Why we won't be going back at dinner time: 1. This is the loudest restaurant that I have ever been to and I've been to a lot of loud restaurants. 2. The food was just "meh" 3. The ribs were so tough that they were barely edible and I had to order something else, which was also "meh". 4. Service was really slow. We walked right in and got a table. Our dinner experience was good, food great, waitress good. Leaving the restaurant another client pushed my boyfriend who was holding my baby's car seat and diaper bag, her reasoning was well non she just told him big deal there was no baby in the seat. My mother saw the situation and asked what the problem was and she PUSHED my mother and bent her fingers back and twisted her arm. I was already at the front, Baby in hand and unaware of what was happening. Problem being no staff member stopped this disgusting individual from harming my mother, and no one asked her to leave. I understand you have no control of what other people do in your establishment but you could have asked her to leave- everyone at the bar area and dinning in that area saw what happen. read more

Service was pretty slow, and food arrived quite cold. I'm a fan of yard house, but unfortunately this location just didn't cut it for me. Also the smell of dirty beer taps/or the tray that catches the spill beer was smelling up the entire restaurant, so I would hope they could focus on a more cleanly bar, as we could smell it all the way across the restaurant. read more

Pretty typical place - lots of decent food on the menu - nothing particularly exciting. Lots of beer on the menu as well. We had a large party which they were ill-equipped to handle. Our waitress forgot someone's food completely and they had to wait about ten minutes after the rest of us had our food to get theirs. And the waitress didn't notice, she had to be summoned. She also told us that she'd be splitting the checks, but handed the ONE check to someone else to deliver - so we had to break the news to her. We're a pretty easy going group so we managed just fine even with the couple of mistakes. But it was difficult to sign for the 18% mandatory tip for a large party considering the lack of service we received. This place is average, nothing special. read more

Dishes there are just BIG. Spinach appetizer is so good, so is the seafood spaghetti. The service is slow and a bit impatient.

So the food here is ok, and the drinks are actually pretty good. All that aside, I'm really really disappointed in management. A group of us came to have a good time while watching the Ducks playoff game. We were seated purposefully in front of the television playing the game but as the 2nd period started the channel was unapologetically switched to a different channel! I had an absolutely disaster of an experience at Yard House tonight. We went there at 9:15pm asked for the first available seats for 3 people. They called us after 15 minutes to be seated outside by the door which was fine we were so hungry we didn't care at that point! After about 10-15 minutes of no one even checking to take our orders I went inside to complain and ask if they have any seatings available inside and they said it's about a 15 minute wait. One of the host asked me are we sitting outside and I said yes but since it's taking so long to take our orders we might as well sit inside because it seems like they're forgetting about us. So the waitress came to take our order, her name was Stephanie! She took an order of 3 waters and 1 beer literally. After about another 15 minutes of waiting I went inside really frustrated at this point and asked what's going on and if we can just sit inside because this is ridiculous. The host inside told us just wait a minute I'm gonna get my manager to talk to you guys, she was super rude and her tone was absolutely disgusting!! I was on my way back to my table outside to notice that the beer was there before the 3 water and at this point I was just laughing honestly because of his frustrating and ridiculous this is that the beer came before the waters and we still haven't even got the chance to order the food. The manager came by our table and offered us to sit inside and stuff but we were so full of it and pissed off at this point that we just left and the funny thing is he told us if you guys decided to come back I'll get you seats inside!! The customer service friendly way of doing this would be to offer us some type of a drink voucher or something as courtesy for us waiting so long on a night that wasn't even that busy to come back another time. I will absolutely never go back to this place ever again and I'm very disgusted by the service and attitude after waiting this long specially the host inside with dark hair, she was giving me a lot of attitude. The service was good enough to warrant the 2 stars but everything else was pretty awful. I've never been known to not finish a beer but I couldn't enjoy the warm beer I was served (a beer I normally love!). The bar area smelled gross like it needs a good cleaning. The chicken and cheese on our pizza was rubbery. I've always enjoyed my experiences at the Yard House in Long Beach and Brea....guess I should go back to those ones. I usually have a good time here. However this time the food took forever to come out. There were people who were seated after us that got their food first. I didn't know a burger was such a delicate meal to prepare. I normally wouldn't mind except the sever was chatting it up with one table while we waited 30+ minutes for a burger and an appetizer. Yardhouse is def my favorite place for happy hour!!! 50% off appetizers of great portions! I always get the chicken nachos (like $5) and its hugeeeeee (good for 2-3 people). I've also had their sliders (too greasy for me), pizza (ALL DELICIOUS, my fav is thai chicken pizza), spinach dip (YUMMM) and calamari (really good). I love coming to Yard House, especially after work since it's right there. Even better is the fact that by the time I get off work, it's happy hour. My coworkers and I love coming here. However, tonight was just a different story. Our waitress seemed less than enthusiastic to be there. Everyone, the seven of us, had asked for water, but she only brought two and said she will be right back with the rest. She never came back with water until we asked her again, twice, and she blew us off with the excuse that she forgot. We had ordered the onion ring tower, fried calamari, poke stack and hawaiian pizza. The onion ring tower and calamari were cold when they got to us. When we told her, she said that we should have told her sooner. But we couldn't because she never came by to check on us. We were planning on ordering more food since we didn't eat most of what we had ordered, however she had neglected to notify us of last call for the kitchen as well as for the bar. On any given night I would have rated this place 4 stars, but this particular experience was disappointing. Being a worker in the food industry I understand that working past midnight is not fun for most people, but if that is your shift, at least act like you enjoy being there and make the best out of it. Otherwise, your tips, which most servers rely on, will just be a pathetic reflection of your service. read more

I hate writing bad reviews... but I would've because of Ashley the "manager" and Ricardo the bartender. The ONLY reason this review gets 4 stars is because of Dean. Came in with a group of 15 and literally had to beg to get service tonight. After 20 min of waiting on a Tuesday night to get drinks after we were seated, we reluctantly went to the bar to order. Ricardo was way less than helpful. I finally asked to talk to the manager Ashley who was extra defensive and lame. She offered no understating and would rather offer free drinks than listen to what I had to say. This place was delicious! My friend and I ordered the Macaroni and Cheese lunch special, the sweet potato fries with maple bacon sauce, and the coconut shrimp. The food was delicious, especially the sauce the coconut shrimp was in and the macaroni and cheese. Yard House is a great restaurant. You can tell that they aren't just throwing these dishes out of the kitchen without care, if you are on your way to the bathroom(by the way the bathroom gets a 10/10) you can see how chaotic it is in there. Lets start with the soups, the tomato soup is a bit sugary for my taste, but the clam chowder is amazing, I loved this clam chowder so much it inspired me to make it at home. The Cuban sandwich is pretty meaty and has some flavor, the wushu rolls are deep fried nicely and have a great flavor. Don't get me started about that dessert, the salted caramel is bursting with flavor, but could use more salt, Overall It's is a great restaurant. read more

I was there waiting with a friend for at least 15 mins before someone came to ask for our drink orders and that took 10 mins to get. It is a busy place on a Friday evening but it did not take long for us to get a table. I ordered beer and a steak. The steak was good but it could be more tender. My wife had the glazed sea bass. I tried a portion and it was very good. This is my 2nd time at yard house but not at the same location. I was also with my son, my daughter, and her boyfriend. 2 Stars for "Meh. I've experienced better" is absolutely spot on. This place is just a big regret to say the least. I came with a large party on a Saturday night, we arrived at 7:30 and were told we would be seated at 9:00. They handed us one of those buzzer alerts for when they would have a table ready for us. What is this Outback Steak house? What happened to walking outside the to ask around if a reservation was ready? It's not like you can go anywhere with the buzzer either, the waiters up front literally tell you up front to not go to far since the buzzer doesn't have a far radius. That's friendly customer service for ya. We did get a little lucky and were seated at 8:30, so a one hour wait for a Saturday night isn't too bad. However, when you walk into the place you realize just how large it is. For such a big restaurant, you would think they would be able to squeeze a few tables together. In fact I recall that when we were seated at our table, there were a couple empty tables near us that looked like we could have been seated there a half an hour earlier (One of the tables was never filled throughout the night). That's smart customer service for ya. Finally we met our waiter, Eric, who seemed more into waiting as many tables as possible rather than showing some quality as waiter and really giving our table the attention we deserved. My party ordered bar drinks, but I decided to have a soft drink. Not only was it the worst tasting soda I've ever had from out (as in they cut back on their sugar) but our waiter, Eric, refilled my glass only once through the night. We were there for a good two hours, and I pay 3 dollars for a soda that gets refilled twice? And it's not like when you get to your table there's water waiting for you like at other restaurants. No, that would be too courteous and ruin the atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere, as I already said the place is huge, and yes they do have TV's with big sports games everywhere. But the problem is the games have no volume since they relentlessly play classic rock and loudly, making it impossible to talk to anyone at your table. Obviously, the place isn't child friendly, but I wouldn't discourage adult couples from sitting bar side...that is so long as you don't sit next to the blind date couple that can't seem to get there hands off each other after two drinks. On the topic of drinks, which is why I assume most people go to Yardhouse, they have a HUGE variety of drinks. Makes ya wonder if they really care about quality though, since the amount of drinks is about two pages deep. For some reason our waiter, Eric, or in this case whoever, never seemed to have any organization on who ordered what drink. I don't mean that in a way like "Oh, who ordered this drink" when they come to the table with drinks, no instead I mean drinks came out at a varied times and on top of that 3 other waiters came to our table to see if we had ordered drinks that no one at the table had ordered. Some of the other waiters gave us some pretty cold looks to, yeah that's friendly customer service. Okay, I know I'm going on long but I swear this is nearing the end. The FOOD. I can't complain too much about the food, its just regular salty food from out that everyone expects. Only getting one refill on my drink was killer, but worse was after I finished my dish the waiter, Eric, never came back to get rid of my dish, some other waiter was nice enough to get rid of it for me however, about 10 minutes later. Oh and I'm pretty sure there was nothing on the menu under 10 dolars. It took us a good half an hour to pay the bill, only because our waiter, Eric, never came to collect it. What a classy guy right? So, in conclusion, if you have to go to yardhouse, make a reservation, come with plenty of cash (especially if you have to pay mandatory gratuity, which blows), and come with some earplugs for the music. You won't get much from yardhouse but a lot of regret, and hopefully you don't get our waiter, ERIC. Not even a mint in the front to clench your pallet, disgraceful. read more

I had a pleasant experience dinning at the Yard House. I had a fairly large group and the waiter was polite despite having some of my colleagues running late. As for the food they have a simple menu to order off but they have a wide range of beers to try but since I am not a beer drinker it does not apply to me. The food was great in order a grill chicken avocado sandwich with fruit on the side. I thought it was cool that you could substitute fries for fruit. We didn't have to wait long for our food and once we finished they offered to split the bill 9 ways which I thought it was cool. Overall I would go there again. read more

Yard house is always good. I have worked my way through the entire menu, love it all. I have not made it through the entire beer selection however. I have been stumbling out of Yard Houses all over this state for a decade now. Many intentional "only going for 2 beers" nights have ended in trying to explain to a cab driver were I think I live. The yard house at spectrum has a better and larger selection of beer than the yardhouse at costa mesa and newportbeach. the drinks are all fresh from the tap and the happy hour is delious. Jamaican jerk chicken wings, chicken strips, the pizza and many more items on the menu are good. If you like hefs you gota try the Eierdinger sp? Hefeweizen. if you like ciders, try the Woodchuck cider. Only bad thing, the spectrum yard house does not offer the late night menu! very sad and very dissapointing 3.8 stars read more
