a salad in a plastic container
    April M.

I used to come here for their ceasar salad and loved it. I think the dressing has changed, not as great, but their ranch is impressive! We ordered fries and they were a pure blob of soggy oil, no crunch whatsoever. My biggest complaint however is the deli employees, they were quite rude and seemed totally put out when I asked for substitutions on my salad and when I asked for condiments for my fries. Your employees need to take a customer service training. I don't think I'll be returning. This place used to be full of nice friendly employees.

$13 BLT = bread and bacon so overcooked they shattered in the box during transit.

Until last October, I was a weekly Yummy customer, at a minimum. When I moved less than a mile away in October it put me in Yummy Playa Vista territory. I've ordered a total of 4 times in the last 5 months, as a result. The products sold by Yummy Playa Vista are either near expiration or already expired. This never happened at other Yummy branches. The prepared food at Yummy Playa Vista is AWFUL. How do you ruin a BLT? Toast the bread and cook the bacon until they shatter into dust with every bite. Yummy Playa Vista also sells salads that STINK like rotting lettuce when you open the container. Yummy Playa Vista sells egg sandwiches that cause GI problems (food poisoning). I strongly recommend you ONLY buy from this horrible store when you have no other choice, like between 9P & 11P, don't buy their "fresh" or prepared food, and buy the smallest available size of anything that will expire.

Nice little market. My wings are bomb. Everything is very clean and orderly. I got fries also and they're delicious. I'll be back :)

[Review #510] 2020 Yelp 100 Challenge (11/100) Yummy.com is a local mini grocery store/deli that's walking distance from my office. I don't shop here because their prices are much higher than the chain grocery stores like Sprouts, Trader Joe's, Ralphs, Vons, etc. On occasion, my co-workers & I will drop by to pick-up something from their deli that also offers fresh squeezed juices, though it's quite expensive. :-| I've been to the market a few times & one of my favorite sandwiches is their SPICY CHIPOTLE CHICKEN CLUB (Boar's Head chipotle chicken, avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, La Brea Bakery white bread). It's a decent size sandwich will adequate filling/bread to protein & veggies ratio. I could use some banana peppers &/or jalapeños for some acidity or heat, but it's still a decent sandwich that's pretty satisfying. Sometimes service is slow with the influx of lunch rush customers, & there's only 1 cashier handling the register. People, please have your cash or cc ready instead of waiting to approach the cashier & pulling out whatever form of payment. Yeesh! Just outside the grocery store, there are tables & chairs at Concert Park to enjoy the scenery along with your meal. I like Yummy.com's deli for its convenience & fairly competitive prices, especially in this area. Recommended: Spicy Chipotle Chicken Club.

I'm not gonna make this a complicated review, as this store isn't a Deli, but there are a lot of people coming here for lunch so I wanted to give my opinion.  I think with the amount of traffic of people that come in here for lunch they could really elevate the space and make it something special. I think the staff does a fine job of putting together the sandwiches, but there's little thought and care put into it from what I can see. The portions of turkey as you'll see in the picture were huge, which I love, but it's inconsistent in how it's made every single time and it seems like there is a little urgency when the lunch crowd is in there and it's backed up. The wait is long. I would totally suggest coming in for a sandwich on off hours, and trying to beat the lunch crowd or else you'll be there for quite a while!

I love yummy.com but recently it's been a little disappointing. I'm pretty obsessed with yummy and my fiancé always urges me not to use the service because of how pricy it is, but I LOVE the convenience. My last few orders havent been very fresh. My most recent order came with a molded onion and they didn't deliver my salmon (or charge me for it) which I assume means it was out of stock but there was no communication or call about the out of stock item. I started to prep some things tonight for a meal and I was disappointed to discover that some of my items were missing or intensely molded. I typically spend anywhere from 40.00-100 per week at yummy and I'm kind of disappointed today. I work long days and the convenience of not having to deal with the stores after work is worth the price- usually. : /

I placed an online order like requested during COVID19. They've taken my money but have not delivered in over 2 days vs. the 2 hour window they first provided. They do not answer their phones and they don't reply to emails. Their site and app are horrible to use and with no customer service I'll be surprised if they make it past this outbreak.

I had just come back from going…read moreout and ran into my mom in front of the elevator, and she asked me to go to the market with her. But honestly, this place is absolutely terrible and horrible. Both my mom and I agreed that we will never come back here again. My mom had come to get a refund because one of the pears she bought the day before was completely rotten. The market manager refunded $2 to her credit card, which was fine. The real problem started after that. When my mom was trying to drive out of the parking lot, the gate bar went up after scanning the parking ticket, but then suddenly came crashing down. If my mom hadn't quickly backed up, it could have hit her car. The bigger issue was that after that, the gate bar never went back up again. Cars behind us had to use another exit nearby. My mom, who was very shaken, went to ask the market manager what to do, but she said she didn't know. (At first, I stayed in the car and had to tell the cars behind us to use the other exit because the gate was not working). I was very upset when I heard that, so I went inside and asked the manager for the building management's contact number. She gave me a number, but when I called, the person who answered kept saying she couldn't find the address even after I repeated it more than ten times. Eventually, she told me they no longer manage that building. So I asked her to provide the contact number for the property management that handles the building, and she gave me another number. but it led to an automated system. After selecting the emergency option, a man answered, but even after I clearly spelled out "Zion" multiple times (Z as in Zebra, I as in Ice cream, O as in Oscar, N as in Nancy), he still couldn't understand and then told me that they no longer manage the building and hung up. We arrived at the market around 5 PM and didn't get out until 7 PM. No one helped us at all. After the call, I went back to the market manager again, but she still said she didn't know anything. It made me so angry--how can a manager not even know the property management contact for the building they work in? I also have low blood sugar, so when I get hungry, I start shaking. I ended up buying a piece of bread from the Paris Baguette inside the market. I didn't have cash with me, so I had to pay $3.50 with my card, but thankfully, the staff there was very kind. In the end, my brother had to come all the way from Burbank to get a new parking ticket for us so we could finally get out--after two hours. If he hadn't come, we might have been stuck there even longer or had to abandon the car. Thinking about it now still makes me extremely angry. The customer service is terrible, the building management is a mess, and there was no security at all. I never want to come back to this place. We spent two hours there, from 5 PM to 7 PM, completely wasting our time. Because of this, I couldn't do anything I had planned for the rest of the afternoon and evening. It was an absolute nightmare. My mom was also very upset and couldn't believe a place like this exists. FYI) Every time I come to this market, there is absolutely no cell phone signal., which is another major downside.

I asked her how things worked and she explained it all. The kefir/kombucha bottles are $4 for 16 oz and they have 3 of each on tap. I asked Marcy about one before realizing everything had a QR code and you can easily pull up the ingredients and descriptions/directions for each item. I'm getting away from plastics and this place scratches me right where I itch! They sell just about anything you can imagine! I was so impressed w the selection! They even have produce and fresh sourdough bread! The day old is 50% off and I'm so mad I was in a pinch and had to buy store bought bread, otherwise I would've tried it today. I can't say enough. Even the music was fire and I was shazaming and jamming. Shower gels, body care, non seed oils, baking mixes, laundry pods and things you see in bulk at like Sprouts, but the quality and sourcing seems to be better. Some items don't need jars and they sell paper bags for .10 each. I did a kombucha/kefir tasting. Marcy brought these steel bowls over. No waste at all! If you drink the POG kefir soda at Erewhon and love it, try it here! It's made w fruit and is noticeably better! And POG there is my fave. Just try it at Re_!!! So when I was checking out I asked Marcy about being more prepared and bringing my own glasses next time. They've thought of everything!!!! There's iPads and scales in the front of the store. They weigh your empty containers and give you a sticker with the tare weight and then subtract it from the weight at the end! Revolutionary! They add 3% for the employees. I should've added more. Marcy was amazing and worth it. I'm honestly not big on tipping everyone for just breathing but if all the employees are like Marcy, they are worth way more than 3%! If you sign up you get 100 points instantly, $1 = 1 pt, and at 200 pts you get $10! It's not hard to spend in places like this but it's beyond worth it. I keep seeing things about the harms of plastic and don't get me started on all the other crap in our food. I foresee this as a new staple in my diet and home. They even have cleaning products! I'm getting my spices here from now on too! I'm a fan and I'll be back! Thank you Marcy and to the owners that had this amazing idea!
