So this is your typical upscale - high volume sports bar. Basically a sports bar with some class. There is a ton of seating here, and a huge bar with ample selection; I don't know how many taps, 100? Lots. They claim to have "obscure ales", but I've been here twice now and I've yet to see more then 5 or 6 beers I had either never heard of, or hadn't tried yet. (Disclaimer: I am a beer freak. I frequent such places as The Stumbling Monk, The Pine Box, and the Deluxe, for no other reason then to try out that "new beer" as soon as it hits Seattle's taps.) They only had one sour, which I only think is weird because they have so many taps. I've only snacked here so I can't really comment on the food just yet. A friend ordered the ice cream flight and we all tasted it - that was delicious. We also sort of passed around a basket of fries and some onion rings that were nothing to write home about. I think once my vanilla palleted friends are not accompanying me, I shall try the parmesan truffle fries instead of the regular ones - sounds much better! The service is good here (they have all been overly friendly so far), but it's never really packed so I would expect them to be on their A game with half capacity. I'm glad this place is downtown and that they are open and serving later then most places in the area, it won't be a destination for me but I'll definitely pop in again if I'm wandering downtown looking for a beer or a bite. read more

The truffle fries weren't as truffly as I was hoping they'd be, and the avocado seemed a little more guacamole like than fresh avocado in my club sandwich. Since I didn't grab any beers on tap this time around, I can't straight up 5 star this place and the review is based solely on the food. Also I should mention that I got it to go since it was late into the night and my fiancee and I were just hungry and wanted to grab something quick and eat it at the hotel down the road. So, obviously the food isn't going to be as great as if you ate in. 3 stars for the food. +1 star for the service. The hostess at the front was super nice and took our to-go order for us very quickly. She got the food out to us and was really sweet every step of the way. If you're actually dining in, definitely order something from the first 3 pages of the menu (aka all the beers they have on tap) it's such a great selection it makes me tear up just thinking about it! read more

Came here with a friend at her suggestion. Knew they were known for their extensive beer list and also a zillion and one menu items. Sometimes places that offer so much can't do any of them right. This place? Not the case. At all. It's no surprise that a restaurant with so many great reviews will continue to get great reviews. Consider this one more. We sat in the restaurant for probably close to 3 hours. Our server was Will - who was awesome as hell - and we blew about $100 on food and drinks. We ordered the garlic chicken noodle appetizer, the guacamole and chips snack, I got a 5 ounce steak with vegetables, and my friend got the fish and chips. Everything was fantastic. I thought the fish needed a hint of salt, but it was so flaky and delicious. The guac and chips was an after thought and came to us with our last round of drinks. It had a nice little kick to it. Drink wise, I give two thumbs up to the pineapple cider, the gin & ginger, and the Brazilian lemonade. Dear gods, was it all good. Nice way to end our day wandering around Seattle. I ordered the margarita pizza to split with my mom and it came out with the rest of my family's food, after we both ate a piece we decided after the hard cheese and cold pizza sauce that we needed to send it back because it was too cold for us to enjoy. We waited about 15 minutes for the new pizza which was much more enjoyable and delicious. When our waitress brought our check we saw that they had taken our pizza off the check for the inconvenience. overall good food despite the occurrence. good aura and waitering. read more

I love this place. I've been a long fan of Yard House as they have many California locations, so I was super excited to hear they had one here in Seattle. They do have a great selection of beer, but I find Tap House to reign supreme in that area. One of my favorite items they have are the Shiitake Garlic Noodles. Their truffle fries are also nothing to sneer at. Their desserts are very tasty as well. We ordered the Kona coffee sundae and it was awesome. I try to order different things when I visit and so far, Yard House has not failed to deliver. The service has been good every time I've visited. Even during peak hours our food and drinks came out very fast. This location isn't as large as their Cali counterparts, but it works given the space they're in. Yard House is my favorite spot for a lunch meeting or when I have a craving for a seared ahi salad. The inside is expansive, sophisticated and sleek with friendly, laid back waitstaff. The menu is amazing. It is huge with both inventive and staple items so everyone in the group can find something they'll like. My absolute favorite is their seared ahi salad. First time I ever was at a Yardhouse, was in San Diego. The beer selection is fantastic and the truffle fries are phenomenal, however I wasn't able to enjoy. This was our first visit to the Seattle Yardhouse and we brought someone who never comes up north. This location has more hostesses blabbing with each other than actually seating customers. They could be helping wipe tables instead of chatting for 10-15 minutes at a time. The only bar seating is at the rail. The rail is very large but if you have more than two, hard to accommodate if it is busy. I brought some people in to experience the great food and awesome beer but while we were waiting for seats at the rail, there were five open booths that the chatty hostesses could have seated the numerous waiting customers in the lobby. I'm sure the food is great at this location but you can't get past the poor seating experience. Plus if you want to be in a bar environment this is not the place to go. Children are able to be sat directly on the other side of an aluminum pole that wraps around the bar area. There should have been seating available in the bar for only 21 and older. Not everyone wants to sit and enjoy drinks with babies or young kids near by. read more

This was a fun bro-y experience that my friends and I wanted to relive after experiencing Yard House in Waikiki. We walked to Yard House from Queen Anne because ain't nobody got time for parking in the Westlake area. We came by and new we all wanted half yards, which we were promptly served. Our server took our first round of half yard orders (my husband did a honey beer, our two friends did cream ales, and I did the Boneyard rpm) and we just chatted around all the sports and tvs and tourists and bros. It was fun, but a tad too loud. After we got our drinks we put in food orders. I ordered the lamb burger, my husband ordered the pepper crusted gorgonzola burger, one of our friends ordered chicken strips (outlier) and our other friend ordered the truffle cheeseburger. The food was really good. Just like our experience in Waikiki, the food was satiating and a pleasant experience. My husband hates pink meats and can only stomach well done meats, many places still leave a little pink it in even when requesting well done, and it sounded like Yard House met the well done expectations. Our server was also jovial and friendly. We wanted another round of half yards, but no one could decide on what to get, so our server brought out samples of 3 white/cream beers for us to try (mainly the other three) and they all made decisions between the three while I opted for a Fremont Pale Ale. It was a solidly good experience and I'm happy we made it to Yard House. It's a solid good urban downtown experience in Seattle. I recommend it to people who are looking for a huge beer selection and don't mind some bros. read more

We actually ate here twice in two days! Day one was a burger and fries, the fries where excellent and the burger was cooked to perfection. Our server was great. We had a party of six and he was nice enough to separate the checks. (We made sure to tip well). Day two and I had the roast beef dip and the salad both really good. The hard thing about writing reviews is sometimes I don't know if the food was great or if I was just hungry. When in doubt, 3 stars. Especially when it's pub-type food. If you're famished and they bring you free bread (and it's good bread) 3.5 stars. This place brought me free bread. And butter. *(Yelp, please get on board with half stars)* I had a Pastrami Benedict Burger, which is a burger with fried egg, pastrami, and bearnaise sauce. It's a very good burger. The Pastrami specifically was underwhelming. But underwhelming pastrami is still pretty great. Especially paired with an egg. I'd order it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The fries were crispy and salted just enough for my taste. But tastes vary... In an earlier review I said this place was too "wide open", but I redact that because I'd just moved back from Manhattan and everything felt that way... But I'll say if you want cozy this is not the place for it. read more

Every dish so far has been oh so flavorful! However this time we got the vampire quesadilla and I have to say, I've never had such crispy quesadillas before. I'm talking crispy like almost burnt. So crispy that I wasn't able to cut my butter knife through...I even asked for a sharper knife and that barely did the job. I swear I was going to a break sweat if I tried harder. For sure not recommending quesadillas at Yard House. If you ever crave them you're better off at Taco Bell. read more

I love this place. I have been here a couple times and love the numerous food and drink options, freakshow cab is delicious. I was there a while back and they were super busy. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar. Our bartender was Deanna and she was very friendly and prompt. I am a needy guest and she managed to get everything I needed on the side, including extra napkins, tarter, pickles and a side of red wine vinegar after someone initially brought me balsamic by mistake. Compared to the neighboring restaurants around there's nothing like the Yard House! As you walk in the door handles say it all! It's the famous yard stick beer! Majority of the taps are available, but depending on the ABV they might not pour that brew! When I travel into downtown Yard House is a go-to! Good food, great selection of beer, and an awesome atmosphere!! It's a little pricey; however, they have great deals during happy hour! Here's a list of my favorites: Best snacks/appetizers- Shiitake garlic noodles, any of their buffalo wings, Korean bbq beef, and spinach artichoke dip. Their ahi tuna selections are okay, however, I've found that they are hit or miss depending on what location you're at. Best entrees- Mac and cheese, fried chicken, penne with chicken, their assortment of pizzas (although not as good as CPK), Hawaiian burger, and grilled pastrami sandwich. My all-time favorite was their turkey pot pie; however I recently discovered that they took it off their menu (which is a real shame because it was AMAZING). Best beers: It all comes down to personal choice... I think they have over 150 beers on tap ( which is amazing in itself)! If you like light beers, try a pilsner or kolsch (they're light but also have good flavor). If you're into a little spice, try their selection of hefs or tripels (the house hef and tripel are actually really decent). If you like dark beer, well, they have a TON!! Try a mild stout or a classic Guinness. If you're an IPA fan, well, you're on your own as I'm not into bitter. All in all, Yard House is a great combination of a trendy restaurant, an upscale pub, and a classy sports bar. Just expect to pay for the convenience of all three at one location! read more

I love this place for a lot of reasons...its close to my job, it's a great after-work-but-waiting-for-my-slow-bus sort of spot, the music is cool, beer selection is awesome and the ambiance is sort of like a sports bar. By no means should this place be considered a restaurant and I my experience is only at the bar. I tend to hang out alone for the most part, but I've been here at least 3 times in one week with a few of my friends. They usually have at least 3 different sports on the many televisions and I don't think there is a bad angle in the house. Two things that stand out about Yardhouse - they have GREAT customer service, the bar staff are always attentive and the food is consistently delicious. I've been to Yardhouse 9 times in the last two months and haven't had a bad experience yet. If you stop by, their Blackened Swordfish Tacos are a must!! I only drink beer every once in a while - my favorite drink on the menu is the Upper Manhattan. The food can be a bit pricey if you're ordering from the ala carte portion of the menu but the appetizers are LARGE and well worth the money. read more

I tend to steer away from large chain establishments but I find myself returning to Yard House again and again. For one, they have a great late night happy hour (most appetizers half off, $1 - 2 off beers). Secondly, the food is pretty good. Lastly, and most importantly, an exhaustive beer selection. A couple other things I like about this place: 1. The tap lines are obviously brand new and are cleaned often. 2. Most beers are available in three sizes, which is great when you want to sip on a high ABV ale but don't want to get too tipsy by drinking a full pint. read more

Even though it is a mega chain, I really like Yard House. So glad it opened in Seattle. So many beers, plenty of cheerful servers, and a cool modern interior. This location also has plenty of new HD tvs. Spoke with the GM about the construction and keg room, very friendly and proud of his location. Very central in DT Seattle, walkable from Pike Market, or DT hotels. Reasonable prices. Friends and I went here after work on Thursday. We were there in time for happy hour so we decided to order everything off the HH menu. We were seated quickly and drink orders were taken and brought out promptly. We decided to go with the artichoke dip, classic sliders and margarita pizza. All had good flavor and great pricing. The only complaint we had was with the "chips" that came with the artichoke dip....not the greatest. Seemed like it was some type of pita chip or tortilla that was deep fried. It was ok. We enjoyed the atmosphere and we will be back. I can honestly say though I prefer the Yard House in Phoenix it had a much more upbeat vibe. read more

For a place with such a large bar, it took a very long time for drinks to arrive, and our server was pretty in-attentive. My friend's Vodka Shrimp pasta was pretty boring, though my chicken asparagus mushroom pasta was good. But it was really very surprisingly slow for a weekend night after 7pm. read more

Yard House is surprisingly versatile. I initially pegged this place as a sports bar, but it is definitely more than that. If you need a place to catch a game downtown, this place has tons of TVs. Or, if you just want to grab a drink, they have a HUGE selection of beers and cocktails, and a nice atmosphere to boot (definitely does not feel like a sports bar, despite the number of TVs with sports on). Lastly, I was surprise to find out that the food is solid! I've tried 5+ appetizers like the boneless wings, queso dip, pizza, spinach cheese dip, etc (good HH/late HH deals!!) and each exceeded my expectations. The friendly staff informed me that they have a scratch kitchen (everything is made from scratch) which I definitely did not expect from a 'sports bar' and semi-chain establishment. If you go to the late happy hour, you need to try the vampire taco. You are likely only able to handle one of these cheesy bacon/chorizo stuffed bad boys, but they are delicious! read more

Waitress was friendly but stuck us in a corner, took our drink order and pretty much forgot about us once the drinks were delivered~ even that took a while to receive. Not attentive at all~ we waited for waitress to take our food order but she didn't check on us at all so we paid for drinks and left. First time going here yesterday and it was a great experience. When my friend and I arrived, there was a long line of people waiting to be seated and the hostess said about a 10 min wait .... the people were actually 2 large groups waiting for group seating so we sat at the bar. It was Happy hour (3-6 Mon-Fri) so we wanted to try a couple of items. The bar tenders are very nice and helpful. Sergei was ours and he was so helpful in helping me pick out a beer. Oh yeah if you like beer this place has so many options and sizes.. I saw this one guy drinking out of a long (Vegas type) cup ... Pretty awesome. Sergei let us take little sips of the very weird named beers they have, one was a salted caramel, a cherry one and a strawberry beer. Now to the food....... Awesome!! The chicken lettuce wraps are so good, the California roll will make you think twice about ordering it anywhere else. It's not small rolls wrapped in rice.... it a large circular item with Tuna, Avocado and Edamame. You could taste the freshness of the food. It's all large enough to share. I saw some people that ordered the nacho's and I wish I knew them because I really wanted to reach over and try one. The prices are reasonable for Happy Hour.. 2 people, 3 food items, 4 beers and a specialty drink ....$60 plus tax. I see there are some compliants about the noise... but I didn't find it unusually loud. People are having conversations, some people are celebrating and Woooing, college basketball was on.... I thought it was normal noise level... I didn't need to scream or repeat myself to anyone. Just kind of a "blah" restaurant. Slow service, noisy atmosphere, sub-par food. I was part of a group of 6. We were seated at a wide booth, but it was extremely difficult to hear each other over the din of the restaurant, including the loud music and the people shouting to each other behind us. We ordered a slew of appetizers: queso, moo shu egg rolls, truffle fries; and a variety of entrees: Margherita pizza, ahi crunchy salad, chicken kale Caesar, Cobb salad, Gardein BBQ chicken salad, and a pastrami deluxe sandwich. Some of the food was okay (pizza, salads) and some was way too greasy (pastrami deluxe, fries, egg rolls). The ahi was kind of flavorless and suspiciously chewy. Service was pleasant but a bit slow; 5 of the 6 entrees came out on time but we waited on the last one for over 5 minutes while the rest of the food started cooling. None of us ordered anything from the bar so I can only speak about our experience in terms of the food, not the drink selection, which looked pretty good as we headed out. read more

The Yard house is one of my all time favorites, with over 150 beers on draft great music and great food & consistent. You can never go wrong with anything on their menu but normally we do appetizers like the short ribs and poke for starters. Not a "wine bar/seafood/steakhouse" as the yelp description states. Very much a sports bar/restaurant. Your usual american bar food but a somewhat more "fancy" atmosphere. 119 (?) beers on draft! Beer flights are a plus. Salted Watermelon margarita = AMAZING!! Our server (Heather?) was great! Friendly, helpful, attentive, funny... great customer service really makes the experience! Thank you! Kale Ceasar was yummy... kale added the extra crunch, and the raisins were actually a nice touch. Wasn't sure what to expect but the sweetness really complimented the dressing. Boneless buffalo wings and truffle fries were great! Nothing extraordinary but pretty delicious.. wings were nicely coated and fries were crispy and not overly seasoned. Dessert sampler - peach/apple cobbler, creme brulee, and chocolate souffle . All decent... preferred the creme brulee. Wish I had ordered the s'mores brownie instead. Next time! Went here with a group of friends on a Friday night. Nothing really special about this place. I ordered the chicken bbq salad ($15). The chicken was actually frozen pieces and questionably very pink. I also ordered a vodka soda and it literally tasted like a diluted soda drink. Not worth the $22 for everything. read more

I was having fun with my family till the end of our meal. I have 2 toddlers 3 and 4 with me. I admit they were having fun and being a little loud. One of the servers came to our table to told me I have to silence my kids. I talked to her with lower voice they are toddlers having fun. I don't appreciate the way she treat me and my family. she was rude. If someone complain about kids being louder give them another table. We are not in a church people.I guess it will take someone to understand about toddlers till they have one.
