This was the first time I have visited this restaurant in person, we usually order delivery. My last review was 4 stars, and if I could give more than 5 I would. My partner in crime, my DIL, is always up for Vietnamese food so off we went! Despite the unbelievable offerings, I decided to try their version of Bahn Xeo which is somewhat of a Vietnamese stuffed crepe. Now the one served at another very authentic and popular Vietnamese restaurant is my favorite and I thought maybe, just maybe, this would at least be a solid 2nd. Oh, no, it is the Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!!!!! Stuffed to the gills with yummy meats and veggies. DIL had a dish I had never heard of, Bahn Bo Bun. It is a yellow curry beef dish and it was absolutely delicious. It will be my next meal here. The staff was courteous and so helpful, despite the fact that it was lunchtime and they were getting busy, they spent a lot of time explaining dishes to us. It was the worst bahn mi I have ever had. Bread was terrible ingredients were flavorless. Third time ordered the Steak Pho. Loved my first visit! I ate the yellow curry and tofu. It was amazing and the presentation was beautiful with carrot flower. My son had the beef pho and said it was very good. We ordered another meal to go and it was well timed for our departure. So many bubble tea options I could not decide. My SO and I had lunch here this afternoon. We split a dinner order of pad thai chicken and it was fantastic. It came out hot and had the perfect level of sweetness I expect in a good pad thai. Portion was enough for both of us to get full. We were provided extra plates to share easily without asking. We both got a bubble tea and they were both very tasty. So far everything I have tried at this place is amazing! Next time I am going to try the Pho. Noodles are delicious. Orange chicken is tangy and tasty. I LOVE the bubble tea! I prefer thai tea flavor but my kiddos let me sample theirs and the strawberry and melon are really good too! They have the yummy poppers for the bubble tea which I like. This is a small family owned establishment and all the staff are really nice. Give this place a try and you won't regret it! They JUST opened less than a week ago so I am hoping they are here to stay cause we live close by. Oh and if you like coffee, try the ice coffee, soooo good! My MIL (of 20 years) is Vietnamese (born and raised). Her century old recipe is tried and true. Our normal place for Pho, Banh Mi, spring and summer roll is a bit further out than we care to drive on a regular basis. This place is much closer so we thought we would give it a try. At first, the Pho broth tastes ok. A couple bites in and you realize that it just doesn't have the depth of flavor that a good bone broth should have. It is possible that they just don't use the star anise and ginger, like we are accustomed, but it misses the mark for our family. The noodles are a bit too thin and have a kind of stale smell and aftertaste. This is the same for the rice paper and noodles in the "fresh roll". I am also fairly certain that the "fresh roll" is not freshly made. The paper and noodles were very hard as if pre-made and left out in the air. Please keep in ind that if you let them slice it (as is the default serving method at this restaurant), you won't taste these things and feel these textures. I asked them to serve it whole. The Banh Mi is not toasted and the fillings are meager. And for those that might be interested, the chicken and rice soup is not Chao Ga, but a bowl of chicken broth plus rice. There is no chicken. I would like to say though, that the spring/egg rolls are pretty good (bit salty but good). read more

My husband had the shrimp pad Thai, and he says it was great, but my shrimp pho was all broth and hardly had any noodles or shrimp, and even came with a HAIR that I unfortunately didn't see until we were nearly done! We also had the shrimp fresh rolls, which were good, other than the insane amount of mint leaf in them.. it completely takes over the flavor of everything else! And on top of all of this, our waitress was rude and obnoxious! She had a terrible attitude and threw our straws on the table after asking if we even deserved them, and then proceeded to stand behind my husband and pretend to punch his head while we were eating. Rather than eat the usual fare to be found in suburbia (although Pho shops are becoming increasingly common even in Tennessee) I stopped in for lunch at Yummy Pho Bac while on my monthly visit to Mt Juliet. Rather than the pho or a rice dish, I had the Kao Piek Sen with crispy pork instead of chicken. It was blistering hot when it came out of the kitchen so I stirred in some bean sprouts and sriracha while I waited for it to cool down a bit. The dish had plenty of pork belly (although it was a bit chewy) and a decent broth that lacked some of the characteristic brightness of typical Vietnamese food. The service was ok - they were a bit understaffed and busy, but they were trying to cope. All in all, not a bad place for a filling lunch, although I think I will try something different next time. read more

I had a bad experience here. Service is very very slow. We got there at 6:05, didn't get food until 7. We missed the movie. I went up to ask what's going on and the answer was they were so backed up with to go orders. What kind of logic is this? Why would you prioritize to go orders over customters who come to the restaurant and give you tips? I'm not the only pissed off customers here, others looked very unpleasead, and one guy also walked up to ask about the long wait. Food: not even good. They didn't toast the bánh mì! Wtf? I got this pale Luke warm bánh mì! I feel very cheated! The bánh bèo is not good either, very powdery and would fall apart. Ugh!!! Such an insult to vietnamese cuisine. It's so unacceptable. I won't be coming back here or recommend to people I know. Saigon basil is much better, solid food and quick service. Just so disappointing, I wasted so much time here. read more

Hands down one of best Lad Nah and Pad Thai in Mount Juliet. Plentiful, fresh and tasty. Only complaint was when choosing the heat level, the heat is not consistent from visit to visit. First time trying Thai so not sure I would be good at comparing. But I was not impressed at all. My son loves Thai and my husband wanted to try the new place. First of all, too expensive. We started with the orange chicken appetizer and I think that was really the only thing I liked. The fried rice was kinda fishy flavored (to me), the brown sauce was too curry-ey (?), and even the beef and chicken were fishy. The sweet thai tea was not good and there was cilantro on a dish that didn't have it in the description. The waitress was amazing, though. Super sweet and patient. Like I said, 1st time having Thai.... and probably last, but if you are a Thai fan you should definately try it. Even if just for the service. read more

The big thing about it was that my mom got here food 1 hour before me and my dad got ours. My dad's food came but they gave him chicken and not beef. Then they finally brought our food. I was hopping the waiter would come to my table to check on me, like he did the other customers, so I could let him know but he never checked on me. The food is good and have eaten here before and it was good then as well but this review is based off of a mistake they made and poor resolution. On Friday my wife drove 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back to get 3 orders of wonton noodle soup but when home there were no wontons in container. We called and they admitted to the mistake and were going to make it right if we wanted to come back. We went shopping next day and it was less of a trip so I called to tell them we were on the way. The person I spoke with said we are going to double your order to make it right so 6 orders. I told her that that was nice but just three becuse that would be too much food . I also felt it would be taking advantage of a mistake. When we got there I was a little shoked as there were 3 side orders of broth and wontons not the more expensive wonton noodle soup at $10 each. If I ran a bussiness like this I would make it right the correct way, and not be of the mindset that they got most of what they wanted so we dont need to refund or replace. Gas, time, disapointment deserve a correct response so We again regretted making the trip. read more
