I'm just updating my previous review with a breakfast portion. We came in before our flight back home to have breakfast. Wow! It was absolutely delicious. We both got the Classic American Breakfast which each consisted of two eggs, crispy bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, hashbrowns, and toast. Let's start with the eggs. The most perfectly cooked over-easy eggs I have ever witnessed. They could have been on display at The Louvre. The bacon was a masterpiece as well. Crispy without being overcooked and perfectly flat and thick. The highlight of the whole breakfast however was the hashbrown. Perfectly browned and crispy on the outside, even the edges were perfect, with a soft fluffy middle. Best hashbrowns I've ever had. The entire portion could have been split between us, although between us we didn't leave much left behind. Overall: A fantastic breakfast experience. I had been here years ago on a previous stay and was really hoping it would hold up, and honestly, it exceeded expectations this time around. We went for weekend brunch around 8:00 AM (Saturday/Sunday brunch), and the menu is the perfect size. Not overwhelming, but packed with incredible options! Sweet, savory, breakfast-style, and more lunch-leaning dishes. Basically: decision paralysis in the best way. Because we couldn't narrow it down (no regrets), we ordered: * Yardbird Hashbrowns (crispy, golden perfection) * Iceberg Wedge salad * Bayou Benedict * Skillet Cornbread (warm, buttery, and dangerous) * Jalapeño bacon jam deviled eggs (absolute show-stealer do not skip these) * Iced coffee and hot coffee Every single dish was outstanding. The flavors are bold, comforting, and elevated without being pretentious. Everything tasted fresh, intentional, and very much farm-to-table Southern cuisine done right. We spent about $160 including tip, which may sound high at first glance... but for the amount of food we ordered, it honestly could have fed four people. For Las Vegas brunch pricing, especially at the Venetian, it felt more than fair. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is beautiful. Yardbird has that upscale farmhouse / Southern chic vibe. When we arrived, there were plenty of open tables. By the time we left about an hour later? Completely packed, with a line out the door waiting to be seated. That alone tells you everything you need to know. If you're looking for one of the best brunch spots in Las Vegas, especially near the Strip or inside the Venetian Hotel, Yardbird is a must. While staying at the Palazzo, we had breakfast at Yardbird on the first morning. It was myself, my husband, and our 11-yr old son. I made a reservation, although upon arrival, it wasn't busy yet. 8:30 am might be too early for a Friday morning for Vegas! We were seated promptly and greeted by one of the expos who brought us waters. When our server came around, she was very detailed in going into the specifics of many of the dishes. They also have a kid's menu but my son wasn't given one; I don't know if there is an actual menu but rather the server just verbally recites what is offered. We ordered the following: All American Breakfast, chicken tenders & fries (kid's menu), and I had the steak & eggs. Everything was really good; albeit wholly overpriced. My steak & eggs was $42 and it comes with just that - steak and eggs. I just really wish our server told me that my hash browns would be an add'l $15. The way she casually asked if I would like toast or hash browns with my entree, was misleading. I know I should've asked if there was an up-charge, but one doesn't think that about something standard as toast or potatoes that most breakfast entrees come with! My husband's two-egg, bacon/sausage breakfast came with hash browns and his entree was $32. Anyway, the expensive hash browns were the most interesting part of my meal; they are almost like a potato cake. Overall, the service and food were pretty good. My son really enjoyed his chicken tenders and the setting was comfortable and wasn't too loud (yet) while we dined. Can't be good for my cholesterol nor my waistline but it is ever so tasty! I'll sing the praises of their shrimp and grits all night long. Creamy, delicious, and that sausage! makes the whole thing divine. While not a huge pepper fan, the texture off-puts me, it was easy enough to ignore. Everything was cooked to perfection. This was one of the worst meals I've ever had. The food was mid for the price. But what really killed it was the fact they over served a group of jerks, refused to throw them out when they got loud, and then they proceeded vomiting everywhere and instead of kicking them out at that point they served them another drink for the road. Shrimp & grits was 10/10 (my meal) my hubby ordered the ribs and they were just 'ok' - it seemed like it was one of those situations where they tried to do too much to them...they seemed to have some sort of breading, fried, and then smoked so they had a strange texture and came out kinda tough. Hubby ate them, didn't flag to the server and moved on w his day as otherwise all was great. That said, as a foodie - I felt the feedback was noteworthy both for the business and for others checking out the menu and trying to narrow down your choices on the menu.
