    Lamb mandi
    Latifa H.

We went here for dinner + hookah since I love Mandi food. I got the lamb Mandi which was amazing and I would just go back for that. The hookah is great and very reasonably priced ($20) with heated outdoor seating. The place is open till 4 am and has music and is usually packed so great for alcohol free nightlife (no alcohol since it's a halal place). I have also gotten chicken Mandi from here and it's not that great. So I would only recommend their lamb dishes

I tagged this place to visit on yelp. So, I took a ride to Annandale from Woodbridge today. It was not worth it. There are too many like places near me that are so much better. When I arrived one other person entered who was picking up food. That was it during the next 20 minutes while I was there. This made me leery. Yummy Kabob had an odor; and not the spicy aromas I grew accustomed to from middle eastern restaurants. (I know, I should have left. But, I came so far, and their ratings were high). The place was freezings, so I waited in my car for my food. I ordered a combination of chicken and salmon kabobs, chickpeas, and yellow rice. Overall, the food was unremarkable, not bad, but not great. Instead of the chickpeas I ordered they gave me spinach. Unfortunately, I was home before I discovered this. Last, I was disappointed that I did not get that signature bread. Bottom line, it pays to really examine reviews, and not look at the overall rating before you tag them to visit.

Yummy Kabob feels completely refreshed after the renovation. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the food is very delicious and flavorful. It's a great spot to visit, especially in the summer.

Food is delicious as always, the price on the menu online made sense and then I got my bill and it was way more than what it said online. Will probably go back but not sure why the price changed when I paid. Service was pretty slow as well which I don't usually mind but it wasn't busy.

Good food, kind of awkward experience. I had been wanting to try this place because it's in such an unusual location and it's near the Cross County Trail (not a lot of businesses are). They really seemed like they didn't want me to eat there. They handed me the food to go when I wanted to eat it there. I asked if there was some kind of outside patio where I could eat, and they said no. Then I noticed the cool indoor/outdoor hookah space (which I'd seen online.) I was like, "can I eat there?" They were like ........"oh yeah, sure." I got out there and they turned the music off. Totally strange vibe. This was around 3 pm, so it was definitely a strange time anyway. The shawarma was decent. The pita was perfect, the chicken a little gamey, the garlic sauce was money. I was really surprised to see they're open until 4 am! It must really transform in the evening.

Wasn't what I expected. Chicken was red & sort of spicy. Flavorful, I just don't eat spicy food so that was off putting. Chickpeas were yummy!

Chaotic parking, disorganized service, a cluttered outdoor setup, and a great time. Yummy Kabob cafe was one of the most fun and chaotic food experiences I have had in a while. A very chill dining and hookah experience, this place is great for medium and large group sizes. It is also open until 5 am and is great for a late night hangout spot. Now for a spot like this, the food is surprisingly very good. The kabob combo had very flavorful and well cooked chicken and beef kabobs. The chicken over rice was solid as well and the chai was very good especially late at night with a group. I highly recommend this place as a late night joint for fun vibes and good food!

I found an insect in my food. This is completely unacceptable

I found a bug in my food. The kitchens are very dirty and filthy. At night, rats and bugs must be throwing parties inside.

Yummy Hookah Lounge offers a vibrant atmosphere perfect for unwinding with friends. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of being served by Suzan, whose exceptional service truly enhanced my experience. Suzan's attentiveness and professionalism stood out, as she effortlessly catered to our needs and ensured we had a fantastic time. Her warm demeanor and knowledge of the menu further elevated our evening. Overall, Yummy Hookah Lounge provides a top-notch experience, with Suzan's outstanding service being a highlight worth mentioning. Last but certainly Not the least.. their dishes are definitely YUMMY !!!

for those who live in NoVa and looking for late night eateries - this place's kabobs are really good. I've always been a fan of chicken platters , so their chicken kabob platter is really juicy, I've been here about 3x before writing this review and my chicken made has not been dry so I've been really happy about it. Next, the lamb mandi is oh my god- it just comes off the bone. it's so aromatic, flavorful. highly recommend for those who are afraid that lamb will be more gamey. honestly, it was so tender! also - must order apps include the hummus (if you eat at the restaurant, they give you extra naan) and the falafels are good too!

The best part was something that we ordered to share, the Chapli Chopped Cheese Loaded fries. It wasn't on their menu boards yet but I had seen it on their instagram and had to try it. It was delicious! I would definitely come back and get those again. I know they want to drizzle a zig zag for aesthetics (makes it look really good haha), but the sauce ends up taking over the entire flavor. If they could put less sauce by default I would definitely give this place a perfect rating. I'm in between a 4 star and 4.5 star for this place. Maybe I'll come back one day to try it again and up my rating!

As for drinks- Tiramisu latte is the most popular and banana bread latte is one of the new ones and was recommended to me to try by the cashier. If you are deciding between the two, the tiramisu has the stronger coffee taste whereas the banana bread is sweet with a slight banana flavor. The only thing I will say is while the menu is beautiful the drinks don't really come out looking like how I expected based on what I have seen on Instagram with all the foam and toppings.. maybe an off day but the tiramisu latte I thought had mascarpone cold foam for example.

This was my first experience at a Yemeni restaurant, and it turned out to be an incredibly pleasant and flavorful introduction. We were served half a lamb, head included, laid beautifully on a large platter of rice. But first, the restaurant itself. It was refreshing to see a place that uses real cutlery, proper plates, and actual tablecloths. I much prefer tables and chairs over booths, which often give off a fast-food chain vibe. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, though there was some drilling and repair work going on--likely related to safety or exit signage--so that's understandable. Now to the food. The rice was fluffy and deeply infused with flavor from the lamb, clearly absorbing the richness of the long, slow cooking process. The broth had rippled into the rice, creating an incredible depth of taste. If you've had biryani, this was somewhat similar, but with its own distinct character. The lamb itself was exceptionally tender--falling off the bone and melting in the mouth. For anyone who usually avoids lamb due to its strong aroma, this dish is a must-try; there was no overpowering "lamb smell" at all. The meal was accompanied by a fresh salad and two side sauces--one tomato-based and another green sauce that was extremely spicy, so proceed with caution. The mint lemonade deserves a special mention: easily the best I've had. Not overly sweet, clearly made from fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced. We ended the meal with tea and a warm dessert that was buttery, comforting, and topped with cream--an excellent finale. This was a completely new culinary experience for me, and I left the restaurant feeling like my palate had leveled up. Highly recommended--definitely a place worth checking out
