Visited this place for dinner on a hot and humid spring day after the red eye the night before. We sat outside. We ordered pad kee mao with shrimp, Panama beef, grilled steak, green papaya, pork belly. Overall, the food was good and the waitress was very nice and checked on us often, the outdoor/side walk seats were also great especially when it was so nice outside. Overall, good dinner, the papaya salad could have been better- needs spicier and use green papaya instead of white papaya (weird looking). Pork belly didn't have any skin and it was deep fried and could have been better prepared.

The food lacks so much flavor!! They add this spicy sauce to a lot of things and the taste overpowers the dish. The service is fast which is great but I'd rather wait 30 mins for a fresh dish with good flavor over whatever this was. The ambiance is nothing fancy, they have paper on the tables for easy cleanup if that helps.

Service was prompt, atmosphere was ok... not too crowded. Food was decent but more on the fast-food side. Orderer their dinner special for $20 which came with 2 pieces of Veg dumplings and Pad Kee Mao. Everything was extra greasy and oily but tasted good. The $20 dinner special is not worth it in my opinion as you get much smaller portions

I went to Yum Yum Too for the first time tonight after going to see Moulin Rouge. Upon entering, we were greeted by the hostess and seated right away. For my drink, I got pineapple juice, and since I always get noodles at Thai places, I thought I'd switch things up and get the tofu and vegetables in Thai basil sauce, as well as the tom yum soup. Both were extremely delicious and flavorful, and I had enough of my main dish to take back home with me. The tofu was pan-fried instead of deep fried, which I appreciated. It honestly made me enjoy my dish even more! Even the rice on the side was delicious- it didn't need any added seasoning like soy sauce, which I say is a success. The restaurant was also packed, but was fairly quiet despite this. One thing I was impressed by was how good the prices were- they have a 5-course pre-fixe special for $26.95, which includes soup, salad, an appetizer, an entree, and ice cream. A few of their mixed drinks are under $9, which is basically unheard of in this city, particularly in Manhattan. I finished off my great meal with some of their green tea ice cream, which was refreshing and not too sweet. I'll definitely be coming back here, I enjoyed every second of it!

Friends and I came in hungry since we saw 3-course dinner specials. That offer has a lot of combination possibilities and definitely will fill you up. Overall, I think the flavors were palatable but I think every dish at the table would have improved if they used fattier cuts of meat/aimed for more tender finishes. The meat was chewier and more tough than I prefer, and took away from the dish overall.

The Thai food here is good, great spot for lunch or dinner. The service is pretty quick as well! You can't go wrong with the pad Thai or massaman curry with a Thai iced tea! The restaurant is a not too small but not super large in size, so there usually isn't a wait and you can walk in.

one of the most generic thai restaurants ive been to in nyc. the food isnt terrible but feels effortless and bland in taste and presentation. portions are small for price and service is fine. this place probably only does well because of the location

Annnd ice cream!!So many options from the menus! I got Tomyum soup and basil chicken from the options and was so good! Just one thing that i am asking is more kicks- But they are friendly, explained well and thoughtful! Thank you so much xx

I came here a handful of times about 10-15 years ago but I would often prefer to go to one of their sister restaurants over Yum Yum Too, but now that both of those sister restaurants have gone, I came to revisit Yum Yum Too and enjoyed my meal! I started with the fried tofu appetizer and then got the Rama dish with tofu (which I was happy to have been steamed tofu instead of fried). The fried tofu was nice and crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The Rama dish had a lot of vegetables (green beans, broccoli, carrots) which was what I was looking for. The sauce was delicious - my only criticism was that I would have liked a little more sauce overall. The rice that came with it was nice and fragrant. The portions aren't as big as some other Thai restaurants in the area but they are priced slightly lower to compensate. The servers were friendly and helpful. Inside, the lighting was dim overall but there were lights over most of the tables. Very comfortable atmosphere for a nice relaxing meal.

Their spring rolls always slap. The massamun curry was good both times I've had it. The chicken pad Thai is a lil hit or miss but not bad, sometimes they have black burned bits in it.

Had a lunch special chicken pad Thai this week and it was outstanding!! The special includes a personalized sized appetizer and I opted for dumplings Everything was phenomenal! Will order again and again!

There were a total 4 of us who were extremely satisfied with this Thai Restaurant called Yum Yum Too. Suggested by one person in the group, I was also craving Thai food on this most recent trip, it was easy to find from our hotel down 9th Avenue a few blocks away. For a Tuesday evening, it wasn't that busy for dinner time and it easy to seat a table of 4. We all ordered their Prefixe Menu for $26.95 that includes a soup, salad, appetizer, main course and a dessert. What I chose was the Tom yum goong Soup. It was a little bit spicy which included mushroom and shrimp in lemongrass soup, simply made. Next was a Thai garden salad with mixed greens cucumber, tomatoes, bean spout with peanut dressing. Refreshing! For Appetizer, I ordered the Steamed vegetable dumpling, stuffed with carrot, cabbage mushroom, tofu & glass noodle. I wish there was one or two more pieces to complete my hunger. If it was filled with pork or chicken, maybe it would have been just right. For my Main Course I chose Karee with Pork. This was a mild yellow curry simmered with potatoes onions and carrot. Very satisfying and just the right amount of jasmine rice on the side. Lastly for dessert you choose from either green tea or coconut ice cream. Coconut it is! Overall, I was surprised at how good the food was and how many times I've walked past this restaurant when in Hell's Kitchen that I've only ever come here this first time. I recommend you try out Yum Yum Too for good Thai food and sample one of their Prefixe Dinner Menu!

My friend and I came here for lunch because I wanted to try their $26 Pre Fixe special. The interior was decorative with a welcoming atmosphere. For my first course, I opted for the Coconut Chicken Soup. This was creamy with true coconut taste and the chicken was nicely tender. Then came Spring Rolls with Salad. These were satisfyingly crispy with vegetable filling. The salad was a lovely fresh, crunchy element. came with cucumber, onion, tomato, along with a tasty peanut sauce. I decided to go with something I normally wouldn't order for the main course, which was Black Garlic Pepper Pork with mushroom. This was served on a bed of lettuce and was topped with scallions. I also requested Sticky Rice to go with it, which was an extra $2. The pork was juicy and full of yummy, savory sauce. Sticky rice was not very good, as it didn't have that glutinous consistency I like. My friend ordered the Tamarind Duck, so I got to try some of it. The duck was succulent and well seasoned. Dessert was Coconut Ice Cream, which I enjoyed. It was creamy, milky, smooth. Service was decent. Our waitress was friendly and our food came out in a timely manner. However, there are definitely better and more authentic Thai restaurants in the city. If I do return, I would go for either the Drunken Noodles or Crab Fried Rice.

We were greeted by very friendly staff members who, despite our early arrival, worked hard to get us seated as quickly as possible. The space's vibe is exactly what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Times Square area -- dimly lit, but everything was still visible, not too much noise while extremely busy, and very cozy atmosphere made super pleasant from such attentive, kind staff members. I was especially impressed by our server, Leena, who checked in with us regularly, gave excellent recommendations, and was clearly concerned about giving us an amazing experience. My wife and I ordered one of the seasonal offerings--a sweet and savory fruit salad--that was the perfect start to our meal. I ordered the massaman, and it was easily the best massaman curry I've ever had in the United States. Perfect spice level, the chicken fell right off the bone (even my wife, a vegetarian, commented on how clean the bones looked after I removed the meat), and the mixture of textures and flavors with the lotus seeds and onions really created the perfect dish. I am craving it just sitting here and writing this review! Prices? Honestly, I couldn't imagine a fairer deal given the quality of the food and service we received. I was utterly blown away. I cannot recommend Mitr Thai enough! I can't wait to return next time I'm in the city!

I first ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were very good. For my main I had the Massaman Curry. Now folks, this is my favorite curry of all time -- actually one of my favorite foods of all time -- and while it's common in LA where I used to live, it's not as common where I live now, in the Bay Area. And the restaurants that do carry it usually do not make it right and it's not very good. I am used to Massaman in the traditional preparation where it's more like a beef stew made with chunks of beef and needs to cook overnight. When done right it is the most aromatic curry ever -- it's almost like an aphrodisiac! -- and the beef comes out oh so tender. Usually if places have this curry but then offer a choice of protein, then it generally is not cooked properly, and that is actually how they prepare it at SaiTong. But because of such great reviews I decided to take a chance and try it. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely not the norm...it was absolutely delicious! I had it with chicken (they serve breast as default), and the chicken soaked up the curry really nicely. I also asked for there to be no onions, which I think alters the flavor of a curry too much. It does include the traditional potatoes and peanuts, and the potatoes were fine and cut into nice little chunks, the peanuts actually were thrown in raw.. what I think is the more traditional way which is to actually burn the peanuts a little bit, but that's okay, it didn't take down the dish any. Their brown rice is of the very dark kind, which I like, and goes so well with the curry. Service was wonderful from the bartender but was also provided by the rest of the staff and everyone was so nice. I left there feeling so satisfied, and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes.

Therefore, I ordered the gluten-free Scallop Bite (Scallop, dried shrimp, betel leaf, shallot, lime, roasted coconut, ginger, peanut, chili, caramelized coconut sauce), which is their appetizer meant to share, but ended up making it a meal. In addition, I ordered their Crispy Papaya Salad (Crispy papaya, carrot, tomato, corn, string bean, cashew nut). This textures of this salad reminded me of the the crispy water spinach salad I would normally get at Ayada. I agree with the Yelp consensus who dined here that both dishes are ordering! Meanwhile, my friends ordered Veggie Rolls (Glass noodle, taro, cabbage, carrot, plum sauce) and individual orders of Chicken Kee Mao Thai Spicy and Chicken Kaprow Thai Spicy, which they enjoyed. It does well with doing the whole "fusion" schtick without losing the essence and flavor of the dishes. Pad Krapoa Moo Krob, the meat on the pork belly was so juicy - the pork skin was crunchy and chewy at the same time, flavors of Thai spice, basil, and bell peppers harmoniously working together to bring a balanced meal. The shrimp basil fried rice was delicious, a great alternative if you're not feeling the crab fried rice. The service at Obao is always prompt and helpful, whether it's questions about the menu or recommendations, anyone is willing to help. Inside Oboa is dimly lit, a moody vibe that is fun and invites playful conversations.
