Ok, so I've become somewhat of a regular. There's still one girl who isn't of the friendliest personality but the others are great. I always order a chipotle breakfast bagel on jalapeno and it's always made to perfection. Great deal for a dozen doughnuts! I recently stopped here at night and there was no one else in the shop, except for the sole employee so service was quick. YumYum was actually my second doughnut stop, I tried to support a local mom and pop place but they were closing. Yes YumYum Donuts is a chain, but they're open 24 hours and no matter what time I stop here the doughnuts seem consistently fresh. I didn't know what to get so I asked for a variety and just chanced it. Which resulted in a great selection and the lady behind the counter was super sweet and threw in a couple extra gratis! Pro tip: Give a tip, it goes a long way! ;) Also signal ahead of time when coming south on Fremont. The alley you turn down to get to the shared parking lot with Albert's is a sharp 90 degree turn, which happens immediately after the intersection. You want to warn anyone tailgating you and give them ample time maneuver around you. read more

Good donuts. Nice, fast service--was in and out in probably less than 10 min with someone before and after me. The cake donuts far exceed the "normal" donuts, though, so it can be a hit and miss. The cinnamon roll was a bit dry, but the cakey chocolate-y one with frosting over it was really good. The thing I most vividly recall about this place is the fact that the lady at the counter said this place is open 24|7. However, I don't think this place has wifi. There's decent seating in this small donut shop that gets a decent amount of foot traffic. I ordered one of their ice coffees. It was some generic brewed iced coffee, but they put Italian syrup to sweeten the drink which is either Vanilla or Hazelnut. I opted for the Vanilla which was pretty good. Also, I ordered a mini croissant as a little snack for the morning. It was unique in that it had some sugar sprinkled on top of the croissant. When I went to pay for my coffee and croissant, I noticed that they had samples of their bagel sandwiches out in front to try. So, in addition to the mini croissant, I had samples of their bagel sandwiches. I would recommend one of their cold bagel sandwiches, but the hot bagel sandwich sample with the melted cheese did not delight my taste buds. read more

I think the only reason why I'm giving this place 4 stars is because it's a childhood favorite of mine. My mom used to take me here to get donuts for the next morning as a kid when I lived in South Pasadena and I can't believe it's still around. I must say though, the donuts are GOOD. I swear they make the best glazed donut holes too!! The coffee isn't that great though, super weak. I came here a few times to get donuts & coffee in the morning for my employees and the coffee was really watered down. I was craving all an chocolate donut & finally decided to come here since its down the street & is conviently open 24 hours. I picked my all chocolate donut & I was completely bummed. It was a bit crunchy & not in a way a donut should be...also tasted the 'deep fried' taste more than the chocolate itself. We went here late at night, so there was only one other person in the shop. It was nice that there wasn't a line to wait in. We each got one donut - I got a cinnamon twist and my girlfriend got a chocolate long john. I thoroughly enjoyed mine, while she thought hers was just okay. I've definitely had better donuts before, but this hit the spot since I had been craving donuts. The shop did seem a little sketchy at night, so that's one of my only complaints. This place has really gone downhill, I went in waited for 5 minutes after I waived at the baker working there. I asked him which ones are fresh he said they all are, after I got my 12 he tossed in 2 random donuts to make it the yum yum 14 and charged me. I asked about those two donuts he said they are free, after I told him I didn't want those two he charged me less if I took them. I did and found out why they were old donuts harder than a rock.
