The Yard House is one of my favorite chains to visit!! I used to be a huge fan in Indianapolis so I was excited to see when we moved back to Illinois that there was one not too far from our house! First off, there is often a wait here on the weekends or even some evenings, so I suggest joining their online wait list. If you don't join ahead of time and join in the restaurant, I find they don't give accurate wait times so whatever they quote, just double it to be safe. -- However stick with me cuz your visit will be worth the wait! As a vegetarian, I love all of their gardein options and give their Gardein wings a 12/10. Totally recommend! I also love their beer selection, they have a lot of locals and various sizes you can order their drafts in. My biggest tip is to go during Happy Hour which I believe is 4-6 pm M-F. Select apps are half off (including my beloved Gardein wings) and they have specials on beer and cocktails! The service is generally good, but with any big restaurant, it can be hit or miss. Overall I could go to YH every week and be a happy lady. Love this place and recommend everyone (especially vegetarians) give it a try! read more

We went to Yard House for a casual Sunday lunch where we could watch the Ole Miss Women's Basketball game. The game was on and the atmosphere was jovial and fun. We ordered nachos to start which had a fair amount of toppings - chicken, beans, cheese, tomatos, jalapeños, guac and sour cream. The chips were crispy, the toppings plentiful and whole dish was hot and the guac and sour cream were cold on top. Yum!! For lunch we had some burgers and wings which were really good - and large enough portions there was quite a bit to take home. While the food is good, my favorite thing about this restaurant is the ambiance! I love it in there! It is light, airy, and comfortable. This was my second time at this location. I preferred my burger last time over the cheesesteak that I ordered this visit. The burgers are very good btw. I think the cheesesteak looked better than it actually tasted. I felt that the tables were spaced far apart and there was a decent amount of heaters around. What drew me to the location was the happy hour specials. Two dollars off beer and half price apps. I decided to try this restaurant for the first for a lunch take out/pick up on the way home from work. I found out about this place after asking a coworker who was a local and recommended it. The reviews here were not all the best (4-1/2 or 5 stars) though the more negative and low-star reviews were talking about customer service which I cannot really comment on because I was taking out. I ordered over the phone leaving work. The person answering and taking my order seemed unhappy or at least apathetic about working there but otherwise, the call went fine. When I got to the front counter my order was ready and everything was in the bag that I had ordered. I ordered a Korean BBQ Cheesesteak with fries. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the sandwich and the number of fries and even the takeout plastic container. The sandwich was filled with meat and other ingredients. Though the restaurant is not (that I know) an ethnic specialty place I wanted to try this "ethnically" labeled sandwich and again I liked the taste, seasoning, etc. I believe the meat might have been a bit too charred for my taste it was still very good and something I would try again and recommend to others. The fries were nothing special, just regular 'ol fries not really seasoned but again good and amenable to my own seasoning/preparation (best fries in my opinion are the potato "wedges" of Red Robin or other places that do more steak fries type of preparations). My partner later had a bite of my leftover sandwich and said it was good but nothing spectacular. I agree with my partner's observation though again for a sandwich from a restaurant that is not Korean-owned/run I think the sandwich was very acceptable. If anyone can recommend another Korean restaurant that serves bulgogi and sandwiches like this along Butterfield Road going east through Downers Grove, Oak Brook, Westchester, and up to Forest Park and Oak Park off of Des Plaines Avenue or Lathrop up through River Forest and Elmwood Park please leave your recommendations/suggestions in comments or feel free to privately message me restaurant names. All in all, I will likely be visiting this restaurant and trying some more menu selections soon and I recommend it to others. read more

Let me make this easy for you. YES you should no NEED to give this place a try. Walked in and was told the wait was about twenty mins. Because of the current pandemic they asked that customers wait in their cars/ outside while they wait. They advised us we could order a drink at the bar and enjoy it on chairs set up in front while we waited. We had the salted watermelon margarita (tasty not too sweet) and their honey beer ( light, sweet, refreshing ). We got sat in 20 mins in their indoor/outdoor patio area that has a beautiful view. THE FOOD. The Poke nachos are PERFECTION. Fresh tuna, kick of spice. Nice crunch from the crispy wonton. I will go back specifically for this item. We also had the Mac and Cheese which was RICH and creamy and tasty. ( I'm not a fan of truffle so I did both items without it and still DELICIOUS) Last item we tried were the traditional wings in buffalo sauce. Yummmmmm. Spicy, sauce, flavorful. Good sized wings. The biggest meat lover to a strict vegan will be happy. They had 3 options for an old fashioned. I went with the Old 43 which is Woodford reserve bourbon, liquor 43, citrus agave and orange bitters. It had a really nice flavor to it. For an appetizer I had the traditional wings with Korean chili garlic sauce. It was so good it was hard to stop eating them. The wings were plump and juicy. The flavor was a mixture of both sweet and spicy. The best way to describe them would be juicy, spicy, candy. It was great. For my meal I had the lobster garlic noodles. Which comes with Maine lobster, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, spinach, and Parmesan cheese. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The shrimp and lobster were plentiful. The shrimp were huge juicy and perfectly cooked as was the lobster. The veggies were a nice addition. The flavors are mild and satisfying. It was delicious. If you love pasta and seafood get this dish you won't be disappointed. For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake. It was really good. Moist and chocolaty. It was a great way to end a delicious meal. We ordered Pinot grigio, poké nachos which was kinda weird, this one was the ONLY one I didn't care for with the raw fish on top and I usually LOVE sushi.
