I came here with my family for an evening dinner and this place can get quite busy. We had to wait 30 minutes to get seated. The restaurant is dim inside but cozy at the same time. One of my friends and I ate here tonight and I just wanted to come on Yelp and write a good review about our waitress Alexyss. She really went above and beyond and I felt like she needed to be recognized. One of the things she did was bring me a couple samples of different ciders to try when she realized they were out of the one I had ordered which I greatly appreciated. Going back to when she first came to introduce herself she asked if we were celebrating anything; we had told her I had just gotten a new job and we were celebrating that. She eventually had to go on her dinner break while we were dining but to our surprise when we had asked for the check the waiter that was covering for her brought us out a dessert we hadn't ordered. He said it was from Alexyss and she made it a point to tell them to bring it out for us. It was a little dessert and the plate had "Congratulations" written on it. We let our waitress know we were not happy- she said "I can ask if you can move, but I'm not sure because I don't have anything to do with seating" no costumer service, no problem solving skills. My mind set is: I work my ass off all week - getting ready to drop a 200-250$ bill and I can't get a different table in a more than half empty restaurant??? I've only ever been to Yard House in Irvine for appetizers so I was so happy to enjoy a real meal here. On this 90-100 deg F day, we came for a late lunch and due to COVID, all seating was outside. This was so balanced in terms of sauce amount, texture, and flavors. The house made dressing was different than typical Caesar but really good. I added shrimp and it came with 4 or 5 plump perfectly grilled and seasoned and juicy pieces. House blonde: light easy to drink refreshing beer. Good price. Lots of American entrees to choose from. Thank you to our server Morgan! Very efficient, professional and friendly. We were a big group of 16, came there to celebrate mom's milestone birthday. Everything went smoothly from start to end, from yummy appetizers to coffee and desserts and everything in between. Will be back. A nearby popular restaurant chain was our first choice to celebrate mom's birthday, however, they didn't want us to be sitted together. They divided us to sit in 3 separate tables despite the fact that there is availability for 16 of us. The 3 tables were also kinda far from each other. Apparently, they cannot sit us together because the assigned server will be too overwhelmed. We talked to the manager and she cannot do anything and said it is against policy.
