favorite dish at Yard House. I got the grilled chicken which had Swiss and avocado on it, it definitely hit the spot.
