Us with our friends enjoying an evening at Zachary's
    Fredrick W.

Went to this place tonight with eight of our friends my wife and I shared redfish which neither of us had ever had before. It came with garlic, spinach, really nice tiny well done potatoes and a mixture of root vegetables. It came with a wonderful salad and the table had great bread on it. Nice hot soft tasty bread 1000 Island dressing on the salad was wonderful. The red fish was terrific. The vegetables were great. the potatoes were great. The coffee was not so great but everything else was in the waitress was terrific. We brought a birthday cake in for one of our friends and the waitress cut it up and put it on plates. She was a nice lady so I'm giving this a five star.

This is a hidden JEM!!!! Amazing service, food and ambiance. Dawn was amazing. She was so attentive and sweet. Food was to die for. Had the red pepper and feta spread app( sorry no pic, we were starving). We had the grouper and walleye and man.... It could not have been prepared better. This place is a must try for anyone who wants great food, service and a chill atmosphere. Fyi. Shorts and a T-shirt was totally acceptable for a Friday night!

If you're looking for a place that feels fancy, this is a good one. With white table clothes, beautiful cocktails, and them boxing up your leftovers for you, it feels like a slice of luxury in the suburbs. But do note, the crowd was pretty casually dressed with many people in jeans and a waiter in shorts. For food, I got the Sicilian Chicken & Roasted Potatoes with the House Salad and stuck with the Champagne Vinaigrette dressing. It was really good, but I do have a few notes: the salad was overly dressed for my liking; the Chicken portion was large, but I didn't feel like the potato ratio was quite right; perhaps it was just the menu items I was considering based on my choice of meats/seafood, but I felt like a lot of the entrees didn't come with a vegetable unless you consider the salad (which I don't). My waitress was fairly helpful and I love that she offered a Half Pour of wine when I mentioned not wanting a whole glass - it's half the wine for half the price, and I thought the Pinot Grigio went perfectly with my meal! Things to know: the restaurant is located in a Plaza of sorts with plenty of parking. And the table came with a bread basket and the portions were large, so the prices felt reasonable. I would look forward to coming back and having the chance to try something else off the menu, possibly one of the seasonal entrees that the chef just added!

Great greeting at the door! We did make reservations yet we arrived a bit before the dinner crowd. Our waitress came right over greeted us and welcomed us as well. The Menu looked great with descriptions of each meal. Along with the daily menu there was a menu with specials. One person in our party ordered Calamari for the appetizer along with placing our beverage order. Not long after everyone placed our orders the Calamari arrived and smelled fresh. Those at the table who tasted it...was delicious. We could tell it was not a frozen product. With each meal there is soup or salad. Most of us ordered the Clam Chowder and it was unanimously delicious! This is generally not a description Everyone has in a party of our size. I ordered one of the specials which was the Swordfish. It was DELICIOUS! Everyone else indicated they really enjoyed their meals. The entire experience was pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Oh my! This Palos Heights restaurant is beyond fantastic! I have no idea how this chef can create such an imaginative menu with such depth and creativity. I would order anything off of that menu. How the heck do you do it Zachary? Dining room is lovely, the bar is beautiful (I could do without the TVs, but it kind of had a little ambience for even people that don't watch TVs). And now an outdoor patio with charming string lights. I was a prep cook, and a sous chef on Cape Cod and I have never had chicken soup this good - everything about it was perfect and my dining partner loved it as well. We also ordered the pork belly with jalapeño sauce, which was a perfect glaze and the chicken entrée was yummy. The waitress brought me a most lovely Sauvignon Blanc out of intuition. I'm going back very soon because I don't think I'll rest until I try everything on that menu which was extensive - see you again soon Zachary's!

My friends baby shower was here and it was lovely! The restaurant was open just for our party. The space itself is modern and has a nice vibe to it. The space definitely worked well for the shower too. They have a large circular bar that was open for drinks and they made a killer red sangria! Yum! The food was so good! We had cream of chicken soup and then a choice between chicken and salmon for the entree. Our whole table picked the chicken, so I did not get to see what the salmon looked like, but my friend said it was good! The cream of chicken soup was delicious. It has a spice in it, like maybe some cumin? It gave it a smoky/spicy (But not hot spicy) quality that was very good. The bread came out hot and fresh to go with it. It was served with a yummy herbed butter. I could've eaten that all day long! The chicken was super big, well cooked and very crispy. It was topped with arugula and tomato and a vinaigrette too, I believe. The chicken needed a bit more salt to take it over the top but it was still really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place for a meal or event!

We came here for date night and I left feeling pretty satisfied in all areas! To start, our waitress was really funny. You could tell she had some (appropriate) sass, but she definitely fit the vibe of the place and it was fun! We had a great time. She gave her opinion on the food and let us know what she thought was best! We definitely trusted her judgement and we were not at all unsatisfied with what we ate. I asked for my burger to be medium rare and it came out perfect! The crispy onions with the BBQ sauce made for the perfect sweet/tangy mix. I wish I could remember the name because it's not on the online menu! But it was sooo good. We also had the pull apart bread with the marinara sauce and the salty to sweet ratio was actually perfect. I'd say the best part about this restaurant was the ambiance and the cool tables they had. It really felt intimate yet really comfortable. We will be back!

As a party of 3 we arrived around 4:15pm on a Friday. The patio was pretty empty but we were sat at the smallest round high top table and immediately asked to move for a little more space. My aunt is 85 and uses a cane so the high top was slightly challenging for her but she wanted to enjoy the patio seating. The service was good. Our waitress was present and refilled drinks often. She was knowledgeable of the menu and checked in on us often. We got a variety of food and drinks from sharable appetizers, individual entrees, specialty cocktails and dessert. Garlic bread, shrimp cocktail, onion soup, salad, filet medallions, 8 oz filet, a chicken sandwich and the baked Alaska were all ordered. I myself am ironically not a beef, pork or fish eater so I went with the chicken sandwich special that was served with coleslaw, red onion and green apples. I asked for the slaw on the side and no red onions but was told they don't allow modifications on specials. Needless to say I still ordered it and was highly disappointed. The slaw made the bun soggy causing the sandwich to fall apart, I could taste the overpowering flavor of red onion and my fries were cold. My mom and aunt both got steak entrees and they had to get sent back to be re-cooked. The filet was rather dry and needed some au jus but luckily the juice from the side of mushrooms helped. The baked Alaska was a nice dessert it was just very frozen and even with marshmallow charring our waitress had a hard time cutting through so we had to wait for it to thaw out. The ambience was great and it did get extremely busy as they suggested. By the time we were leaving, there was a wait to get inside. Ambience- great Service- great Food- eh...a miss. Nothing to return for.

But I had to admit the clam sauce was actually good. They're chicken parmesan was hit... The place was pretty busy and people were having a good time. The dinner was setup for family style which started off with bread and soup, salad, mashed potatoes, veggies then the main courses. We weren't sure if our son who has allergies was able to eat the food so we asked the server. The soup, bread was a no. The salad yes, but not the dressing. They did give him vinegar and oil. The chicken and beef we weren't sure so we ordered him a steak and mushrooms with a baked potato. The server was very helpful with helping us with our questions. When the food started coming out, a new server gave him the soup and the server that helped us warned us that he couldn't have it and I truly appreciated that. They come out with soup in a metal bucket and they ladle the soup into our bowls. The soup was ok but it was cold and the pasta noodles were mushy. The salad was good and the ranch was homemade and was tasty, I wish it was a little more thicker. The mashed potatoes were just ok and were cold as well. The veggies were not good, cold and could use some seasoning. The bread was the star for me. It was nice and crisp on the outside and has melted butter. I wanted to eat it all but I'm trying to cut down on carbs. The pasta had sausage and chunks of the sausage went into the sauce, the chicken and London broils looked good. Overall, the service was good. The bread and salad was good. The soup could have been better is hot and firmer pasta. Mashed potatoes had potential but it was just ok, pass on the veggies. And the meat appeared like it was good. My son's steak was cooked as desired and said it was good but the sautéed mushrooms were missing and we didn't really bother to ask for them. Being with family was great and that's what mattered at the end of the day. But if we were ever to come back, family style is an easy pass.
