This place is so nostalgic because coming here always brings back memories of good times with family. It also has major Hong Kong cafe vibes, and the pictures on the walls are such a throwback. I don't come here often anymore, but it seems like the price always increases by $1 every time I visit. A few years ago, I clearly remember how it used to only be $10.99 for their lunch special and now it has slowly increased to $13.99! They have a special lunch deal that comes with your choice of a selected drink. I like to get either an iced lemon tea or milk tea. They have a lot of lunch entrees available. I usually get the stir fry black pepper chicken udon, baked pork chop spaghetti, or spicy Szechuan chicken and rice. The food is flavorful and yummy, but portions could be bigger. After finishing a plate of food, I am always wanting more! Their Hong Kong milk tea is strong and perfectly sweetened. It gives me the shivers if I drink it too fast, so I would sip on it and take it to go if I can't finish it. The lemon tea is refreshing as well and is a good palette cleanser!

This review is solely based on the baked spaghetti. I Used to come here a lot for the baked spaghetti with meat sauce but it looks like they might've changed owners and the recipe. It doesn't taste the same. I don't think I'll ever find a place that makes it like they used to. So sad.

We were craving for good Taiwanese / Chinese food and found this restaurant. We arrived around noon and were seated immediately although it was pretty busy. - baked pork chop on rice: the dish tasted good but the pork chop was thin. - salted fish & chicken fried rice: the portion was very generous for the price. I requested lots of salted fish and they did gave lots of them. - hot milk tea: good, creamy and perfect sweetness

Beef Chow Fun (portions taken out), very tasty

Sadly, they said their last day of operations will be on 1/25/26 after all these years in business, sign posted by door also. They consistently served great, comforting food and will be truly missed.

This is my go to spot for HK cafe food. Everything is solid, love the Chicken Chow Mein and the Baked Pork Chop Rice. So sad that they aren't open for late night anymore but I keep coming back for more. I AM ALSO EXTREMELY DEPRESSED THAT THEY ARE CLOSING FOREVER.

Oh man, I haven't been to Yummy Cafe in years! I used to come here often for late night eats. My friend and I suddenly remember this existed and wanted HK style diner food so we came to see if it was still good. IT WAS SO GOOD! Everything is made fresh and it was so nostalgic. I loved their baked tomato pork chop over rice. The salt and pepper chicken wings were DELICIOUS as well. I am so happy that I rediscovered this gem, I will definitely be coming back!

Got delivery. Mooshi veg. was really good. Only needed more pancakes. Sweet & Sour soup also good, but I ordered mild & it was SPICY, at least for me. Would try again!

Till this day, I still enjoy dinning at Yummy Cafe. There are numerous quality menu items to select from. On this visit, I elected for Mongolian beef. The beef was very tender and flavorful. I love eating this dish with a bowl of steamed white rice. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

It was our first time dining here and we really enjoyed the food. Ordered the family special, 3 entrees plus free soup. Flavor was good and salt n pepper ribs are delicious! Fried pig intestines is a must! You get 5% off when pay with cash. This place deserves more recognition! We'll definitely be coming back!

Amazing service. We called ahead and order. The food is ready on the table when we walk in. Save time especially when have hungry trip-mate who eats a lot! . Lemon tea is also legit. Beef chow fun is the same if I were to eat in Asia! Must order! Parking is easy. The place is clean. Will come again.

Friendly staff. Food is hit and miss. Salted fish chicken fried rice: 2.5/5. Bland. Not enough salted fish bits. Hey, at least it was warm this time! Scrambled egg & seafood chow fun: 3/5. The chow fun was good. Not stingy on the seafood. But the sauce was a bit disappointing. Wonton noodle soup: 4/5. The wonton tasted good, but the shrimp was a bit small. Noodle was perfect. The soup was also good. Mango pudding: 4/5. For only $2.50, it's a must have. It has also mango jelly and mango bits. Egg puff: 4/5. Great taste. Sweet, but not too sweet. The only complain: it wasn't crispy enough on the outside. Mango sago: 3/5. The tapioca was too hard. Undercooked? Borscht soup: 3/5. Full of ingredients. When it came out, you could smell the flagrance! Unfortunately, it lacked a bit of taste. Not sweet and sour enough.

love the ladies over there! Super friendly and great services. The food is yummy too. Price is in the medium range. And who wouldn't know about their iconic yellow/orange ish tables hahaha

Been about 10 years since I eaten here. I think this used to be Yummy Guide. The food was just ok. Pricing has gone up for smaller and less quality dishes. $15 for salt n pepper tofu was a bit on the high end for this low cost ingredient appetizer. The beef crispy noodles was seasoned well. The pork rib stir fried eggplants were missing black beans as described. I was more excited to see Mango Sago as a dessert, but turns out all they did was made frozen mango smoothie and poured it in a bowl and added some sago to it. It tasted nothing like the Chinese dessert I was used to. And the black sesame dumpling soup completely lack sweetness. This was not one of my best experiences here as far as food taste, and desserts. The staff was friendly and sweet.

So I'm planning my next trip here this week so I can enjoy the amazing cucumber salad (so fresh, crunchy and garlicky), their pepper beef clay pot (sizzling rice at the bottom for the win and big portions), their spicy tofu (umm what?!? So crispy) and their awesome skewers (the pork belly is my favorite). The space is small, so if you're planning on dining in during peak times, you may want a back up or take it to go as they only have a handful of tables inside and a few tables outside. There is parking but it is shared with other business so can get busy. The service is wonderful! The hostess/waitress was very friendly and everything came out relatively quick. The clay pot does take some time (they need to cook up the rice to get that awesome crunchy bottom) so place your order for that first, and then look at the appetizers and skewers as they come out fast. This was my first trip but will not be my last to Da Fei Ge!

It was nice enough that I tried to come here on a weekend night and it was packed full of families which is great but probably where I should have thought about it more. We went up to the counter and were told to wait a few minutes. I saw that a large table was clearing up so I didn't mind waiting. During this time a group came up behind us and I thought they were after us. One of the server waved in our general direction after cleaning up and splitting the table, so I thought they were gesturing to us since it has already been 10 minutes of waiting. Wrong, it was to the group behind us. Maybe it was communicated in mandarin that they had a reservation, I'm not sure. I waited for the next empty table, which was also taken by yet another group that magically appeared behind us as if they knew they were in line. I decided to leave after this. My issue is that I looked and talked to the staff multiple times and at no point, did they indicate there was a waitlist, nor did they take my name, or anything about people in front of us. It was really frustrating because being told it would be a few minutes set the wrong expectation. This is not the only place to get skewers so if you're left confused where you are in line, just come another weekday, speak mandarin, or go somewhere else like I did

My husband and I lived in the Bay Area for a while before moving to Davis for school, so our standards are pretty high. Unfortunately this is not going to be my new go to. Although the flavors of the food were pretty OK, we found everything to be really soft. Our shrimp and chive dumplings were literally disintegrating and my chicken feet were too soft. The sticky rice, however, and the tripe were delicious sui mai, and ha gao were pretty good, with the sui mai being pretty juicy. We paid $100 for 10 dishes!
