The service was great, the cashier was really helpful and nice, I ordered the kabob plate with an orange juice. Everything was delicious, especially the orange juice. It was one of the best freshly squeezed orange juice I've ever tasted!!! Give that cashier with glasses a raise :)

Ordered the Chilaquites-1 star The worse Maxican food I've ever had Tortilla chips taste old n blend. The green sauce on the top I turned sour badly ruin my appetite. Beans is blend as well. I couldn't finish this dish at all. Green sauce turned bad bubbling sour! I told the front girl, asking if I can switch it to red sauce. The other guy then walked out of kitchen brought me the red sauce instead, but it's still equally bad. Do not serve anything when it's not fresh no more!

I was out with my daughter, taking care of her DMV stuff for her new car I just bought her, and we were in the neighborhood, so I had her google a spot for us to have breakfast. Z's pulled up and we were only 1 mile away and decided to give it a go. Since it was highly rated (4.5 stars) I expected it to be really good. It wasn't... The eggs were okay, the bacon wasn't as crispy as I had hoped for, and the potatoes were cold. My daughters bagel was okay, she said.. Overall we spent close to $40 and I wasn't amused. The music and all the pictures on the wall was pretty cool, but that's about it. Overall it was a 3 star establishment for me, because the young lady taking our order, was nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

Came in on a Sunday for brunch. Pretty busy but we got our food quickly. Fairly priced menu with tons of options. Clean restaurant with patio seating. Love their coffee/tea bar. You would expect this restaurant to be a sit down place but one must order/pay at counter. Also we couldn't find napkins and had to continuously ask staff for them. The staff was friendly though. My child enjoyed her turkey sandwich. My wife loved her sunrise combo and I devoured my brunch combo. Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be coming back even if we have to bring our own napkins.

My loved ones brought me food from here today and let me tell you it was so good!! I'm not 100% sure how it's on the menu but it was chicken, rice, hummus, salad & pita bread. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!

I love their Sizzling Kabobz! Sometimes they serve it with an authentic pita bread which I love. But sometimes it's served with those store bought pita breads that are more pillowy and bread like, I don't prefer. #207 Raffi's Super Kabob Combo- perfect for indecisive people! You get both beef and chicken. Chicken breast was not dry at all and was tender and juicy. Beef was just the same. Both were flavorful. Rice is always seasoned well. #201 Ground Beef Lule Kabob- seasoned well and tender. I did not like their Chilaquiles breakfast plate. Didn't seem coherent. Tortilla chips were just topped with sauce and drizzled with sour cream, added chopped onions and cilantro. Seemed dry even with sauce topped all over. Egg on top was over done when I asked for over easy. Stick to their non breakfast items. You can order them all day long even during breakfast hours.

I want to start off by saying the only reason this place is getting a two star is because of how good the food was but your closing cashier has a negative/bad attitude. This was mine and my boyfriend first and only time ever coming here. The place looked closed to begin with even though they closed in two hours we got here at five, this was a cute little diner we spotted on our way home and decided to stop at on a whim. When walking in there was only two people in there for such a good rating restaurant which was confusing but once we got to the cashier, I now understand why there was probably no customers. I started off with my order asking for a Ground Beef Lule kabob plate, I didn't know there was more than one hummus which the cashier copped a attitude when I asked exactly what kind they had he rudely said "not what kind but what ones" which made me feel very stupid because of how belittling he spoke towards over hummus! Not only that after he rushed us with our oder he was talking loudly on his phone while just stayed sitting behind the counter. I am so upset and disappointed because of how good the food was but I had such a bad experience. I'm sure this business has other closing cashiers but to be specific it was the person with the speech impediment.

My family and I loved Z's Crazy Good in Monterey Park and were super disappointed to find it closed a few years back. Luckily, they moved around and came back to the area! I'd highly recommend the kebab plates, especially the beef lule. The shirazi salad and choices for hummus (5 I think) are great! I miss the roasted tomato and the lamb option though. The portions are generous and every friend I've brought here has loved it- there really is something for everyone whether you're in the mood for American, Mexican, or Mediterranean food. I will continue to eat at Z's and support this business because man is it worth it! read more

Ordered the BLT to-go and it came out to $7.71 total. Pretty good deal. The sandwich tasted like a really good diner sandwich. The cashier was super nice and it was extremely clean inside. I want to try dining in next time for that diner bang for your buck kind of deal. Parking is ample in the back and for my five minutes there, it did its job and satisfied my stomach! Will go again to try their Mediterranean dishes. read more

Loved the style of the restaurant. Customer service was outstanding and food was delicious. Tried the patty melt and chicken kebab wrap with fries and everything was amazing. Highly recommended lunch or dinner plates! The Southwest grilled chicken salad was delicious but the dressing was to die for!! It really won me over. A must try if you like salads. The chicken was perfectly cooked, all the ingredients were fresh. The combo kabob plate is so flavorful it's the best of both worlds. The beef was so perfectly cooked. I was happy they let you select your choice of hummus flavor. I selected the chipotle hummus, very delicious! I wish the pita bread was a little toasty, just my personal preference. The pita was very soft and fresh. Can't wait to try new selections next time. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Must try! read more

I love all the Zs restaurants and am so happy they are now right in the heart of Montebello at such a beautiful location. The Santa Fe salad is one of my favorite dishes on the menu, and the dressing is delicious. I also love that you get chicken in every forkful I also tried the beef lule kebab sandwich for the first time and was taken away by how juicy and tasty the meat was. (not photographed because I ate it so quickly ) I need to get a full plate of it next time. read more

In case you aren't aware, not only does Z's Resaurant serve a variety of fresh, delicious food at their casual, family-owned restaurant in Montebello, but they also do off-site catering!! A couple of weeks ago, my family asked Z's to cater a very special family-style luncheon for us, which included about 300 family and friends. I have to tell you, Z's did an absolutely amazing job at preparing and serving a scrumptiously, mouth-watering Mediterranean/Armenian Feast for us. And I don't use the word "feast" lightly!! Our guests arrived to find each of their tables filled with an array of appetizing mezze plates. I always enjoy a tastie Baba Ganoush (eggplant dip) as well as sarma (grape leaves) and cheese boreg ( cheese turnovers), and Z's did not disappoint! Next, the servers brought out the main course, which was perfectly seasoned and freshly cooked platters of Chicken Breast and Beef Kabobs. Accompanying the kabobs came plenty of fluffy, buttery Armenian rice pilaf and tender fassoulia (green beans braised in tomatoe sauce). As guests were finishing lunch and expressing how full they were, in addition to how awesome all of the food had been, the serving staff brought beautifully arranged platters of assorted sweet delights for dessert to each table. From deep chocolate brownies to cinnamon cake and mini cream puffs with fresh strawberries adorning each platter. There's always room for something sweet after a satisfying meal!! Needless to say, no one left the luncheon feeling hungry!! With some catering experience myself, I know you don't serve 300 people freshly made, Mediterranean delicacies in a timely manner without a great team leader and a very organized staff. A Big thanks to Z and his entire staff for the very delicious and plentiful meal, made with love, that we all greatly enjoyed!! Got a cali burrito and the meat was terrible! Every piece of meat was cartilage that gets stuck in your teeth. Terrible first time experience, and I don't know if I can recommend. Stay away from the carne asada , the meat is full of cartilage. I can't speak for other dishes since I haven't tried them. This is what I pulled out of my burrito! read more

I was hoping and expecting the same great flavors at Z's that I remember from Z's Crazy Good on Monterey Pass Road. Not sure if it has undergone change in ownership, management, or kitchen staff but my first and only experience at this location was sadly disappointing. I ordered the exact same plate I would order at the the Monterey Pass Road location. The chicken kabob combo plate was delicious and the only thing that kept me from frequenting the restaurant more before it closed was that they closed by early afternoon. In any case, this Z's chicken kabob plate looked the same, but tasted nothing to what I remember. The food had no flavor; the chicken was dry, the rice and cucumber salad were both plain and bland, even the hummus was chalky and grainy rather than creamy. I was really hoping to reconnect with Z's through this new locale--but it just didn't convince me. The stars are for overall cleanliness and friendly service. read more

Family wanted to try a new restaurant in our city and we chose Z's. This is our new fav!!!! I will be honest I felt overwhelmed to know how many food options on the Restaurant Name but don't let that fool you. We walked in Friday evening. Restaurant is very spacious and clean. We were greeted and helped by Adrian. We explained it was our first time there and he gave us recommendations for each section of the menu. He was very nice and patient. Recommended popular dishes and his favorite choices as well. We went with The Nashville Chicken Sandwich which is delicious BUT spicy! Be prepared for that kick to come in after the first bite. Breakfast Sandwich was delicious and my son's favorite. Classic sandwich on a brioche bun with different choices of meat. Tried 6 lemon pepper wings. Very crispy and flavorful. Lastly my plate, believe it's called Ani's favorite. Chicken thigh and Meat Kabob with rice, cilantro / habanero hummus, pita bread and a little cucumber salad. Very Very Delicious and Everyone's Favorite Now! Chicken and meat juicy and no fat at all. Hummus was really good and not spicy. Cucumber salad was refreshing but I would have like a little bit of salt in it. Over all 5 stores for sure. read more

There was a mistake with some charges on my tab but the manager or supervisor on duty came over and notified me before I even notice and she immediately corrected the error. However, I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this location. The service we received from Oscar was poor from start to finish. It genuinely felt like he either did not want to be at work that day or simply did not want to serve a table of two. What made it more frustrating is that a larger party came in later and he seemed more happy to help the and took his time. The restaurant was not busy. When we arrived, Oscar only had one table, and throughout our visit it appeared he had no more than three to five tables total. Despite that, my mother and I felt ignored for most of the evening. What made this especially disappointing was that I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Instead of feeling welcomed, we left feeling overlooked and unimportant. The one bright spot of the night was Nisa, the hostess. She was friendly, helpful, and stepped in toward the end to assist us. Her professionalism was appreciated and was the only positive part of our visit. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this location. It felt like the focus was on serving larger parties while smaller tables received little attention.

The pork belly was thick, tender, and had a nice crispy exterior that added a great texture. Tacos De Chicharron: This was my favorite! The chicharron had a satisfying crunch and paired really well with the flavors of the taco. Both specialty tacos we tried were unique, flavorful, and packed with delicious flavors. It was a great deal through the SGV Passport, and I would definitely come back to try more of their tacos! The service was friendly and helpful on suggesting the different types of tacos.

The steak was chewy (that remark is from my 10 year old granddaughter who ordered it). Plenty of parking in the lot adjacent and seating outside on a hot day would probably be nice in their breezeway that looks like a garage. Respectfully Reviewed.

I gave it another shot and ordered rice again, but this time it wasn't fully cooked, which was disappointing. Honestly, I keep going back because it's affordable and super close to home, but the customer service and food quality just aren't consistent. Hoping they can improve because the potential is definitely there.

I had never seen him ask for one. The reason they get 4 stars is the more than 45 minute wait.

Mac and cheese wasn't too saucy and the pulled pork sliders will have a place in my heart (and gut!). Ordering out is easy and pickup was a breeze. The parking situation is pretty simple with many spaces available. While it's not exactly my type of BBQ, I'll definitely be back. If you're in the mood for smoky ribs and brisket, with a killer pulled pork, this is the place. It's hard to achieve a subtle perfection and I thank Southside for their hard work.

There have only been a couple of times when the unsweetened iced tea tasted a little off, but for the most part, it's always solid. One thing I really appreciate is how fast and efficient they are with the food, even when they're busy, which is pretty much all the time. The staff is friendly, and although I usually go through the drive-thru, I'll occasionally eat inside too. Overall, Arrys is one of those dependable neighborhood spots that's been around forever and continues to deliver.

Z's is a really solid spot for breakfast, especially if you're looking for great deals. The Sunrise Breakfast meal is on point and definitely a standout for the price. The inside setting gives diner vibes. The customer service is excellent. They don't skimp on sauces at all, which I truly appreciate these days. I'm usually hesitant to ask for extra sauces since many places charge per sauce now, but here they gave me whatever I needed with no hesitation. The food also comes out quickly, which is perfect if you're stopping in during a work break or need something fast. My only real critique is the soda machine--it's pretty bad. The soda comes out overly sweet and syrupy, and it's not carbonated enough, which was disappointing. Overall, Z's is a nice, quick breakfast or brunch spot with good food, great service, and solid value. Definitely worth checking out. read more
