Clam chowder discontinued and changed fish and chips to a single piece of fish used to be multiple and still wasn't enough. Tastes great but no value in one piece for $20. Kinda disappointed. I was there beginning of may. First time to that location. It is in the small mall, call "The River". 1) standard yardhouse decor, clean. Modern look. 2) Waitress and other employees are super nice and friendly and fast and attentive. 3) Food and appertizer arrived very fast. 4) Beer is good, accordingly to my husband. 5) Very good atmosphere. We had amazing service. Our server was very tentative and was great with handling special requests. The manager was quick and helpful with an issue on the bill, and gladly fixed the discrepancy. This Yardhouse is pretty big, and as always with Yardhouse they have a huge bar. I love the dim lighting! They have blue lights in the dining areas with the booths so it is nice and dark so you can enjoy your meal. The food was great. They have a big vegetarian menu. Some of the menu items are vegan friendly as well. They offer lots of gardein meat dishes that are very filling. The Gardein Orange Chicken is one of my favorites. And I always have to go with the Buffalo Cauliflower with spicy tahini sauce. It is the best!!!!! Great appetizer and pretty filling all by itself. Jess our server, greeted us right away, but small delay in getting our drinks- honey blondes- and topo chico, ordered quac and chips, which were pretty tasty and great , lemon would had made perfect, started with Caesar salad and chicken tortilla soup, the soup was sooo tasty, great if we had silverware, as this was a little delayed as well, I had Korean bbq tacos- no bueno, meat had an expired aroma, next day, belly did not feel well. The wait time for dinner last night was 30-45 min. After checking with the Host to be placed on the list, you are notified once your table is ready to be seated by text. I shopped at the River until my table was ready. I ordered the Blackened Shrimp tacos with cabbage slaw, chipotle sauce. I really enjoyed the sauces within the taco. The vampire style taco was +$2-3 extra to have your taco shell cooked in a layer of cheese with a corn tortilla. Unfortunately the vampire style taco was too hard to bite into and it turned into a fight with your food moment. The taco shell was so hard that it definitely affected my eating experience. I enjoyed the Beans served with the two Shrimp tacos they were well spiced out of the dish and brought flavor to the bland rice. The "Spicy Rice" served with this dish is a tomato based rice however it has no flavor, nor heat as claimed. The rice was also wet and mushy. The food was filling. I wish I had the opportunity to finish the second taco with the vampire style presentation. I decided to scoop out it's contents because the shell was awfully difficult to bite through. The Tiki Colada my friend had ordered tasted more like a medicine. The Acho Chile Liquor unfortunately didn't pair well with the pineapple in this drink. I think if there was more Coco Real cream that would take away from the pungent unappealing taste. The drink was about $15. A guest in my party that ordered the Chicken strips voiced that the dish had something off about them. They were not able to specify if they were undercooked. However they made it clear to me something wasn't right about this dish. After taking a bite out some notice that the chicken strips like flavor and spice entirely. This was not appetizing. The fries was the only thing enjoyed on that plate. I always enjoy dining at this location because of the stellar customer service and great energy fostered by the staff. Good food! However the fish sandwich could use alittle sauce BUT still good! The chicken wings were alittle spicy for my tast but still good! The nachos were awesome and was a huge platter. It's actually called fra-chos not nachos. Has tomatoes, steak, green onion, cheese, sour cream, avacodo, jalapeños and what looks to be cilantro. Really good I just took off the jalapeños. The service was awesome as always. We always get the same lady somehow and she is really great. Thier ranch is pretty decent too for all you ranch goers out there. Came here Sunday night for dinner. Ordered the Whiskey salmon with mash potatoes and veggies. By carrots were delicious but my broccoli a little burned. Overall salmon 5/5 cooked to perfection. Mistakes on order and 'Meh' Food I've eaten here more than once, hoping that there would be improvement on the quality of food. It's not bad really, its just not very good either. On our last visit our order was messed up. 1st, they brought 2 appetizers out when we ordered only one and charged us for it. Then they added ingredients to my burger that I expressly asked to NOT be included. And finally, they brought out a completely wrong entrée for a toddler. We ordered a kids grilled cheese sandwich...and got a huge, adult sized portion of Mac and Cheese. Well, I guess they got the cheese part correct. The waiter apologized for the mix up and brought the grilled cheese out when it was done but by that time the toddler had eaten pieces off our plates of other things and wasn't hungry. However, the experience today at the Rancho Mirage location was very lackluster our server Lory was very rude and non-appearing. The booth itself was quite dirty, there were stains and food still stuck on there. It just felt very dirty not to mention when I went to the restroom every stall was out of toilet paper, seat covers, pee on every seat cover, and most of them were not flushed... it makes you think, if they don't clean the basics what is the kitchen like?? Awesome place! The food is amazing and the service even better. The portions are very generous and everyone is so friendly. We got queso dip for an appetizer, comes with small flour tortillas and chips. Also the large, plate size pretzel with a thick cheese sauce and mustard. I must admit, I'm a bit surprised after reading some of the lower star ratings for Yard House on Yelp. My partner and I have eaten here about four times. We have loved everything we have had here. We don't have a lot of experience with different items on the menu. But what we did have was very delicious. I've had their burgers, fries made with truffle oil, sweet potato fries, a salad, a nacho plate appetizer for two and my partner has had the bar-b-q chicken pizza. Everything has always tasted really good. Oh, and we LOVE the artichoke dip made with several cheeses served with crisp pita bread and chips. We share that every time we're there and are practically fighting one another to lick the bowl clean of any remaining artichoke dip. It's really tasty. The staff has always been professional and upbeat. It can be a bit loud for my taste but it is a large restaurant. It has a hustle and bustle to it. The design of the restaurant is a lot of fun to take it. It has an upscale look to the overall layout and ambiance but it's actually more affordable than getting breakfast at IHOP! It might be because we don't order alcoholic beverages which can rack up the check pretty fast. This Yard house provides probably the worst service among all the locations. We walked in around 2pm on Nov 29th, that was not in the rush hour! The host at the front dest was busy chatting with her coworker when we walked in. I told her we have total of 6 people, she responded with absolutely with straight face "what's your phone number?". I gave her my number with absolutely no idea how long I supposed to be waiting. She took my number and said nothing after! Went back imminently to talk to her coworker again. When it's our turn, she told us to "scoot over" with absolutely no manners. We were just stood over there near the front desk had no idea how much longer we need to be waiting! Haven't been to a Yard House in ages. Me and my buddies finished a round of golf and decided to stop in for a few beers, appetizers and to watch a ball game. Had a couple of beers, spicy edamame and queso dip. The two appetizers were outstanding. I haven't had queso dip prepared in that manner and it was terrific. We sat at the bar, and Joe the bartender was quick, efficient, and very pleasant. The only reason for the four stars instead of five, was the passive-aggressive manager that apparently took issue with us due to something one of us said to the hostess. The problem is that he didn't actually hear the comment, he arrived to the hostess stand after anything was said, so he had no business interjecting himself into the scenario. First off, I got the Thai pork chop. It was good unfortunately I sat for quite a while before I ever saw a server. Ordered tonic with lime that took an extremely long time to get. She said the bar was slow and she couldn't get my drink. It's not an alcoholic beverage so that struck me as being a little odd. My food took what seemed like 30 minutes or more. I was kind of expecting to get better service than that. I've been here to this Yardhouse probably 20 times. The service was not to the standard I have received here before. My server didn't introduce herself, all she did was take my food order and drop of my drink then i never saw her after that. Then the manager, David, came to give more water and answered a question if I could get the bone out of the Thai Grilled Pork Chop (he said of course no problem) and numerous people asked about refills for waters and drinks. Went to Yard House yesterday for happy hour & received nothing less than EXCEPTIONAL service by Steph! She was super busy with quite a handful of tables but handled it like a pro.
