Service requests, ordering and payment can be done at the iPads on each table. We went on a Sunday 5:30pm. Though the place was filling up we still got seating right away and had prompt cordial service. We shared the shiitake noodle appetizer. The dish had good garlic flavor and generous amounts of fresh sliced shiitake mushrooms. The noodles were springy. I had the poke salad. It was fresh and the raw tuna cubes were in a tangy sesame oil-based marinade. It came with fried wonton skins, tomato's, arugula, seaweed, fresh avocado, cucumbers, roe, and a edamame (minus Siracha aioli). My girlfriend and I decided to meet her friend for dinner here and we were not disappointed. We added our name to the wait list online while still home, which is such a convenient feature we wish more places offered. When we arrived the place was busy but we had a reasonable wait time of about 20 minutes or so, but definitely do the wait list thing if you remember. Once we were seated, our server Katie was very helpful answering questions and offering per personal recommendations at my request. We ordered drinks as we waited for her friend to arrive. I got a Malibu peach martini which was excellent! It had the right amount of peach flavor with just enough alcohol flavor so it didn't feel like I was just having juice. My girlfriend got the salted watermelon margarita which was also pretty good. We ordered a second round of drinks coco passion for me and passionfruit spritz for my girlfriend and we both enjoyed these as well. Mine were both on the sweeter side which Katie warned me about before hand and I appreciated that. Hers was also good but tasted more on the juice side of things however still enjoyable. We then moved onto our main course and decided to skip appetizers. She got the classic sliders with fries which was flavorful and not over done. I got the Maui pineapple chicken which has large chunks of pineapple and this delicious soy Ginger sauce that really elevated the dish with the jasmine rice and broccoli. It was a generous portion that was very filling and my girlfriend and I both agreed it was delicious. Her friend ended up getting a vegan burger and she said it was decent but not her favorite. We then ended the night with dessert which I really enjoyed! I got the bread pudding which arrived warm, that was in a lovely sauce topped with ice cream. My girlfriend got the Oreo Brookie which was also warm and came with ice cream. We sampled each other's dishes and really enjoyed our experience here. I ended up also getting a corn tortilla soup to go and I tasted it when I got. It was actually very good and very cheesy from what I could taste. The other thing that I really like about the experience is the convenience of being able to order your appetizers as well as your desserts from the tablet on the table. Allowing you to eat at your own pace and order your dessert when you're ready. Plus you get to pay and leave not having to wait around for a check you can also tip directly from the tablet. This is a big time saver as you don't have to wait when it's busy for pens or to have them bring your card back. All in all 8 out of 10 for me full experience wise tonight. Katie was also very nice and helpful so that added to the experience. Thank you Katie! The atmosphere here is very lively and it was also Saint Patrick's Day night, so it was decently busy but not as busy as I expected. The jambalaya had shrimp, chicken sausage and I think bits of lobster in it as well. Very flavorful and slightly spicy, perfectly balanced! I called two days in advance to see if the BHA/Liverpool FA Cup match would be available for viewing (Saturday afternoon our time). I was assured that it would be. We've been to Yard House on numerous occasions within the last few years. It's located in the Rio, easily accessible (& within view of) from the roundabout. We opted for no tomato or jalapeños on account of allergies and kid spiciness tolerance. Entrees: 1. Korean BBQ Cheesesteak - Husband ordered the cheesesteak, which comes with fries. Reminiscent of a standard cheesesteak, it's got chopped ribeye, white cheddar, and caramelized onions inside of a hoagie roll. But then they add kimchi, gochujang, lots of green onions, and a roasted garlic aïoli. I didn't really notice the kimchi, but the flavors are well balanced. Husband enjoyed it! 2. Whiskey Glazed Salmon - The salmon was seasoned well and sufficiently glazed (not drowning). There's a side cup of glaze should you want more. The grilled broccolini is simply prepared, yet flavorful. Typically, this comes with grilled broccolini and mashed potatoes. I substituted the potatoes with a side of kale and romaine Caesar salad. It was OK for the 5 y/o. Proportionally, it was an enormous plate, with more than enough leftovers. Her side fruit featured strawberries and pineapples. 4. What I love about Yard House, and many other restaurants located at Rio, is the seating and seating is appropriate for single diners, small groups, and larger groups including families. I've visited multiple times on busy days and my family of six has always been seated comfortably at a booth with little to no wait time. The staff here are friendly, professional, and responsible. The food here is delicious and the typical quality of classic American restaurant chains. The food options are diverse ranging from surf and turf, Southern American, pasta, comfort food, Mexican-inspired, and traditional American food such as burgers, chicken, pizza, and classic American desserts. Seating is ample and although the parking lot adjacent to the restaurant is huge, on weekends parking in the lot can be limited considering the foot traffic from the surrounding restaurants and businesses. However, on the grounds of The Rio there are multiple garages to park within a short walking distance of Yard House. Overall a good experience and I will continue to visit.
