My husband and I first went on April 14, 2019 to take a friend out for her birthday. Absolutely loved it. The weather though a bit breezy was great for sitting outside. The meal was phenomenal. We had baba ganoush and another hot appetizer. We did two platters, I recall the mixed grill which if your first time is a fabulous introduction and another chicken dish which we all shared. A beautiful green salad along with the meal. Awesome and leftovers to bring home. Don't forget their fabulous lime slushy or just lime-ade topped with fresh mint! Oh yes the deserts are great too. The food: awesome! For apps we took the server's suggestion and tried the mixed app which comes with hummus, babaganoush and muhammara. So delicious! Best of all three I've ever had and the portion was very generous. For dinner we shared the mixed grill which comes with assorted meats....again...so good and flavorful. It came with what appeared to be grilled pita bread but upon having a taste, it was pleasantly stuffed with a spicy spread of goodness with onions. The hookah: we had the special that night which was coconut blue mist mint. It was really good..no complaints. A hookah person was attentive and refilled the coal when necessary. The best part-they give you a new hose with every hookah! I can def appreciate that. The ambiance: truly the only reason i didnt give it the extra star. We went on a Saturday night and it was a rainy day/evening so the outside was not open. The inside seems like someones living/dining room and that night it was very light. One of the best! I've been to most Middle Eastern eateries in Patterson and Clifton areas, but this is truly a gem! The ambience is tasteful and relaxing. Service attentive and fast, which is a big plus. But above all the food is superb. We had tongue, the best I've ever tried and humus also really good for appetizers. The mixed grill platter was beautifully served and melted in our mouths. Topped with fresh minted tea and amazing hookah! Oh also the place has an ample parking. Just had dinner here. Food is alright but I am giving this place 1 star for the fact of hidden charges. They place water bottles on the table which they charge 2 bucks for. Then they have another 5 dollar fee per person for music. They might as well charge for air at that point. Either way much better places then this place. I'd avoid at all costs. read more

It is definitely a very classy restaurant to smoke hookah at. I love the atmosphere, decor, and vibes; it is one of the many reasons why I keep coming back! I've been to many hookah spots but I've never continued going to the same place until I started coming to Yasmeen. I come here so often and I recommend it to all my friends and family. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The hookah is always on point. (Their special - the coconut bluemist mint, is amazing). I recommend this flavor to anyone who's never tried hookah before or those who don't know which flavor to go safe with. This flavor is very smooth and doesn't die out. There have been times where I've been here for about four hours and the flavor would still be on POINT. Love it. Also, their food is delicious, you can never go wrong with the hummus & mint lemonade. And the dessert is always so tasty as well. I've never had "Osmalia" until coming here and, I honestly fell in love with it. I think the rose water and pistachios give it a distinct flavor which makes it super delicious. Must try! Another great perk about coming to this restaurant is the fact that they have a parking lot! Not many hookah spots have parking lots in this area, and I think this does make a huge difference. (But regardless, id still come here even if they didn't have a parking lot). Omg omg what a great place for authentic lebanese food. So damn good I can eat here everyday and not be bored of the food. We ordered so much stuff that I don't know where to start. So tonight myself and four friends tried for the first time Yasmeen restaurant in Clifton New Jersey. Well being from the Middle East, my best friend from Lebanon, and our friends from France, we found this restaurant was superb! The menu was eclectic,offering Italian items, however we ate a purely delicious middle eastern menu. We started with a mezza the consisted of every appetizer on the menu to include salads, some Kebbe, babaganoush and hummus. It would not be complete without falafel. It was just outstanding. Each dish was well prepared, spiced perfectly, and just a delight. The service was super, consistent and friendly b We were so full from this delicious mezza that we could only order one main plate which consisted of a choice of each of their selected grilled meats. It was outstanding cooked to perfection. With no room for sweets we still managed to try three of their desserts each one more delicious than the other. I do not know if they were under staffed or simply didn't care about me and my friends table it took them forever to get our drink orders. And when they did we were the last to receive them. We reserved a large table only for them to take half of it away because they said they needed it for a large party that was smaller than our owns that ended up living because they took forever to get their orders as well. Our food was cold and when we stated it they didn't want to take it back. They never cleared our table afterwards we had to hound them in order to do so. Than when we finally got the bill they have a gratuity added to the bill giving themselves 20% of the bill. I went to this restaurant yesterday night. Although everything else was ok, my only problem was the service and the fact that they took our hookah away because the health inspector was coming. I hate the fact that they already include tip in the bill, leaving their waiters to not care about their customers. Food was okay as well..the typical Mediterranean food...nothing too die for. I like that it's BYOB. But again, our hookah was taken away (along with everybody's) because the health instructor came and they had the nerve to charge us for it even though we only smoked it for 10 minutes. After they took our hookah, the staff opened the windows to let the smell out, while freezing their customers. Overall, it's a okay place. Wouldn't be returning. read more

I came at other times, but the guys who were the servers were not very attentive. But, I decided to give them another chance the day before yesterday. I loved the food because it is fresh and delicious. I went with my partner, we had many appetizers, salads, and shish tawook. Our new server was a young lady, who was very attentive and made us feel comfortable. I do not remember her name, but it was something about light. I strongly recommend her as a server. Everything was on point and we spent an amazing time in this cozy place. We are kind of picky, but our food was made as we wanted. We even order more food to go. I paid sixty dollars for two dishes and grape leaves. Most Mediterranean places include salad on the side but this location charges you six dollars on top of your dish price if you want to substitute the rice over for the sake of being healthy. My plate cost 26$ and I got four pieces of chicken thighs and a salad with no dressing(which I specifically asked for on the side and did not get). My husband got some chicken cubes with a pathetically small amount of rice. My chicken thighs were burned and I could not even finish my dinner since my salad also did not come with dressing . I also asked for extra hot sauce and did not even get one. Overall this place is overrated I will not be returning . It was a waste of 60$ and I'll be going to al basha from now on . They actually have large size portions and don't charge extra for little things such as a salad. Plus albashas food is out of this world. read more

My bronzini fish was fresh, cooked to perfection with all the correct herbs that took me years back to my home town of Alexandria-Egypt where we used to go to these Seafood restaurants by the sea. I can not say enough of this place .. if I could give it 100 stars I would and if I could stand on the street giving out their business cards all day I would do that too. Had my baby's first birthday pasty there , but before making the final reservation I came to have a diner there 3 times bringing friends and family . I have picky eaters in the family so I wanted to make sure they liked the food . When Making reservation, the manager of the place , Bassil, was sooo accommodating to some of ours food allergies. Helped to set up a great diverse menu that suited everyone's taste. He was very thorough and patient. When the party day came we were allowed to come and decorate a bit earlier then our time. The food was just outstanding. The waiters were very attentive and friendly . Anything we needed we got. Bassil was always smiling and accommodating to any requests that my guests had.
