Visited during 4th of July weekend & was seated right away in a booth (wasn't super busy) huge place w/TV monitors & great beer/alcohol selection as well as variety of food selections. I ordered ahi tuna salad which was okay but not memorable I've had better elsewhere. My friend ordered salad & wings & commented her wings were good. Oddly the wait staff seemed like they were performing their job bare minimum. Each time a staff delivered either a drink or entree to our table they would place it at the end of the table (not in front of us) & seemed like they rather be anywhere else but there. I went this past Sunday for a late lunch w/friends. We got seated quickly and browsed their rather hectic menu. After ordering cocktails and trying them out we ordered entrees. I got 1 steak street taco for $6 (wowzers), and the lobster, shrimp, crab pasta dish. The food came out fairly quickly too, which was good & bad. My pasta was overcooked and it had a funny taste and after taste to it. It's not a bad dish, but something was off. The street taco was DELICIOUS! This is the second time that my wife and I have given this place a try. This place looks great, it's open but doesn't feel extremely roomy has a similar layout to the restaurant prior (Champps Americana). As far as the experience it was pretty bad, our waitress wasn't welcoming, not rude but weird. Our appetizer was boneless wings, the outer texture was that of a microwaved piece of beef, rather chewy and disappointing. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich for my meal., it made the Burger King chicken sandwich look gourmet but twice the price. The best thing I had was my drink, it was enjoyable and not too pricey $11.00 for bourbon. We will not be returning here, and I do not recommend going here. came here on a monday evening for happy hour (half off appetizers from 3-6pm!!) really great deal and portion sizes. in order from our favorites to least favorite: 1. poke nachos -- nachos are the best deal here. huge portions and the poke nacho was definitely not something we've tried before! 2. boneless chicken wings (korean chili garlic) - loved the sauce. they are quite thick so the insides were a little dry/lacked flavor but overall tasted good. 3. chicken lettuce wraps -- good flavors and the sauces were nice. i guess we are used to authentic chicken lettuce wraps where the chicken is minced and there's water chestnuts etc. so the texture wasn't there but the flavor was still decent. 4. cheese curds -- first time trying cheese curds--definitely..cheesy. i think they're fine but just weren't my taste. will definitely come back for happy hour again if i'm ever in the area! read more

I hate to leave this review, because we had a great server and a good time. But I ordered the Spicy Tuna Stack and got sick. I knew it was the tuna because I was the only one at the table who ate it. I heard about yard house several times and a co. Worker went and raved about it, so i went the same week on a saturday night. I thought it was a fun lively place to go fir good food and great drinks, the house flight of beers to try was great for me as there are so many beers its hard to decide on the create your own flight. I feel like the price on cocktails was reasonable given that 90% if good cocktail places average about 16-20 bucks now days. So at 10 bucks a cocktail i can get with that. All of the food was great, i had an excellent 20oz ribeye dinner perfectly cooked. The plates were very large!! Steak was juicy and the boneless wings are on point, get the whiskey black pepper sauce and asian thai chilli they were really good. This is a good hangout spot with a good vibe and 80s rock music also i loved the racial diversity of customers, that's how you know a place is pretty good. I will return here a lot. If you prefer a tropical drink, I highly suggest the Pineapple Express. Another tasty beverage on the list is the Rose Refresher; it is a bit crisp. If you are a beer drinker, you have over 100+ choices of beer to choose from; there is no limit here. They also offer beer flights so you can try a few different ones at a smaller amount. You cannot go wrong with any of their menu options from the Moo Shu Egg rolls to the incredible Spinach Cheese Dip with the flatbread. Let's now talk about the staff: the staff at this location is incredible. The bartenders are energetic and want to ensure that as a consumer, you have a pleasant experience. The team of "night" bartenders that I tend to have are fantastic, they're high energy and always ready to chit chat. If you are going to get a dessert because it is hard not to have a sweet tooth when you visit Yard House, I highly suggest the Mini Chocolate Souffle Cake or the Mini Peach Cobbler (with vanilla ice cream instead of caramel). read more

I'm a fan of their location in Chicago's New City mall, which is a geat spot for a quick meal before a movie at Arc Light. This is very similar, except is a less intimate vibe for dining. Yard House has one of the best selections of entree salads. I never order anything else. This time I chose the Skirt Steak Cobb Salad, and it was outstanding. Greens, (I skip the kale), tomatoes, edamame, carrots, radish, egg, bleu cheese, corn, bacon, avocado and ranch dressing. (Ask for a a double helping of dressing, as the portion is small.) I ordered the steak medium, and it was cooked perfectly. My friend started with the lobster dip and had the chicken nachos as his entree. He devoured both. What more can I say? We've never had bad service. Our server today, Sam, was fantastic and very attentive. Food is decent with many options. Beer is cold with many choices. Honestly, the only reason we're giving this 3 stars is the amount of fruit flies in the building. It's overwhelming and is a turn off. We ate lunch and probably would have stayed for happy hour had we not felt swarmed with flies. This was not our first time here and every time we have come, regardless of where we've sat, we have dealt with the flies. Take a day, thoroughly clean every nook and cranny in your restaurant and reopen. It makes us wonder what's wrong with the place that we can't see... read more

****  RECOMMEND  ****   We tried going to Yard House once on a Saturday night, and it was too packed, so we left.  We came back for a Saturday early lunch and got seated right away.   It's a fairly large place, so they have quite a bit of seating.  It's very roomy, high ceilings, and cozy booths and tables.  TVs are placed throughout the restaurant for sports-viewing.    Our waitress was friendly, helpful and did a great job.   We'd had a very late breakfast and so I wasn't very hungry.  This means I didn't get to order a big meal like I would normally have done.  Next time!  They had a huge menu with a ton of selections.  Takes a while to go through it all.  I was surprised to even see some sushi/poke options.    We had the Wisconsin cheese curds app.  I believe they were about $10, but you got a HUGE mound of them.  Unlike some of the recent places we've visited.  They're lightly breaded, and you get 2 sauces:  a horseradish sauce and a red, sweet sauce.  I wasn't a fan of either, and so they gave me some ranch dressing.    They have a nice draft beer selection, and so I did a "choose your own" flight.  Good stuff.   I had a bowl of chicken tortilla soup - highly recommend!  It was slightly creamy, with huge chunks of chicken, fresh avocado chunks, tortilla toppings and not too spicy.  It was the perfect size for me after all those cheese curds.   My husband loved his boneless buffalo wings, and was impressed enough to say he wants to go back again sometime.  That's saying a lot, since he's a self-proclaimed buffalo wing aficionado.  The dessert menu also looked great, and so I think we'll be making a trip back very soon! read more

It's like a vegetarian's paradise. So many Beyond Meat and Gardien options. My mouth was watering. However, I'd say, we all ended up being disappointed. I mean I like Beyond in general, but the burger was just ok. Gardien chicken was something new for me and I didn't like it. I think some of them liked the pasta. We went on a Saturday night & the place was crowded so you should get there early to get a table by a tv with your game on it. The food was very good we both had the jumbalaya & it had tons of seafood & meat in it with the spice just right. The prices here are on the high side. We did have an issue with an appetizer. We ordered the spinach dip & the entrees came out first. We tried to cancel it & the waiter said it couldn't be cancelled but that he'd comp the app which he did. It eventually came out after we finished our entrees. The service here was very good, they have runners bring out the food when it's ready so it's very quick. We had a party of six and none of us have ever experienced anything like this: our server took our order for drinks, appetizers, and entrees and then asked us to pay our bill and give him his tip in advance before we even received our food! He was "at the end of his shift" and was worried about not getting his tip. He clearly did not trust the restaurant or his fellow servers to share tips. The new shift waitress did not follow-up on drink refills, no follow-up on desert or after dinner drinks. We had to flag down a bus-boy to get boxes for our left-over food! This was my first time and it was good. Nothing knocked my socks off. Had the deviled eggs appetizer and enjoyed the tomato relish on top. Love that it wasn't your typical deviled egg. Had a chicken, bacon, avocado sandwich with lettuce wrap and tomato bisque soup. If you like tomato bisque with more tomato than cream, this is your kind of soup. I want more cream. YH is an upscale sports bar that is a great place if you want to watch a big game and have a large menu to pick from. Likewise, they have some of the LARGEST beers around in their special "yard" size. I really want to give YH five stars; I really do. But, every time I go there, either the service or the food isn't all that special (especially for the prices you pay for the menu items) and the service is very inconsistent. Is YH trendy? Yes. Is YH a great place to watch sports? Yes. Is YH a great place to go after a long day of work for happy hour specials? Yes. But when there are a dozen other restaurants (a handful of sports bars, too), the inconsistencies at YH need to be fixed. All the food I have had has been average, and the service has been just average. The things I do recommend on the menu are: (1) the Maui Pineapple Chicken; it has the perfect balance between a sweet and a bitter, char-grilled taste, and (2) the grilled chicken avocado sandwich w/ sweet potato fries. However, I do not recommend getting the mac and cheese nor the peach cobbler. The mac and cheese has a very weird after taste and the peach cobbler is virtually flavorless. I definitely recommend trying YH, I just think that the food and service can improve considering they have been open for a couple of months now. read more

It was served with chips and tortillas I preferred the chips over the tortillas but both were good. We also got the barbecue chicken salad pictured is the small portion which was huge and very good. Chicken was warm and fresh. We also got the original cheesesteak which was made with a higher cut of steak rather than the traditional, but still soft enough to enjoy like a regular cheesesteak sandwich. Very good as well. I've been to several Yard Houses in other cities but this was my first time at the newly opened Lombard restaurant. They are all very similar with this version being newer and has a large outdoor seating area. Stellar beer list is the usual draw (100 on tap) but the food is quite good. Comprehensive menu with lots of options including many more vegetarian choices than I remember on the menu at other locations. Lots of TVs and they were open to changing one to the game we wanted to watch. Happy hour deals on food and drinks. Large bar area and large booths available for bigger groups. It's a chain but it's a good one and they seem to have the service aspect down. Prices could be a buck or two lower on most items is my only complaint. Glad to have them in town. read more

Dining room is spacious. Huge bar in the middle. Televisions are everywhere so odds are you won't miss the "Big Game." Huge beer menu! I recommend the House Lager. Not too strong and full flavor. I had the Classic Cheeseburger Medium Rare and they got it right. Fries were good too, solid "A." My wife had the street tacos. She was very satisfied. My son had a burger too and he inhaled it.
