Stopped in on our way down to Rodanthe. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! I asked for my sub in a box (with no bread) and quickly realized how difficult it was going to be to cut all that up in my lap in the truck. I asked if they could chop it for me. Without hesitation they said, "absolutely!" Not only was it beautifully presented, it was absolutely amazing! I noticed when I started this review they were only rated three stars. We have eaten there a couple of times while vacationing with the family. The first thing that drew me in was the name as I am a big Beatles fan. The food made me come back the second time. I recommended it to the rest of my wife's extended family that was vacationing there as well. They have subs, pizza, wings. We stuck with the subs, the bread was very good. YellowSubmarine has changed over the years. It used to be a casual order-at-the-counter place but now tables are waited which is a little odd since the soda machine is self-serve. As an avid Diet Coke fan the Pepsi machine was a let down and I couldn't help but notice the lack of the old Ms. Pacman arcade game. They know have food ball. This pizza place was the worst food we ordered the entire week we were visiting the OBX. When placing the order, the girl receptionist had no idea if they delivered to our rental and had to ask her co-worker if they did ... We were only 4 minutes away! My husband is from NY and his pepperoni pizza was less than stellar and my white sauce chicken pizza wasn't very tasty. We order 2 large pizzas- one supreme and the other a bbq chicken pizza and cheese rolls. The supreme was ok, but the bbq chicken pizza was flavorless. I was expecting bbq sauce on the pizza for sauce, but it was dry with a hint of bbq. Very disappointing. Also, the server who took our order for a carry out took forever to come and take the order and when we paid expected a tip. When we didn't add gratuity for her writing an order down she rolled her eyes. Personally, I would eat at Little Caesars over this place.
