Great service and food! All four of us tried different dishes and found them to be delicious. Will be back again on our next trip to Vegas!

Hands down best sushi in town.. And people think I'm just saying that because I've worked down the street so long, but it is truly the first sushi spot I recommend to everyone local or those who visit. You are bound to fall in love with multiple menu items and will definitely come back with friends because you will want everyone to have the experience that you did when that first bite hit your tongue. For starters I have quite a few recommendations. This is why coming with company is such a good idea, so you get the chance to try everything and still have room for the main course! Can't go wrong with the spicy tuna crispy rice, always a fan favorite. The beef gyoza is a classic, they used to have mushroom gyoza which was outstanding.. so sad they don't have it anymore, I vote for a comeback! Crispy Brussel Sprouts are chefs kiss.. very light and crispy with a delicious reduction and crispy almonds.. done so well. Rock Shrimp Tempura.... Order 3 for the table, thank me later! You'll have dreams about this shrimp, let me tell you... Moving on to Sushi rolls... Roulette roll is a fun one for those who like spicy.. 1 roll is super spicy and the rest are more mild. Nothing too crazy, but a unique experience. Shrimp Tempura & Spider Rolls are super fresh, simple & tasty.. Much more elevated than a typical sushi spot. The Safin roll is my personal favorite! Seared ribeye on top... so so good.. Definitely a different roll that other places don't have. Looking for Noodles or Rice to share? You can't go wrong with any of them.. The garlic fried rice and stone fried rice are both 10/10.. if you leave them in the bowls long enough the rice gets crispy on the bottom and then everyone will fight over the crispy rice.. friendly little battle we have as a family. ;) The Yakisoba noodles are always a fav.. I personally preferred them over the rice, I just can't get enough! Add a side of spicy garlic edamame and you'll be all set.. This review is for the one that is NOT at the Durango casino. I guess there is a mix up because the location outside of Durango does not serve sushi. First of all. Food is amazing. Some of the best pad Thai I had in awhile. Tom yum soup was great as well. Service was excellent. I went here with a party of 12 and a baby and they were able to accommodate easily. I never had to ask for a refill, the waitress was always there to help with anything we needed. Bathrooms were clean. Parking is okay if you know where to go. Overall my experience was 10/10 and will be coming back here. read more

They stopped doing sushi but they do Thai fusion now which was delicious. Their location inside Durango Station still does sushi though. But I will say, their Thai food was delicious. Flavor and spice levels were perfect. I would definitely go back. read more

We came here for happy hour however they changed the times for it about a month ago. It is now until 5pm not 6pm anymore. The staff was super friendly and still let us order from it even it was minutes after 5pm. everything came out super fast because the kitchen staff was great. what i didn't know is that the majority was going to be super spicy. i really have to learn to ask ahead. the oysters were outstanding and the best part! the crispy tuna was amazing!! the gyoza was delicious too!! what was probably really good too, was the chef omakase roll and the hand rolls however both were far too spicy for me. they have limited desserts. we had a yummy strawberry mochi. the drinks were really good!! i loved the grapefruit flavor! overall great experience. amazing service from everyone working here!!! be prepared to jump in the shower when you come home: the ventilation here is not good and you will smell like food. read more

I decided to make a reservation for 9pm and seating was fairly quick. Our waitress was attentive for the most part. When it came to ordering drinks, I ordered a drink called "dragons breath", it honestly tasted like sharpie markers with Mountain Dew, I'm not even kidding. It was so strong!! Yu-or-mi is a great upscale sushi joint in the arts district. I would recommend putting in a reservation as it's quite small inside. Once seated, we scanned the QR code and checked out the happy hour menu. We ordered the crispy rice (tuna, yellow tail, and the salmon), the gyoza, the edamame, the crispy Brussels sprouts, and the popai roll. The food came out slowly and a little randomly, hence my 4/5 stars. My two friends got all of their food and had eaten before I got either of my rolls. We waited maybe 5 mins after asking someone if they could check on them. They did come out however one had to be remade since it wasn't wrapped in soy paper. They ended up comping that roll which was super sweet. All in all if you are wanting a quick meal, this is not it. If you want a peaceful sit down, have a chat with some friends, with some good sushi, then this is your place! read more

I've been here several times in the last year and a half. When they first opened it was pretty good but now not so much. I remember when they were less expensive and served bigger portions but now they are more expensive and serve smaller pieces of sushi rolls and such. I would understand spending big bucks if they actually delivered spectacular sushi with decent portions but they don't. Keep in mind that this is not a 5 star place-- not even close And if this is something that is in fact happening they have lost my business. When restaurants start to cut corners and serve less food at a higher price or just serve less food for the same price I'm no longer interested in going. My visit today left me extremely disappointed to say the least and for several reasons. First, there is no happy hour on Sundays which makes lunch prices unbelievably expensive. And in all honesty, what I paid today for lunch was ludicrous and I'm not doing it again. I had the 4 pc of gyoza that was very poorly cooked and 4 pieces were $11. I also had one of their old fashioned cocktails and it was $25. I must've looked at the wrong item because I was under the impression it was around $18. Again, I don't mind paying big bucks to dine out but the restaurant has to deliver on many front. The food is number one, then the service and then charge the right amount based on food quality and quantity. This place does not meet any of those requirements so it's an absolute no for me at the moment. I know several little sushi places around Vegas that have higher quality of food at more reasonable prices. Sadly it's a 2 thumbs down for Yu-Or-Mi! read more

We love this sushi restaurant in the Arts District. It's normal for us to come for Happy Hour and then walk first Friday. There's always a special cocktail on HH. And the selection of food is fantastic. We have tried a few other items. The veggie tempura is amazing. You get so much. The nigiri marawaise is a wonderful selection of fishes to sample. I love the yellowtail ceviche or yellowtail serano. Both are excellent. This is a staple in our restaurants to visit. read more

I strongly dislike coming home to visit and wasting a meal on something thats just "meh." That's how I felt about our dinner at Yu-Or-Mi. The service was great and by 7:00 the place was full so maybe I'm just the odd man out, but nothing really wow'ed me. Im a strong believer that good sushi doesn't need soy sauce. But all of the rolls desperately needed it and didn't have any individual flavors that really came through. For the price, you sort of expect Nobu quality and flavor to come through in your meal, but this didn't hit the mark IMO. Can't say I'll be back, but I wouldn't turn it down if I was using a company credit card either. read more

From Sub-Chef Alejandro greeting you when you first walk in, to the fast and detailed service of the staff; all of these experiences were just the tip of the iceberg! This is the BEST Thai restaurant I've ever been to! The waitress was so sweet and happy. Chicken satay was prepared in an interesting way that elevated the traditional dish. Was so stoked to try the truffle crab fried rice ($23) but there was absolutely no truffle flavor in there, there was crab (small portion) which is understandable because crab is expensive but when we informed the waiter just said she would notify the chef but didn't offer any truffle oil on the side or anything. The chicken karaage portion was tiny but the soft shell crab roll was delicious and tasted fresh! Prices are high here and I'm not sure I would be back. We live downtown and have been wanting to try this place for a while. We took a look at VegansBaby's website and saw that she recommended this place for vegans! We were able to walk in at 5pm and get a table. The place is small but airy. Apparently there is a back patio although we did not see it. The menu was QR code which I honestly love. We stuck to the happy hour menu but after seeing there's Yelp posts.... We will be back for more of this cocktail list!!!! We had bartenders choice on the happy hour menu which was their take on an aperol spritz. Very delicious and $8 I believe. We also had 2 carafes of hot sake. Not bad for $5 each. They were out of the mushroom app on the happy hour menu .... I guess yet another reason to come back :) I tried the miso soup which came with you own miso to add. I've never seen that before! It was good. We had the braised tofu (I think it was called) and a veggie plate. The plate was just ok but my husband enjoyed it. The tofu.... BOMB. I would have liked to order one just for myself honestly. The vegan friendly rolls we tried were all good. I wouldn't return again JUST for those though. It will be for the appetizer they were out of, the tofu, and the cocktails... and maybe to try eating outside since the weather is breaking The service was good! Can you say Gluten-Free, Yes. This sushi restaurant can accommodate pretty much every single dish with a gluten-free option or alternative I am beyond, hands up happy!! They have a an amazing Japanese whiskey list and cocktails to go with it. The food was amazingly fresh and apparently it looked like it was made by an artist. We went what seems forever ago when they were a sushi restaurant and we are so glad we got so see their new menu. The papaya salad was delicious and the truffle crab fried rice was awesome. We tried the beef curry and it was great too. My one note would be the wings appetizer was too good to be that small. I think it was around $12 and there were only 4 wings which was a bummer. This cute sushi spot is located in the Arts District right off of Main st. Came in Saturday night without a reservation (they only take reservations for parties of 6+) prior to 7pm. Place was empty. Shortly after 7pm, that all changed. The tables were filled from that point on. The overflow went to the patio. We were immediately greeted and sat. The dining room is small, but seats plenty. Options to sit at the sushi bar is available too. The comfy velvet seats were a joy to sit in from most traditional seating. QR code menu so bring your phone. Note: This is not AYCE sushi spot. It's a straight up delicious sushi spot! We started with some sake and beer. Lots of choices for each, including whiskey! Some sake even comes in a juice box! Miso soup was next to follow. They provide you with miso paste to add to your soup. Add as much or as little as you like. Loved this experience. Who doesn't like playing with their food? The soup came with baby mushrooms, which was a nice change of pace from traditional miso soup. The menu is easy to follow with descriptions of everything. That is except for the traditional sushi rolls. Break out your phone if you don't know what's in a Dragon, Rainbow, blah blah roll. We did. The sushi was amazing! Hands down some of the best sushi we've had in Vegas, including from establishments on the strip. We had the opportunity to see everyone else's orders too. We wanted to sample everyone's order. The only negative I found was the removal of plates. We had both finished our miso soup, but the server only took one of the two. Later the other was taken. This happened with a few other plates we had too. I found that odd. However it wasn't a deal breaker for us to make a return visit. This was my first time trying out this place, and I am quite shocked with the overall rating of this place versus my personal experience. We made reservations and were seated right away when our group got there. After ordering our food, we waited a very long time for the food to come out and it was cold. I looked around and noticed that other tables were also waiting a while for their food. There was no acknowledgment from the waiters or any heads up that the food would take a while to come out. I ordered the Surf-and-Turf ramen and was disappointed with the order. The broth was cold, and the flavor resembled that of powered ramen broth. The shrimp was small and advertised as tempura, but the batter was not the traditional one. The shrimp was coated in a batter similar to mozzarella sticks. The steak was cut into thick pieces and was very dry, not tender, and overall hard to eat. The ramen was very overpriced compared to what I ordered, and it came in a very small bowl. While I did enjoy the texture of the noodles, I don't think anything else about the ramen was worth it. If I were to go back to this place again, I would not go hungry because of the long wait, and I would not order the ramen. read more

Yu-Or-Mi was alright but we were left missing our local sushi place to be honest. The drinks were good - I had the matcha gin fizz, which was a nicely balanced drink, with plenty of earthy matcha to counteract the sweetness. I could come back for happy hour and drinks, but probably not dinner. We sat at the bar as walk-ins so we were able to get seated right away and ordered. We ordered the spicy tuna crispy rice, which was pretty small and a little overdone one on side (almost burnt). We also got the Kani Su roll, which didn't have any rice - just crab wrapped in cucumber. It was good but we weren't expecting it. We also got the Yu Or Mi roll which was pretty good with the shiso leaf, and an order of scallop nigiri. The tobiko on the scallop threw me off since it smelled like it had been pickled with the red daikon liquid... it just didn't quite work with the raw scallop for me. It made me think it was off until I realized it was the tobiko. They also did a weird presentation with the miso soup, where the soup just came as dashi broth with a ball of miso on the side that you had to mix in yourself... weird and inconvenient. Overall, our meal was okay but not the amazing levels we've come to expect from a place like Vegas. read more

Coming in here tonight was a spur of the moment- we just happened to be walking by, so there weren't any high expectations. When we arrived, there were only two other guests in a restaurant/bar that seats maybe 40. Given the size of the restaurant, there seemed to be just one server. Yu-Or-Mi is fairly small but seems to be the only sushi spot in the downtown arts district, so as we saw over the course of our time there, this place filled up quickly. Unfortunately because of the one server and the several tables she was covering, the service seemed to lack very much. Our first order came out promptly, but as more guests came in each order we placed after that seemed to be forgotten and we had to ask if it was still coming. Even as we were trying to leave and flag down our server, she was always carrying plates or taking order before getting to us. I hate that subpar service can spoil the quality of food because the best dish was our first dish: Yellowtail Ceviche ($14); not much on the plate but just enough to enjoy different sweet and fiery flavors. We then had our sushi rolls: Yu-Or-Mi Roll ($16) & Plaza Salmon Roll ($16), with the former being plain and simple, and the latter Salmon Roll having the most crunchiest salmon skin like I was eating egg shells- not pleasant. My appetite was redeemed with Chicken Karaage ($12) but the Mini Udon ($10) fell short but good enough for just the broth to keep us warm. I'd highly recommend this place get a second server. I was seated in a spot where I could see all the other guests, and several times it seemed like everyone was waiting all together. No knock to the server though, she was very sweet and patient, but maybe just for evenings or weekends she could use some help. read more

Ordered 3 rolls Brussels Sake Happened to get Johnny, a managing partner, as our server so we were really informed, great recs, which enhanced our overall experience. Caterpillar Roll had really fresh eel. I mean you could taste it with each bite. Regret that I used soy sauce at first lol. Blue Crab Roll. The best thing was they used very little mayo and you could taste the crab. Noticed I didn't say Krab. Roulette Roll. Besides the fact it was an excellent combination of fish, one piece of the cut roll has a secret spicy ingredient. Wifey got it lol. A new friend of mine suggested this place. Being from out of town, it was really appreciated. Top service! Everyone was very nice. I would definitely bring my wife here for date night, the perfect setting. The Sushi was perfect. The Chefs definitely took pride in their work. The most tender Nigiri Toro, and the RUNNIN' BEHIND ROLL was excellent with the best flavor and right amount of spicy heat, yum! We also sampled the tuna and PotStickers, all of it fresh, good and tender. This makes for a very attractive and fun vibe. There's a sushi bar as well as tables to accommodate the guests. Our server was fantastic. She was helpful with suggestions for the menu and was checking on our table frequently with a smile. Japanese Mule: Their signature cocktail was tasty and got our meal off to a great start. Rock Shrimp Tempura: A great appetizer as the tempura was the perfect crispy for the shrimp. Truffle Tako: This was amazing. This squid and truffle oil dish was an absolute hit for us. This will be a must order again on the next visit. Spicy Tuna Roll: An old school classic that is done well here. The tuna was fresh and the spiciness was enough for flavor and heat without being overwhelming. Safin Roll: This was the hit for the evening: Rock shrimp tempura (which we loved) + seared ribeye was such a delish and creative pairing. This roll is a must on your first visit here. Yu-Or-Mi Sushi bar just cracked my top 5 list of non-ayce sushi joints. While exploring their menu, I saw that small plates section is extensive and they also have ramen.
