Best wedding cake ever! And oh yeah, it was vegan! It is my absolute pleasure to write a glowing review for Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen and the amazing vegan wedding cake they make for us at our Yacht themed, Newport Beach Wedding last weekend. From the first moment connected with the team, we were impressed by their professionalism and dedication to creating the perfect cake for our special day. They took the time to understand our vision and preferences, and worked with us every step of the way to bring it to life. The cake itself was a masterpiece of flavor and design. We first ordered their at home cake tasting kit and we were shocked with how many wonderful flavors and combos there was! After many, many bites we finally decided on a vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and a chocolate mocha with hazelnuts...so divine! The layers were moist and delicious, and the frosting was so rich and creamy. The intricate decorations on the cake were absolutely stunning, with a completely nautical themed three tiered cake, a true testament to the team's artistry and skill. It was clear that every element of the cake was carefully thought out and executed to perfection. Our guests could not believe that a cake that good could be vegan! We were so happy to be able to offer our guests a traditional wedding dessert that was not only delicious, but also aligned with the intentions of our plant-based, sustainable wedding. Yvonne and team were so wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. They were always available to answer our questions, they showed up on time (delivering from Pasadena to Newport Beach!), and their enthusiasm and passion for their craft was infectious. We were thrilled with our experience with this incredible local bakery. They truly exceeded our expectations in every way and helped make our wedding day even more special. We saved the top tier (per tradition) and can't wait to enjoy our cake again, while reliving our special event. 10 stars! I ordered some items to have at my daughter's birthday party. The guests could not stop asking me all about where the donuts and cake balls came from! People were blown away by how delicious they were... and not just people with dietary restrictions but everybody. Speaking from my own experience, every item I've tried from this bakery is phenomenal. I've eaten a gluten free and primarily vegetarian diet for about 15 years and this is a RARE gem. Beyond every single item they sell being gorgeous and DELICIOUS... Yvonne herself is so warm. You can absolutely tell this bakery comes from her pure love and genuine nature. We ordered a small cake for a wedding. I was the only one who needed it to be gluten free / dairy free (Mother of the Bride), but everyone raved about how good it was. There wasn't a crumb left on anybody's plate. It was beautifully decorated. They even delivered it to the restaurant so we didn't have an extra chore on the day of the wedding. This was our 2nd cake from Yvonne's. The 1st was also a chocolate cake for my birthday. It was SOOOO good. Rich and moist. Because we couldn't finish it all quickly enough, we froze individual slices that I enjoyed over the next 9 months. Even my husband who doesn't need GF/DF enjoyed it. What a God send Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen was this past month. My vegan daughter was coming home to celebrate her birthday and found Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen locally here in Pasadena. Although my daughter is turning 30 she has a special place in her heart for funfetti cake and what a wonderful surprise to see funfetti as a choice on Yvonne's website! Ordering was easy and pick up a breeze. My son is celiac and the joy was having all partake in a slice of cake! Those of us without dietary restrictions were amazed at how delicious the cake was. The absolute best. Even if you are not vegan or gluten-free, Yvonne's treats are as amazing as the real thing, but you actually feel good after eating them! Her chocolate covered donuts and goatless cheese are my favorites, but she can do no wrong. She also makes the most beautiful special occasion cakes and dessert tables for parties. I always order birthday cakes from her and they are always customized to perfection! She even made my wedding cake, which was a huge hit and so beautiful! I'm finally getting around to writing a review! I ordered a 3 cheese platter and a vanilla cake with raspberry jam buttercream for my Mother's Blessing Ceremony last February. I had previously tried Yvonne's treats at a prior event and had been craving her vegan cheeses my entire pregnancy! They did not disappoint and the platter was beautifully done! Everything was delicious and super fresh. The cake was also really good! It's almost a year later and I can still remember how tasty it was! I especially loved the raspberry jam buttercream. Yvonne has the best vegan / gluten free desserts around. We order cookies from her often for the holidays and they have become our favorite part and even become favorites of non gf / vegan family members. Some of our favorite products include: the chocolate chip cookies, ginger date cookies, frosted sugar cookies, thin mints, and brownie cookies. The only negative is I wish she still carried the chocolate chip chai cookies and more things in stores!! I recently got Yvonne's cake and goodies for my daughter's birthday "tea party". We recently became dairy and gluten free and the treats were a huge hit!!! My daughter loved it and so did the rest of my family. Plus everything looked so beautiful. Our social distance tea party was a big success! I love this place. My coworker bought me a piece of banana cream pie for my birthday in April and I thought it was the best pie I ever had. Since then I go weekly to buy dessert, and I buy all our cakes from here and everyone loves them. Most recently, I ordered pumpkin pie, apple pie, banana cream pies, and picked up bunch of cookies and cake balls for Thanksgiving. My non-vegan family and friends loved everything.
