It has been some time since our last visit. I recall being there on a weekend night. It was very crowded and loud, and our overall experience was less than desirable. We went for lunch yesterday. What a pleasant experience. We were seated promptly. We were given time to allow for making a decision on our beverage orders. While the beverages were being retrieved, we used that time to decide on our lunches. Both my wife and I had a sandwich. She had the beef while I had chicken. They were delicious. I was served a burger accompanied with a very dry and sickly looking pickle. I had to ask to get it replaced meanwhile my wife waited to get silverware as the hostess failed to provide the table any. With my pickle replaced and silverware provided, l began eating with my family only to bite into a cold burger with a hockey puck of a bun. Seems like the entire plate of food was sitting out for hours which would explain the pickles appearance. Our waiter was cool though; the burger was replaced & comped but I paid the price in the restroom that night. Went during mid week for happy hour. Got seated right away out on the patio. Ordered for happy hour appetizers for two people and it was way too much. The blackened ahi was thick sliced, tender and flavorful. The ahi nachos were tasty, the pizza had a nice crispy thin crust with a bit spicy sausage and pepperoni. Our family loves it here. The menu is huge, the portions are big, the food is always good, the service even better. It has great views on the patio. I had the beer and my wife had the grapefruit Paloma There plenty of beer choices to pick from which was great. The food. was good. We had started with the hot wings which were good For the mai. Course we had the cheese pizza. Fish and chips and a steak salad. Unfortunately, we had to put wait at least an hour for a taco plate. It took our waiter 3 times to get our order down and the second time he forgot to order the taco plate. Our waiter did take the charge off of the taco plate but waiting an hour was not worth it. Chicken tortilla soup: 2/5 stars, it was soooooo damn salty Kurobuto pork burger: 3/5 stars, patty was delicious and they blueberry ketchup, wasn't good. It just tasted like over the top sweet bbq sauce. It can with fries thatvwere slightly crispy and a pickle that needed to be "resuscitated." Pork chop with asian veggies: 5/5 pork chop had beautifully charred grill marks and super juicy and perfectly seasoned. The veggies were good but the broccolini was undercooked and it came with a sweet/chili dipping sauce. Topo Chico: 2/5 it wasn't flat it just didn't taste crispy and refreshing. Just my opinion. It was a hustle and bustle atmosphere with all the workers just zipping around. But it was not our scene and the service was lacking. The food was ok. This place is normally busy. But yesterday was happy hour, on a Labor Day weekend Friday night busy!! Fortunately, you can join the waiting list online while you walk around and enjoy the little shops and the board walk as you wait for your table. It's a good thing they at least have that waitlist feature as there were probably 15-20 different groups of people waiting to be seated. We unfortunately sat at the high top, which for 4 people at Happy Hour is a really small space. They had no outside seating at that time for us. We ordered 4 green tea shots, 4 different drinks, sliders, carnivore sliders, chicken nachos, and boneless wings. So you can imagine the table was extremely cramped with all the plates, utensils, glasses, and food on the table. The food was good. What you would expect at Yard House. Simple, standard, medium type quality. Hits the spot as needed. The pizza was good, and the sliders were good. Nachos were a bit much with how much stuff they load on top. Chips on the bottom were either stuck to each other or the plate and became a soggy mess. The boneless chicken wings were good. The green tea shots weresbitter and sour. It's not refreshing at all. And it literally was a shot. Whereas at the yard house in Ontario, it's an actual drink and taste amazing. But they redeemed themselves with the pineapple drink we ordered. The portions are pretty generous and consistent. The service is mediocre, and there are always plenty of seating so even on the busy times it is pretty easy get a seat. However during busy times in my experience, servers do tend to check up on you less just because they have more on their plate. Today I had their salmon dish and while taste is subjective, in my opinion the veggies were on the softer/mushier side but everything else tasted fine. I also liked how the dish is served with less salt so that the customers are able to fix it to their liking. I must say every dish or drink they serve always has great presentation. Everything always looks fresh and lovely. The hardest part of dining here is definitely the parking. During the weekends it is incredibly hard to find a parking spot. Parking is also not free as every parking spot near the area costs you, some charge per hour while some are a one time charge. Although there depending where you park you are able to get your parking ticket validated. Meaning if you go to any shops or restaurants in the area, in Shoreline Village or The Pike, and ask them to validate your parking ticket it comes out to free. I've only done this a handful of times and it has worked every time, but I'm not sure if it works for every single parking spot in the area. I absolutely love coming here! The view of the harbor is so beautiful. I love sitting outside and dining. The inside is also equally as nice though. Some friends and I came here before we went to the aquarium and we had such a wonderful time. Sean our server was great and did not miss a beat. I got the teriyaki chicken bowl, which was so good and healthy and didn't have a ton of salt and sauce which I liked. For the table, we got the truffle fries and they were so good! What a great spot right on the marina, with a beautiful view! I came here for happy hour on a weekday to get a little work done. I was very happy with the wifi and with the attentiveness Grace provided. She was so sweet, and took my shellfish allergy very seriously. She made me feel very comfortable ordering the fish tacos and confirmed with management that they could be grilled and cooked separate from the shellfish for me. When my spot got to sunny she moved me to a different servers area, Uly, and they both made sure my experience remained positive.
