Been to other locations of Yard House but finally had a chance to check out IND location and the diverse number of menu items make it a great place for lunch/dinner. Especially amazed at the number of vegetarian items included on the menu! Not a beer drinker but when sitting at the bar there are tons of visible taps. Tried to the veggie chicken strips (I know that sounds strange but they are in fact vegetarian chicken strips) and were pretty good although the temperature wasn't the best (a bit cool) but the sweet potato fries were good (although a fairly small portion). Tried the Jam Jar sweet shiraz: Good but very sweet as the description states. The restaurant faces Maryland Street but is actually physically located inside Circle Center Mall (use garage beneath the south side of the mall or over Steak and Shake. If you are looking for a great place for date night and high-quality food, then this is the place I recommend. This place will NOT let you down. My dear friend and I had above and beyond our expectations of customer service from the minute we walked in the door. We were greeted at the door with a warm "hello" and friendly smiles from all front of house staff. As the hostess was seating us, she asked how we were doing and how our day had been. Our waitress (Brooklyn), did a fantastic job. She greeted us with a genuine smile and attitude that made us feel welcomed and not a burden to be serving us. This was our first time dining here, so she helped guide us through the menu and made suggestions of her favorite dishes. Our drinks were always full, and food came out in a quick timely manner. Brooklyn also made sure that our food came out correctly and came back frequently to make sure our needs were still being met. The atmosphere was dim lighting making it more of a romantic feel, but also a fun place to meet up with friends for a cocktail after a long day. It's also large enough space to have group parties or social gatherings as well. We also loved the large variety of tv's throughout the dining room with a different sports channel on each tv giving it a more sports bar environment feel. We also enjoyed seeing the brewing kegs as we walked in the entryway. The table decor was simple but just enough for a casual dining place and to set the mood. Our food was EXCELLENT!! I had the grilled chicken avocado sandwich with truffle fries. If you try anything, the truffle fries are a must (garlic parmesan fries). The presentation of the food was professional and they even cut my sandwich in half. The food was a 10/10 and the service was even better. While visiting from out of town to see a NKOTB show, (don't judge, my love for the O.G of boy bands has no reflection on my love of food ) we needed a place to grab dinner for 2 very picky girls. The Yard House was perfect. It has a Huge menu, something for EVERYONE! We had to get the half of yard drinks. They are a little pricey for beer, but a fun way to start the party. I ordered Mixed Green Salad and Korean BBQ Beef from the appetizer menu. The salad was a salad but the beef, oh the beef was great. Hidden under the pile of meat was spicy rice. As,for,the other 2 dinners. One gf ordered the turkey club. She said it was good. But really it was a turkey club. She isn't adventurous. The last order was Penne with chicken. Once her plate/bowl came she didn't talk much so I'm assuming it was delicious. I plan to be in Indy this weekend and look forward to trying other items that caught my eye. The first time I tried to eat here they had a ventilation issue and could only serve cold food. We went back and had dinner and it was delicious. I had the adult mac and cheese and it was very good. Nice big place, great atmosphere. Casual, everyone was wearing jeans. Seems like a nice place to grab dinner or a drink after work. The hardest part was picking something off the menu! With 130 beers on tap, an extensive and varied menu and screens galore, you cannot go wrong with adding Yard House to your list of regular drinking haunts. I have been here on several occasions for both food and just drinks. I'm happy to have introduced my colleagues to the awesomeness that is the 'kung pao calamari', and the tacos rank up there with Indy's best. The food here definitely beat my expectations and is better than regular bar fare (ie. junk). The first thing that can be said about the beer is that there are A LOT of them and the menu is helpfully grouped according to type. There are plenty of American/Midwest craft brews as well as some European imports. They also have one of the better selections of ciders i've seen locally. I'm yet to go for the half yard as i'm still working my way through the menu with the smaller pints My only reservation with this place is that the service can sometimes be a little slow. I have been on a week night when there were not that many customers and had to wait 10 minutes to order a drink. On the other hand, I visited during the final four weekend when the place was packed to the rafters and the service was actually pretty good. I think it's probably just teething issues as its still early days and they do always have a lot of staff on duty. That aside I'm now a loyal and regular customer. Go Yard House! read more

Not sure if they were having a bad night or not but on this particular night all of our food was just awful. We for the spinach cheese dip to start and the spinach wasn't even cut up, it was kept whole which you can imagine was hard to scoop up with a chip, and the cheese was a watery mess. We had to send it back. Our entrees came and I got the shrimp linguine and my date got some boneless wings. My dish was so flavorless and my date said those were the worse wings he has ever had. 2 stars is described as "Meh. I've experienced better." and that is exactly how our group of five felt about The Yard House. We've experienced better service. We've experienced better food. We've experienced better ambiance. My sister had a gift card so we thought we would give it a try after the Colts game. Yelp reviews looked good and we were excited to try something new. There was no wait and we were seated immediately. Our server was quick to greet us and take our drink order. Their menu is quite large and it took us a while to make a decision. We ordered the onion tower for our app, 2 bowls of soup (chicken noodle and french onion), and a Caesar salad. Entrees included the chicken cobb salad, fish and chips, roast beef dip, pepper jack burger and the grilled cheese with tomato bisque. After we place our order, our server kind of disappears and we are left with empty glasses. We don't see her again until she brings out the soups and salad. Why our appetizer was not brought out before this, I don't know. Nobody was blown away with the soups or salad. The onion rings were eventually brought out and they were OK. I would probably order them again. Our dinners were brought out and we dove in. I had the fish and chips and while their shoestring fries were great, the fish left a lot to be desired. Not much flavor in the beer batter and they were quite greasy. I tried the hubby's grilled cheese and thought the gorgonzola cheese was not necessary. Looking through the menu, I thought that about a lot of items. Like, they were adding ingredients just to add ingredients without thinking about how it will taste. Not a single person in our party finished their meal. We thought that maybe ordering desert would save the meal. Meh! First, when you put creme brulee on your menu, you might want to mention that it is covered in bananas. (note: the printed menu does not list this but the online version does.) Good thing we were not allergic. We also ordered the fresh baked brownie with vanilla ice cream. The brownie is served in the pan that it is baked in. I don't have anything bad to say unlike my previous review of the pizza place I first went to in town Food is always good here. Jerk boneless wings have a huge kick to them. Very good. Of course I'll always come back. I also have never seen bartenders clean their workspace as much as I have seen here. They are constantly cleaning which is amazing. Well done. Went before an Indy 11 game and was not super impressed. The prices were good but the food was ok and the atmosphere was awful. When we sat down, I asked for the speaker to be turned down and was told that was the lowest it could go. I could barely talk to my husband across the table. There were also several large groups seated in the middle of smaller sections which made it loud too. In addition, behind the server area was a door that kept buzzing because it was a fur exit door that servers were periodically going in and out of as well as a cold temp door that slammed every time someone walked out of it. Drew Schweitzer is the best server I have ever had. This was not only because of his Jimmy Neutron hair but he was also very attentive to our table. He advised of his favorite dishes, had great beer recommendations, etc. He had great stories and was so personable as he enlighten us about him and his girlfriend Anita. Drew is referred to as the 'tall dark and handsome' server and certainly suggest you asking for him and be sure to tip well. It's located right by the mall so as far as parking if it's not a busy night there's street parking and u can also park in the circle city mall garage. They have a really large menu for drinks as well as food. I had the the Baja taco and short rob taco which were both delicious. Took advantage of the happy hour and also got some half price appetizers. Got the boneless and traditional wings which were really good. Everthing was seasoned and presented well. We went here on a busy Friday night. Pacer game in town, and a lot of foot traffic. The three of us had never been there so we decided to go. Before going I read the reviews on yelp, and looked at all the pictures. Looked like a fancy place, so I figured it would be expensive. It was a little fancy, and the prices were a little high. I really like the fact that they have the prices on their menu for beer, not many places do. I can't speak on the other alcoholic drinks though. We had spinach queso dip, which was really good and plenty to share. I got the Cuban Pork Roast Dip and Truffle Fries. I've never had truffle fries before and will definitely be getting them again. One negative thing about the place is that none of the sides are listed on the menu. The waitress was very helpful and named all the sides 3 times for each of us because she said them so fast. They had so much food that sounded good that it took us all forever to decide. Will be going back, but for more of a special occasion. read more

This is a chain restaurant. My first visit was in Cincinnati. Glad to have one here in Indy. It's a huge space, and can be a bit dark as it only has one facade with windows and they don't bring in a whole lot of light. This place is huge, seating 692 with a very large bar that has 45 stools.There is a series of large ceiling pipes snaking through the seating area which transports the beer, 100 different ones on tap, from the vats to the bar. Sort of neat. By the time we left, around 1:00 pm, the restaurant was full. I love the menu. Lots of vegetarian items. Lunch specials too. The regular items seemed a little pricey. Burger and fries is $12.95. I chose the grilled cheese, with four different cheeses, and tomato bisque at $11.35. Was my first time here. The decor was nice and place was inviting. My bartender Lauren was great and helped me with any questions I had with the drink and food menu. The manager Jeff Huron is great and very personable and made my first visit very memorable! Not only is the selection of food a reason for returning to an establishment but the service and the feel u are important does as well.
