Came by this afternoon, for the first time. Very small inside but efficient, friendly service. Extensive menu. Spicy Crunchy Ebi rolĺ - tastes fresh and the accompanying spicy sauce is delicious. Phoenix roll - delicious, flavorful and fresh

2 pieces of Tuna, 2 pieces of Tomago, Sweet potato roll and a Shrimp tempura roll. What a great dinner all made with love by Benz.

The food is always delicious. The service is the greatest you enter as a customer and leave as a friend. This family run restaurant is amazing. The ambiance is like going to your friends house and they cook a meal. You very rarely find establishments like this anymore. Friendly outgoing and delicious

Before Covid, my daughter and I went to rawr almost weekly for mommy-daughter time. Now that she's home from college we decided to go back down memory lane and visit our favorite spots and we were pleasantly surprised to see that Rawr still felt like home. Warm customer service, a very local feel inside, fresh inexpensive sushi, and the same familiar faces. It's good to be back and we will be starting up our routine Rawr sushi mommy-daughter dates again.

Service was great. Amazing value for the amount and quality of food. The salmon nigiri left more to be desired but everything else we had was delicious.

Y'all. Last night's hamachi bowl was out-of-this-world tasty. Had to share this photo of the beautiful hamachi rose made by the chef. RAWR!

We just arrived at our hotel and wanted something light for a late lunch. After a quick Google search for sushi nearby, we came across this spot. A small, simple place where the staff was welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. They helped set the table for us and neatly prepared the place settings. The food was prepared in no time. It was fresh and tasted good, and was reasonably priced.

I will be going back for sushi. I hopped in here randomly because I was craving ramen. It's a no frills, small restaurant that was extremely busy. Despite the volume, service was great. My bowl of ramen was about $10 and it was good. Not amazing but good. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and it was not spicy at all so I added some Siracha. The egg was cooked pretty well and pork was good. I thought the amount of food for the price was pretty fantastic as well Place does not serve alcohol but they have sodas. Will come back

Ordered for lunch. Got the shrimp crunch roll, spicy crunch tuna roll, and the sashimi entree. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back for my sushi cravings.

Eaten up Spicy Miso Ramen & Spicy Crunchy Tuna Rolls! Delicious!

Stopped into this quaint little place a few months ago for the first time and found it is exceptional! Three visits so far and each time the sushi is so fresh! Tried the spicy miso ramen the third visit and it was delicious too! The customer service is top notch and the prices are reasonable. This is a bit of drive of for us however, it is worth it and will continue to make it out here for sushi and ramen. Highly recommend!!! Try it, you won't regret it!!!

I've never heard of this spot before, and you typically will not find me in Springfield. However, a few of us made lunch plans this past Good Friday to take advantage of the $29.99 AYCE weekday lunch pricing. We got three rounds of beef brisket (chadol), one thin & thick pork belly (samgyupsal) each, and half an order of large intestine (daechang). The chadol was a little too fatty than I'd like, but it was high quality and comparable to non-AYCE options like Meokja Meokja. I didn't love the thin samgyupsal as much, but the thick version was so meaty and juicy. The intestines were a fatty treat, and I was good with just a couple bites. We had to ask for ssamjang and sesame oil for sauces, which they were generous with giving. Our server was pretty attentive, but we thought it was weird that he cooked the thin samgyupsal and the beef brisket at the same time. As for sides, we asked for lots of them (sadly our corn cheese never came). The fermented soybean stew was strong, but a bit too salty at the end. The egg bomb was fluffy and delicious. They also have ramen (aka shin ramen) which we enjoyed by adding several pieces of chadol and letting it soak in there to get that deep meaty flavor. I enjoyed the kimchi throughout the meal, which was the perfect "not quite fresh, but still crunchy" texture. Overall, we ate to our heart's content. I definitely would be back for more chadol, thick samgypsal, and a bit of daechang in the future. The $30 pricing is a steal for the amount of food we got, but I'd hesitate to pay for the $40 dinner price. I don't eat enough at AYCE spots to get my money's worth, so I would rather spend that $40 at a non-AYCE spot for higher quality cuts like galbi and rib tips.

Quick friendly service. Clean organized atmosphere. Good lunch specials. Value for the money…read more Recommend

Service was friendly and completely on point. You gotta love a restaurant when the moment you've drained your ice water, your server is immediately there with a refill. Taiko has a huge menu, pretty much catering to anything you might hanker. I noticed that in addition to traditional Japanese fare, there were Chinese and Thai dishes as well. For starters we went with the shumai, miso soup and harumaki. The shumai was very good, though I'm a little less certain about the vinegary dipping sauce that came with the shumai. The miso soup was good and we liked the finely diced tofu in it. Harumaki are crispy spring rolls, and we liked these too. We also ordered an eel roll. It had been broiled and with the sauce on it was very tasty. JP's entrée was the Pork Katsu bento box. The pork katsu was excellent and so were the California rolls that came with the box. The bento box also came with miso soup and a side salad. My entrée was the Beef Udon. Very attractively presented, it had a smoky flavor and was packed with beef along with bits of asparagus and zucchini. It was pretty good. We were pleasantly surprised at the end of our meal to receive complementary scoops of a delicious vanilla ice cream. Considering the excellent service, big menu and good food, I'm going with five stars.

I grabbed my order from the worker as they walked out with it and proceeded to drive 5 minutes home. I get home and I'm excited to eat my KFC and bulgogi combo with mandoo when I take my first bite, and the KFC is cold and hard. Imagine my surprise at it being cold and hard after just leaving the restaurant. Unsure if maybe the soda in the bag had anything to do with it but my families meals were also in said bag and were warmed through. Well whatever I'm hungry and don't want to go to the microwave so I mix my food up and hope the heat from there will bring everything up to room temperature, in the mean time I'm ready to dig in to my dumplings. They're alright, again kind of cold but basically the same quality as if you got the ajimoto frozen dumplings from Costco. Back to the bowl now, much to my chagrin the rest of the KFC is either 90% batter, dry as hell, or cold. It's not as bad as my poor husband though, he got the pork cutlet which was 90% batter, 5% sauce, and 5% pork. It's almost comedic how small the slice of meat was in comparison to everything else, either way would avoid. Now I hear what you're saying, you got a combo bowl what about the bulgogi and to that I say it was aight. It was cooked well enough but the slices were super tiny and just not that flavorful. I recognize the flavor is probably supposed to come from the sauces you choose( I got gochujang and garlic mayo) but it was just bland. I can honestly say never have I appreciated vegetables and rice as much as I did in this dish, they were truly the saving grace this dish needed. The kimchi is trash and I can not say this enough AVOID IT (absolutely no flavor) and the sweet potato noodles were a bit goopy, but the carrots, spinach, cucumber and rice went hard. I think if I had gotten just the vegetable bowl I'd be a lot happier. I will say the size of the bowls are pretty good and I was definitely full afterwards but it wasn't a happy full it was a well that was edible food full. Maybe this was a bad day, but it seemed like all of the bowls from our orders were just disappointing. If I'm paying $14+ a bowl I really don't want disappointing. There is potential here but I think it'll be a while before I'm ready to give it another shot.
