I don't normally do this... but I just paid over $8 for a cheese matcha (I told them to hold the taro balls, but they still charged me for them) drink that tastes like water. I wish there was a redeeming quality I could mention but there is not. No cheese or matcha flavor, if anything there was some milk flavor but it wasn't very pleasant. I'm going to dump out the whole thing. I didn't personally have the taro drink but nothing great to report either for over $7. Based on the sip that I had, it was grainy with no taro flavor. The coconut pudding part was super soft, almost liquidy with a strong coconut flavor. On the bottom, there was a layer of brown sugar mochi. This reminded me a lot of the 红糖年糕 brown sugar niangao that bakeries sell around chinese new year. Inside the brown sugar mochi, there was yet another texture, something like crystal boba. Overall, it wasn't too sweet or too heavy and it was a great mix of textures and subtle flavors. I was only going to take a bite to try, but I ended up finishing the whole jar.
