Yeong's has the best burgers on the Southern Oregon Coast. Yeong's has a definite divey feel but the food is anything but. You can get huge salmon burgers (nice unbreaded salmon steak), beef burgers, and more. Excellent shakes (the chocolate banana is a favorite) and large portions of either regular fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings. I love the salmon burger with chipotle bbq sauce and sweet potato fries. The guacamole bacon burger is also a local favorite, and way better than anything you'll find at a fast food restaurant. Yeong's has a pretty small parking lot and limited seating; there are both booths and tables, and you order at a counter. A server will bring you your drinks, condiments, and meals if you choose to eat in. Service is usually fast considering the fact that this place is always busy, and everyone is very nice. It is usually packed so I would recommend getting your food to go and enjoying Mingus Park, Shore Acres, or one of the awesome beaches (sunset bay state park is a favorite). This place is awesome. Hubbie has loved this place since for years and finally got me to go. I stared at the menu for a long time...there are so many things to choose from. Kids meals were typical and they come with a drink, fries, and a small ice cream cone at the end all for around $4.00 or so depending on what you pick. All the sandwiches come with fries, but not a drink. I fell in love with my sandwich and could eat it everyday for the next year without getting sick of it! The wait wasn't bad at all, and they were a little busy. But even with all the comotion the staff was friendly and happy. The prices are just a little high. The reviews weren't kidding. The burgers are dang good. We walked into the place and it's filling with people. People ordering, eating, passing through. There were two cooks in the back and one person at the cashier. It was obvious that there were lots of regulars at this place and a good portion of the ones I happen to see that day were elderly. The cashier girl was so sweet when she was talking to the gentleman behind us and then later when there wasn't a line, she joined him at his table to chat. The whole scene was the kind of scene that makes you feel all warm inside. This is the kind of place that makes me want to come back. The food is excellent. I had the salmon burger. There was the option of tartar sauce of the chipotle. Both sounded good. I was torn so I had them both on the side. Both sauces are delicious. I still can't decide. The fries are delicious. The sweetheart ordered the guacamole burger and he finished it all. He really enjoyed his burger too. If you're driving through town, do stop here for a burger. It's worth it. The garbage burger was $8.75 and it was ENORMOUS, cut it into fours and could only eat 2 of those, the fries were cooked perfect, it was a very delicious meal. My husband and I shared some deep fried pickles, you get 5 deep fried pickle spears for $3 I don't recommend getting these, the coating was super thick, its hard to get a bite out of a pickle spear. They should have gotten small slices of pickle and lightly breaded them like hooters, hooters has the best deep fried pickles yum yum. I can give Yeongs 3.5 stars. I do have to admit, it's a HUGE burger. Which is always awesome. I could've rated this a 4-5 star burger when I first started yelping, but since then, i've ran into some Damn fine burgers which knocks this back to a 3/3.5 star rating. Yeongs (Sounds like Youngs) has been around for years. For the price and size you get what you pay for. Which is all you want sometimes. But this is a tasty huge burger. We were on the coast enjoying the weather and the waves. Hunger crept up on us and we decided to go get some burgers. Reading the reviews on this place, we gave it a try. After seeing the five years on a row of best burger awards, we weren't disappointed. The food disappeared too fast for pictures, but that is a testament to how good the food was. It was busy when we came in and the place was packed, but the staff was working hard, and it soon cleared up. The food came quickly and hot and was delicious. It's quite hard to put into words just how good burgers are from Yeong's. It's like I would want heaven to be when I die I guess. Simply amazing every time I go. My normal is the Super Burger w/ Bacon. Super is a double cheeseburger with all the normal toppings plus your choice of Bacon, Ham, or Hot dog added for $9.00 w/ fries! Might seem high, but you get a burger that could last you two days. Their special sauce is awesome, and if you like pickles, then you'll love how to make their burgers. I've also had their Sauce Delight, which is basically a Super w/ Bacon, but then they put BBQ beef brisket on it as well. A very unique experience, and quite good as well. Try it and be amazed.
