Have been trying to come here for a while after hearing so much about their froyo on TikTok and I'm happy to say this was actually worth the hype. The cashier explained that it was a Chinese style tart base and after further research I believe it's Beijing yogurt based. We opted for the blueberry and lemon topping for an additional $2.50 which was pretty pricey in my opinion especially considering I thought it would come with fresh blueberries. The lemon syrup was surprisingly good and tasted homemade. My boyfriend really enjoyed the tart base as it tasted very natural and homemade. I wonder if the tart is organic. The restaurant was huge and has ample seating inside. They also host Mahjong Saturdays at this location!

Clean and healthy Asian food if you're looking for a quick dinner in the East Cut area. The food is fresh and very clean -- nothing heavy like typical Asian food. Most dishes are bowls with rice (and I think quinoa?) as the base with various fresh vegetables sides. Personally I ordered the Yuja Teriyaki with Steak. To be honest, it tasted nothing like teriyaki. It felt more like a miso citrus dish. Anyway, still tasty! The space is gigantic so you can find plenty of seating for a large group. Service is friendly and fast casual. Recommend you check this place out if you're looking for a no frills, chill dinner.

"This is the healthiest thing I've eaten all week." - my friend Honestly, same girl. This is THE place to get healthy pan Asian fusion bowls in the style of Kitava. I ordered the Thai basil bowl and substituted tofu for pork. There was nothing at all greasy or heavy about my bowl. I felt light after finishing it, which I think is the objective here. Not sure all the ingredients really paired well together though. For example, the sweet potato salad was a bit odd and out of place but contributed extra carbs to the bowl. Even with the sauce, the bowl lacked much flavor. Conclusively, this is not the spot I'd go for authentic, flavor-packed Asian food, but it a a great spot for a light, healthy lunch or dinner. Eta: I got severe indigestion and stomach cramps shortly after eating here so unfortunately don't think this is the spot for me.

Casual Asian dishes with lots of seating / space! I got the Thai basil pork which was pretty good - I liked the sweet potato salad! My favorite was the froyo - so good and tart, especially good mixed with the blueberry topping

The SF techbro scene, with its undying fervor for slop bowls, welcomed newcomer, Yuja, this year. Ever since, I've heard coworkers sing their praises for this Asian fusion establishment for a few months now, so I decided to make the trip. For a Friday night, the place was fairly empty, making ordering quick and efficient. I opted for the chicken teriyaki bowl. Simply sublime. The chickens charred to perfection and every morsel was as moist and tender as the last, no easy feat. The accompanying teriyaki sauce was a creamy variety and balanced the chickens heartier, meatier chunks with a nutty, indulgent profile. Honestly, I have no gripes about any part of this bowl, Delicious and decently priced, as it was. The froyo, something that Infatuation SF raved about, was good in flavor what with the tangy lemon curd and blueberry sauce layered throughout, but the texture was a touch too icy. Probably wouldn't order this again. I do hope Yuja's a mainstay. It's hard to find such incredible food deep in FiDi.

I loved loved loved everything I ate here. I was so excited to try it because I follow Jackie on instagram and enjoy making her recipes! I ordered the shaking beef with chicken instead. My bowl was packed with flavor and my chicken was so juicy and perfectly charred. I appreciated the ample serving of chicken as well. My highlight was knowing that the menu works with in season veggies so I get maximum nutrition. That froyo is worth ALLLLL the hype and then some. It's tangy and the toppings brought it all together. I will be coming back every time I visit the Bay.

Yuja recently opened up right next to my apartment, and I can't stop myself from visiting time and time again. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken bowl. It's a really great sesame flavor profile with amazing acidity from the coleslaw. Adding in the spicy chili oil is a must as well. Food comes out fast, and vibes are great inside. Lots of windows for a bright lunch option.

Thai Basil Pork rice dish - pretty flavorful! Really like the sauce and the rice

It's a nice large space with good natural lighting and clean. Order and pickup at the counter. I got my food pretty fast. I thought the price was reasonable (~$18 for an entree), serving size was big, and the dish was well executed. I got the basil pork bowl and the froyo with extra blueberry and honey topping. The ground pork was pretty tasty and not very greasy. The sauce on the side added some good flavor. The froyo was pretty good too. The extra blueberry and honey topping did add a lot of sweetness but it wasn't overpowering. I think this is great spot for a tasty, quick lunch!

Creative and healthy take on Asian fusion bowls! Had the Miso Pom (vegetarian) bowl and was amazed about the depth of flavors. The sweet potato mash was bright and citrusy, I kept finding myself grabbing more. The kale was perfectly massaged with extra dressing on the side. The Chinese tart yogurt reminds me of my childhood, except with a modern and fun take of toppings such as lemon curd, blueberry, and a chocolate cherry almond. The blueberry/lemon was a fan favorite amongst my group! Jackie the owner has put a lot of attention and work into the space. It is thoughtfully curated, bridging a wide variety of Asian cultures into the ambiance as well as the food. She is also really sweet and welcoming. I'm exciting to come back and try more items!

This is just an update to say that Yuja is definitely worth crosstown travel. The Miso Pom Bowl is fantastic, one of my favorite dishes. I highly recommend getting an extra helping of the sauce, as every ingredient deserves to be coated in it. I'm sure other menu items are great but right now I'm too addicted to this one to give others a shot. The service is very friendly and makes for a warm and welcoming environment. Highly recommend.

Welcome addition to the SOMA neighborhood! And very glad it's also open on weekends when so many other neighborhood spots are only open Mon-Fri. Hearty Asian bowls in a very spacious restaurant - lots of light, open seating, and restrooms. We ordered the Thai Basil pork and Pear Coconut Curry. Both were very good and filling with fresh ingredients and tender proteins. The flavors are expected, if not out of this world. Will definitely be back!

Such a cute place! I went with my friend and even met the owner here - she's super nice! Good: - Food was delicious - loved the thai basil pork and it was very healthy and hearty - great flavor and very tasty - I ate it super fast - Chinese froyo was so good! I felt like the price was much better than Souvla too - The place is beautiful and great for coworking, very quiet and calm inside and modern. - Food comes out very quickly Bad: - The area it's in is more sketchy and empty Overall this was such a cute find and I'll be back!

He is African-American with dreads. After collecting the bag from the shelf like he usually does, he was immediately asked to show confirmation of the order on his phone.... The problem? I watched multiple other couriers walk in, pick up orders, and leave without being asked to show any proof. I double parked my car as I saw the interaction with the cashier and my boyfriend from outside. Funny enough, when I went to pick up the bag from the shelves, I was NOT asked to show confirmation but I made it a point to show the employee that I had the confirmation on my phone. That inconsistency speaks for itself. The employee at the register was a Caucasian gentlemen who was bald and was wearing glasses. I understand that employees have policies they have to follow. But if verifying pick up orders is the policy, then apply it to EVERYONE. You do not get to selectively enforce a policy and then expect customers not to notice. The fact that my boyfriend was singled out while multiple other people were not is deeply concerning and felt like racial profiling. I was born and raised in the neighborhood. Literally two blocks away. Me and my family order from this location numerous times which makes this experience even more disappointing. We have supported this establishment repeatedly, only to leave today feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. MIXT needs to do better. Policies should be applied consistently, not based on who walks through the door. You've lost my business. -A very disappointed neighbor

Steak was barely flavorful, quite cold even though it was "cooked on the spot". The caramelized onions were cold and nothing out of this world - if anything because they were chilled, they lost a bit of their flavoring. The croutons were nonexistent, I almost had to go back and ask if they could add some until I found 3-4 at the very bottom of my bowl. A lot of greens which was good, good serving there. I got a side of focaccia and that was delicious (do wish they offered to toast it a bit, it'd be that much more yummy!). As for my other visits, same applies - unfortunately it's just an overpriced salad I know I can make better at home. The dressings that it came with which were a bbq sauce and some type of special ranch also were a weird combo, glad it was on the side vs in the salad itself otherwise I'm not sure I would have eaten it. Crispy cauliflower was good but definitely not crispy at all! Probably got softer on delivery but definitely not something that should be advertised as crispy when it's not... The restaurant itself made a great first impression. It was clean, organized, and even had a nice little area set up for social media photos. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the presentation. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Greek chicken. The chicken was dry, and it was obvious the seasoning had been sprinkled on after it was cooked instead of being cooked into the meat. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts looked perfectly crispy, which is exactly how they should have been, but they were soft and soggy instead. To make matters worse, the sauce was packed inside the same container, so the steam made them even soggier while also heating the small plastic sauce container inside. The fried cauliflower was equally disappointing. It looked crispy because of its golden brown color, but there wasn't a bit of crunch. Instead, it was oddly firm, almost al dente, making it feel more undercooked than fried. I also tried the garlic chicken soup, expecting something similar to Avgolemono. Instead, it was a thin, watered down broth with the same dry chicken pieces from the Mediterranean Bowl tossed in. The pita bread served with it was honestly the worst part of the meal and the only thing I threw away. Nothing was completely inedible, but for more than $60 worth of takeout, I expected food that matched the clean, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant.
