The yard house at spectrum has a better and larger selection of beer than the yardhouse at costa mesa and newportbeach. the drinks are all fresh from the tap and the happy hour is delious. Jamaican jerk chicken wings, chicken strips, the pizza and many more items on the menu are good. If you like hefs you gota try the Eierdinger sp? GREAT PLACE, been to the one at newport beach and then to the one here at spectrum this weekend. The food was great, I shared the Thai Chicken salad (which was noodle with vegetables- spicy)- delicious, Penne Roasted Chicken, both of which me and the other person could not finish. DISGUSTING and the WORST service EVER. Took an hour for our food. Messed up our order. My sister's pizza and salad had a bug crawling in it and the manager Mo was unapologetic & said "with the wash we use on that I'm surprised it survived". He took the plate, brought a new one back without the salad, but STILL charged us for it!! Great food, great service and average beer. It's always packed and very loud inside. It has an outdoor area with heaters. The selection of beer is great, hard liquor is a little expensive but the beer prices are reasonable. My favorite food here is the sliders with sweet potato fries. read more

Let's talk chicken, firecracker chicken. Spiciness was expected, however it was agreed that the spiciness was mainly there to cover a very bland chicken. I will admit the Moscow mule was tasty and it was in a trendy little copper cup. I feel bad for the servers, looks like they try hard but the kitchen seems slow. Definitely overpriced, casual atmosphere with not so casual prices. I came here because my girlfriend wanted to, and she would probably be the only reason I'd come back. Not impressed. As I sit, waiting for a bartender to offer me a refill on my Bud-Light. I get to sit back and appreciate the tremendous business and hustle of this individual restaurant. The Floor Manager doesn't even seem to have enough time to look up and survey the success of their location. That's why I'm not surprised I had to splash my beloved side order of fries with ketchup instead of pouring my ketchup onto a small dish and dipping them like I normally would. Can I get some ranch? I wouldn't mind paying extra. Or how about an additional napkin besides the one for my placemat. Nevertheless, I understand why my service was comprised. There are more important-looking and promising patrons (white collar). I tired to incentivise these employees by leaving my wallet on the bar with the cash to show as a sign that I'm capable of leaving a gratuitous TIP. This was an embarrassing attempt to feel as important as the other patrons. I previously wrote a review of the Yard House in Fashion Island because that was my "go to" hang out spot and I gave it 5 stars based on a variety of factors all of which were excellent. Due to a change in the location of my job I have now started coming to the Yard House in Irvine Spectrum. At first, I was a little hesitant but this location turned out to be just as perfect as the Fashion Island location. My latest visit to this particular location was a couple days ago on Tuesday. I arrived just after Happy Hour ended and was able to get a seat right in the center of the bar. There was a 3 on 3 basketball tournament playing on the TV in front of me and classic rock pumping over the speakers. It was already turning into a perfect night. My bartender greeted me with a happy smile and took my order. I started off with a Rogue IPA. It arrived right away, was fresh, and perfectly chilled. It tasted like heaven. I pursued the menu while enjoying my first round of beer. The various bartenders all regularly checked in with me until I was finally ready to order my dinner. I order the fried chicken entree and also a second round of the Rogue IPA. While I was sipping on my second beer, listening to the classic rock, and occasionally checking out the cast of characters surrounding me at the bar, I felt right at home and was warmly buzzing in my new home. My dinner came just in time, as I was absolutely starving, the fried chicken nearly burned my mouth and was absolutely mouth watering and tender right out of the fryer. The sides of mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and gravy were a perfect addition. I was honestly not expecting the fried chicken to knock me over in terms of taste but it was absolutely delicious with that perfect mix of tenderness and crispiness! I paid my bill and went home for the evening. If this wasn't a five star experience than I don't know what is. Came here on 5/28 with some work colleagues for dinner. Took awhile to get our drinks and they weren't that busy. More importantly, DO NOT ORDER THE PAN SEARED AHI from here. I got SEVERE FOOD POISONING and was sick for the next 24 hours. I've reached out to the health inspectors office as the food is not suitable and safe for human consumption as it's clearly contaminated. Will never return to Yard House as the quality and service has taken a steep decline in recent years. You've been forewarned! read more

Haven't been to yard house in a while but finally got a chance to go today. I went with my husband and kids. My waitress was great and so was my food. The part that disappointed me was the bus boys and waiters around me. We got up to start picking up our bags and grab the kids to go and just couldn't catch a break from the service staff including waiters for other near by tables. I didn't have much room around me and just trying to get a safe grip of my 8 month old in my arms when a waiter who only gave me 10 seconds rushed passed me in anger and even pushed me n my 8 month old!!! My husband tried to get up with our 2 year old too and our bags and was shot down right easy by 3 waiters/bus boys. While I stood in the small aisle trying to be still as they walked aggressively passed me n even grazed or pushed me slightly. They didn't even say excuse me or I'm sorry! No acknowledgement what so ever except that we were not worth their time n my kids safety was of no importance to them!!! Even our neighbor apologized on behalf of their waiters rudeness. Where to start. Selection of beer is amazing and the bar layout is perfect! Chalk board beers are always interesting and bartenders let you try it before you get a full glass. We came here for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night and were seated promptly, and had ample time to enjoy each other's company without waiting too long for our food. A little disappointed in the amount of food that comes with the spinach and artichoke dip, but we split it between 4 people -- it was probably more suited for 2 people. I agree with Tiffany's review about the middle age men trying to score at the bar. The guys and I chose a table to watch the game and finish up the workdays details. All is good.
