I usually have to try to go to federal way to get Korean food so this is a welcome addition to the area. My boyfriend said the bulgogi was very good and so was the spam musubi, it was the kimchi fried rice I had the issue with. It seemed to be lacking in flavor and wasn't spicey at all which was really upsetting. Had I known the spice flavor would be so mild I would've at least ordered some gochujang on the side to bring up the heat. With this new venture, the same perfect menu favorites remain: bbq chicken, poke, spicy pork, kalbi, and more -- with some new innovations too like fried chicken and garlic chicken. These authentic family recipes are nearly perfect, and are executed consistently and deliciously every time. I was both intrigued & skeptical when I found this place on Yelp. In general, the portion size is filling. We ordered the spam musubi, kalua pig, & a chicken teriyaki-like dish. My friend's spam musubi was a lot bigger than we expected & seemed to be filling. They served the kalua pig with japchae, kimchi, & macaroni salad. All things I love! It was meant to be. I was considering getting the korean chicken & apparently they make those with the wings which taste the best. The only criticism I would say is there was quite a bit of oil/sauce pooling on my plate from the kalua pig. I also ended up getting one or two tiny pieces of tendon/bone while eating the pork. Other than that, great food & great customer service. Like others mentioned, this restaurant is a bit harder to find. Really hope this place does well! We ate here twice. Once when the restrictions allowed us to dine in and last night we ate in our car. (Due to covid guidelines) The food was hot, fresh and portions were great! We were so full and satisfied! We ate the spicy pork, beef bulgogi and Katsu. All 3 were delicious but my favorite is the spicy pork. We also had a side of the cucumber kimchi which is an extra $2. I think the fresh cucumbers add. Wish we ordered another one because it was a good compliment to the meal. My only suggestion would be if the restaurant allowed us to pick our sides it would be nice for people who don't want to eat the potato, jap chae or Mac salad. If salad or cucumber kimchi was an option that would be amazing!!!! But again, overall I still give them a 5 star rating and appreciate their awesome quality of food and customer service. The original owners have passed the baton to family and I'm hoping for a steep learning curve. Been there a few times since the transition but I believe the last time I went was the first time they were not being assisted by the previous owners. I had to pan fry my meat jun prior to eating it as the batter was still uncooked; in addition, the sides we requested were not correct even though it was clear on the receipt on which sides were requested. The Bibimbap we ordered did not come with the spicy red sauce the past two times we ordered it. First place in a long time that got the meat jun right and sauce. I don't like when places just try to throw in soy sauce as the dipping sauce.
