We had to wait 45 minutes plus. Then they were letting people that got there after us sit first. This restaurant exhibits preferential behavior to people of the same race. The food is terrible as well as reused. Which doesn't surprise the servers because when you tell them the food is bad, they don't care. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Phenomenal. This is not your run of the mill Chinese place down the road. Yummy House is a sit down restaurant that offers dim sum on the weekends, traditional Chinese appetizers and an impressive spread of different entrees. Easy to over order here, all of the meat entrees are big enough to share between 2-3 people. My recommendation would be to order a base of fried rice or noodles and 2 or 3 of the entrees. My personal favorite in the honey walnut chicken, it isn't on the dinner menu (lunch menu) but they'll make a dinner portion for you. read more

We got the salt & pepper calamari dish, fried rice and lo mein for lunch. Everything was so good, very inexpensive with a friendly staff. We got there minutes before they closed for lunch but the employees were very helpful & cordial not in a hurry to kick us out. Our first visit to Ocala's only sit down full service Chinese/Oriental restaurant...! To begin, the 'egg rolls' were actually spring rolls...completely tasteless...much like right out of a freezer box...and the blah dipping sauce didn't help them at all. Forget the 'crispy egg rolls'..!!! The server seemed to know the menu and was willing to talk about various dishes....and assured me that most of the offerings could be prepared 'as spicy as I wanted'....! I've heard this before. Surprise...! The Chicken curry was extra extra spicy as requested...with lots of chicken, red & green peppers & onions in a really good spicy curry 'gravy'. Very tasty! Generous portion size as well. Not so pleasing was that basic white rice is charged extra if that can be believed. Come on...how cheap is white rice? At the cost of the entrees ($13.00 & up)....just include a monkey bowl of rice for goodness sake...!! Except for the nothing 'egg rolls' and the 'rice charge' the experience was mostly good and we'll probably be back...but most likely not as regulars. read more

I ate there last night and the food was delicious.... Service was impeccable.....Right on point.... Love the fact that the chopsticks were on the table already and I didn't have to ask for them.... The tea was outstanding.. I ordered shrimp and mixed vegetables and it was perfect.. Lots of shrimp and the veggies were great and very different then served in most other Oriental restaurants . If I could leave zero stars, I would...This place is so bad,, that I actually am leaving a review but just look at what other people are saying. All the negatives are consistent. It's interesting how many bad reviews this place has and yet still they overcharge for everything as people have written and there system is not set up to accommodate. I dony mind expensive, if its good bring it on but this is the 2nd time I've been here and both times, the food has been subpar...I take it home but don't even eat it. The people saying their roast duck is like Chinatown in most cities is not even close...It's horrible and I question portion sizes on this dish. And worst of all,, its tasteless, if not for the accompanying sauces. The beef on the Beef chow fun not only not tender but actually dried out. Serious mistake to order extra beef with it, and at $3, I asked how much extra do you get....and when she replied a handful, I looked at her small hands. Wow........ate here a few weeks ago and it wasn't too bad; decided to come back for a nice night out on a Thursday, figuring the crowd wouldn't be too bad. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!. Service is a 1= total FAIL; NO one came by to ask us how the food was, no water, an appetizer never appeared. Food = total FAIL - Kung Po chicken is supposed to be spicy and I asked it to be made extra spicy (because I know they make everything bland, but this was as tasty as dishwater); again NO one came by to ask anything. Glasses for water and wine sitting empty at edge of the table, no service; waiter NEVER came back, had to get host to get some water = TOTAL FAIL. We THOUGHT after our first trip that we finally found a decent oriental food place in Ocala - we were completely disappointed and we will not be back. Do yourself a favor - for the prices they charge (and everything, even rice is ala carte) go elsewhere. This place is NOT worth the price charged. read more

Average food, at best. The restaurant needs better customer service. Ordered over $200 of food. When I ordered an entree (clams with black bean sauce), no rice came with it. Told the server that a rice is supposed to come with the entree. She came back with the entree and brought a rice. I asked her if we were being charged with the rice and she said the manager said yes, "that's the Chinese way." Pardon me, let's not insult the Chinese, charging for an "extra" rice is the "Chinese way", which is tacky to begin with (e.g., Italian restaurants do not charge for bread that comes with the pasta). Charging for the initial rice that should accompany the entree is -- flat out -- shameful. Out of principle, I will not return to the restaurant. That, my friend, is the American way. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find a clean, spacious, sit down restaurant in the heart of 'all you can eat-buffet style ' central Florida. Best of all , the food was delicious ! Having lived in the San Francisco Bay Area most of my life, I am stoked that they finally have a Chinese restaurant that rivals any in the Bay Area.
