If your dining companions love to talk about themselves or are boring conversationalists, this is the perfect place to take them because it is so loud there you won't be able to hear them. Seriously. It is that noisy. We had known about this restaurant's reputation for chicken for years and restaurant week seemed the perfect opportunity to try their food. The chicken tenders were cooked well but were rather bland tasting and the dipping sauces were truly awful. We ended up taking the chicken home for the dog. The french fries had a great crunch but we couldn't eat those because they were drowning in salt. The Key Lime Bar was tiny. Two bites and it was gone but it tasted heavenly and we would order that again. Unless your seating has a padded bench you are going to be disappointed with the seating choices. The restaurant area in the back is so dark you will need to use your phone to light up the menu so you can read it. As a local, I only ever go the Strip when I have people visiting from out of town. Over the last month, I've been to the Strip probably more times than I had been in the last 2 years prior to the dawn of COVID. Thanks to the love that Strip hotels have shown to healthcare workers, we've had the opportunity to do a staycation twice in the last month. Most recently, we spent two nights at the Venetian. I've been eyeing Yardbird's fried chicken since it pretty much opened, but have never mustered up the courage to go to the Strip just to eat fried chicken. Since we were already in the building, we decided to make reservations for lunch on the Monday we checked out. I probably will be going to the Strip much more often now, all because of the fried chicken. It tasted like how I imagine fried chicken made by a Southern grandma would taste (I've never been to the deep South). LLewellyn, thank you so much for sharing your recipe of this mouthwatering fried chicken to the whole world. Bless your heart. I've never had a chicken breast as moist and flavorful as it was here. If the chicken breast I cooked at home tasted that good, I would have 6-pack abs and rock hard biceps by now, because that's all I would eat. Unfortunately, I am no Llewellyn and I really love to eat so I guess the 6-pack abs will have to wait another lifetime. We also had the biscuits and the mac and cheese, which took a backseat to the chicken. We ended up taking those home because we were so pleasantly fulfilled by the chicken that we could not imagine stuffing our faces with anything else. I have been to Yardbird only during the lunch hour but this time I was able to get a table this time at the last minute. This place always has a line out the door and today was no exception. It is a lively environment and the servers are very friendly and efficient. We started by ordering the wine which was challenging. The first 2 bottles were out of stock but the third time was a charm. For our waiting time, they discounted the price of wine (which was nice) We started with the Caesar Salad which was a version the included a side of bread with a sunny side egg in the middle, roasted tomatoes on the side, and topped with roasted peppers and pickled onions. It was delicious ($18). We then ordered the half fried chicken ($33). (at home we never finish a half chicken). We devoured the dish and licked to bones clean - no leftovers! If you want consistency and awesome southern food then Yardbird is the place to go. We go every Saturday to Yardbird (unless out of town) for their tasty Brunch. They just changed the menu this past Saturday and have some great changes and modifications to - as an example their pancakes are smaller and still packed with flavor, but now you can finish all of it. From a service perspective OMG the staff and management are the best in Las Vegas. Sarah, Jerry, Tiffani and Jasmine are the dream team management team and all the staff from hostess stand to the kitchen are top of their class and outstanding. It feels like going home every time we walk through the doors. The ambiance is great too. Great music playing overhead and it does get busy at all hours but it's not crazy in there. But it lots of fun. Check it in it if you haven't tried it yet. You'll enjoy. Dinner and even lunch are great too. The fantastic and best chicken around is served here. Popped into Yardbird after exploring The Strip with some co-workers. The restaurant is dimly lit and really gives you a modern day southern look and feel. Atmosphere 10/10 Luckily without a reservation we were quickly seated on a huge sofa with two mini tables in front of us - not an ideal seating option, but it did the trick. The food here is mind-blowingly delicious. Like I'm obsessed, I would come back every time I'm in Las Vegas. We got here at 11am for brunch. We had a bit of a tough time finding the place since it was our first time coming here. If it is also your first time make sure to add a bit of extra room in to look for it or just know that it is on the bottom floor. Not the floor with the gondola's and shops, the floor with the casino and more in the back of the Venetian, not close to the main strip entrances. Our waiter here was the best! He was very attentive and friendly, having conversations with us despite the fact that it was busy there. He definitely brought the southern hospitality! I watched the staff working together to deliver orders and fill waters. You could tell that this restaurant is well run. We got the fried green tomato BLT to start and the chicken n waffles n watermelon to share as our entree. The chicken n waffle n watermelon is definitely a shareable item, the portion is much bigger than it looks in pictures! The sauces that come with it are very good as well great hot sauce and syrup. I have eaten my fair share of southern food, having fried green tomatoes in Charleston SC and chicken and waffles is a popular brunch item for me if I am in the south. The tomatoes were a bit bland and we were not a big fan of the red tomato based sauce served beneath. Would have been nice to have a remoulade sauce instead. Cornbread was ok. Brussel sprouts were roasted and charred well with a hint of honey to finish off. The attraction of the show is truly the chicken‼it is deliciously moist, juicy, yet seasoned perfectly and crispy. I would definitely visit again for that alone! Also took part in a couple of spirits. Tried the Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade and the Watermelon Sling! Both were good with a buzz afterwards. Reservations are highly recommended! I was able to book in the morning for an 8:30 reservation. Came here on a Saturday evening so it did look busy , they manage to sit you on time as well. Customer service all around was perfection, from the host to the waiters. Friendly and accommodating. Ambiance was nice, it is rather loud so no so much for an intimate type of date but definitely a nice date spot, came here with my son and he enjoyed it. There is semi dim lighting with glass light hanging from the ceilings. The table seats feel a little on the low side but manageable . Food! Was everything ! I appreciated the waiters recommendations. Service was great! I gave the hostess my name, and my server used it in almost every interaction; felt very personal and considerate. The biscuits were flaky and probably the most underrated item. It came with a side of homemade jam that was to die for. Grits were just.. grits. I was so excited to try this place given the reviews. It's been bookmarked for quite some time now, and I finally got around to trying it. I came in with a friend at around 2 PM on a Sunday, I made reservations just an hour before, so getting in was not an issue. I was at the Fashion Show Mall just across the street and decided to leave my car there and walk to the Venetian to give this place a try. - it was about a 10 minute walk. I checked in with the host stand, and we were seated within five minutes, the place was pretty empty, but they had a crowd of people waiting to be seated, which was a little unusual. When you get to the table, there are utensils and plates set already, and there is somebody available immediately to get you some water in the cups that have been sitting there. Now this is never usually a problem, however, the cups smelled terrible. There was a pungent smell to the cups and the utensils, which was such a turnoff. I decided to get a sweet tea assuming the new cup would not have that smell, but it was even worse. They do have a brunch menu up until 3 PM so this is what I ordered from. You would think that this place could do you know wrong when it comes to their food, boy was, I surprised. I ordered the brisket sandwich which was $24 and it came with a side of fries. The sandwich looked fantastic however, it tasted so bad. The meat was not tender, which resulted in me only having half of the sandwich, it was very difficult for me to chew. I will give it up to them though, because the fries were fantastic, that was really the only thing that I enjoyed. Overall I did not enjoy my meal and all of the cups, plates, and silverware had this disgusting smell to it. The service was OK, nothing special. The guy going around giving water to everybody was probably the best, he was such a sweetheart. Once our waitress realized that we were mostly done, she came and asked if we needed a box to take the other half of my sandwich to go, I of course, declined since I did not enjoy my meal. I had to tell her that the meat was not tender at all And incredibly difficult to chew. She was kind enough to take 20% off of our tab, in reality it only deducted about $15. My friend had ordered the burger, and she only ate about half of it too, because she did not enjoy it. The cherry on top is that the bill does come with an 18% gratuity already added, it's kind of awkward when the server hands you your bill and says if you want we can remove this so you can put your own percentage. Be mindful of your tab before handing your card. If you were considering this place during brunch, I definitely would not recommend the brisket sandwich but instead go for the chicken and waffles. Everybody seemed to be ordering that, however, it is a $42 dish which to me is quite expensive for chicken and waffles. Overall, there are definitely better places around the area, so you might be better off, skipping this place. My rating is as follows: - Food: 1/5 - Service: 3/5 - Ambiance: 4.5/5 read more

My best friend took me to brunch here for my 30th birthday and everything was incredible. Firstly, my friend has celiac disease (can't have gluten anywhere near her food) and our server was knowledgeable about the menu as well as the process of cooking her dish. She ordered the gluten free chicken and waffles and they were to die for and completely celiac friendly. Now I ordered the Yardbird Benedict which has crab and Kentucky ham (similar to prosciutto), it was phenomenal. They ended up giving me a little birthday dessert at the end of our meal and it was super cute. It is a little pricey (but hey, it is Vegas!), and absolutely worth every penny. read more

A very interesting experience. Probably the most expensive chicken I've ever eaten. The vibe of the restaurant was a bit different than I'm used to. We sat on couches with small round tables in a dimly lit area... Felt like a weird strip club lol The tables had all of our plates hanging halfway off they were so small. It was different, we had fun. Overall the food was pretty good, but overpriced. My kid got Mac and cheese off the kids menu but for some reason we got charged for the adult version. We told the server and she just said oh sorry but didn't correct the bill. She was pretty good otherwise. No fountain drinks and 4 bucks for a can of soda. The reason I'm giving this 2.5 star experience 4 stars? Gluten Free fried chicken and waffles. One of our party has celiac, and she was super happy to get to eat these things. Came in on Friday night to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was fairly crowded which was typical for a popular restaurant like theirs. Our waiter was friendly but you can tell he was short with us because he was busy. Idk if i was thirsty or not but the water they had was good! Lol i ended up getting the blackened salmon and my husband ordered the chicken n waffles. The blackened salmon meal was AMAZING! I really wish they could've added more of that green sauce because it was delicious! My husbands dish was great but I've definitely had better seasoned chicken. That's just my personal opinion. He enjoyed it so that's all that matters. Portions were good. We left satisfied. I feel like the star of our meal was my blackened salmon dish. I would get it again. Busy place in the casino! We made a reservation online & you have to have your whole party there. The reservation was close to closing time but the restaurant was packed. Our server was personable, friendly & actually gave us recommendations & made small talk with us when he came over to the table. It did take him a bit to come to the table but it was super busy & it looked like all staff was busy. The other staff made sure to help each other out which was great to see. I ordered the fried chicken & then a side of macaroni & cheese. Portions are huge & the sides are also big enough to share. Chicken was crispy & juice.
