I have called 5 times to get ahold of someone who has information in regards to having my autistic child have his wisdom teeth removed from Dr Zak. First I spoke to a tampon prison answered the call like a big corporation and had zero information then I spoke with another random call answering service person who got me to have a call back from a manager but she was never available and quite returning my attempts to reach her. I came into Dr.Zak Temecula Office for a second opinion after a horrible experience I had at another local dentist office. I had a molar that had been bothering me for months a month before Covid hit. My last dentist misdiagnosed me and would initially tell me my tooth was broken from the root and had to be pulled, I ended up with an abscess and when I went for my follow up, he completely forgot what he told me on my first visit and I had to pay $300 to have my gums cauterized because he said it was a gum infection. Abscess was back a week later. I continued with an abscess and pain for 3 more months. I kept insisting That my tooth was broken and He kept saying I needed to see a specialist for my gums. That's how I ended up in Dr.Zak 's office in Temecula! As I walked in I was greeted by their amazing Front office personal Jennifer Villarroel. The office it's self is a bit older not as updated as other dental offices I've been too, but they have everything. I want to congratulate every staff member I have encountered in this particular office. They have gone above and beyond to follow Covid protocol and keep us protected. They took care of my abscess and right away they let me know it was a broken tooth that had become infected! Dr.A was the one who took care of me and was the nicest and was very caring!! I loved the fact that he always made sure I was ok! I had to get a bridge and had a temporary. I went on vacation and it got loose, I email Jennifer V to let her know what had happen and she responded very quickly and send me screen shots of things I can get over the counter to hold it together while I was out of town. She also set up an appointment first thing in the morning for the day I was coming back into town! I have had such an amazing response with this office!!! I highly recommend this office. Never judge it's book by its cover! This office is awesome!!!! The staff will go above and beyond for you and they never make you feel uncomfortable. They are very understanding and helpful!! I got a second opinion and had another place quote me $750 after insurance. They also said I needed a ton of work that a second opinion thought wasn't necessary at all. I went here for years. I didn't realize they were mining my dental insurance like a gold mine. It was only after I got a new dentist that I found out how they had done unnecessary procedures and sent me to all these other dental practices to "check" their own diagnosis. So wrong. I was getting quarterly teeth cleanings at their insistence and my new dentist said I only needed to come in twice a year. Do your self a favor. Don't go to this place! Ok so, while the reviews for this dentist should have put me off I gave them a chance. I initially loved my experience. Even though they had me come in consecutive weeks to do different fillings. I was informed I needed a root canal on a tooth pretty close to the front of my mouth. No big deal. Had to wait for insurance to approve it. So I waited about 6 weeks and they finally call to schedule the appointment. I don't know what prompted me to ask but I mentioned approval for a crown and that's where everything turned sour for me. The receptionist let me know that my specific insurance doesn't cover crowns and that I'm more than welcome to pay out of pocket. I know for a fact my insurance covers crowns so I told her I'd have to pass on their treatment and I called my insurance. My insurance let me know that they do cover crowns it just has to be submitted for approval for that specific tooth before treatment. I called back and the woman that answered the phone was by far the rudest person I've ever encountered in health care. I told her what my insurance had just told me and she "corrected" what the insurance had told me in her words. Needless to say I can't help but feel like if I wouldn't haven't mentioned the crown to them they would have drilled into my mouth and left me without any information about a crown until treatment was done and I would be lucked out and walking around looking crazy. They don't even do fabricated crowns here so I literally would've just had a filed down tooth in the front of my mouth. Save your time. Don't go here. I have had 2 appointments for my daughter the first one they suddenly realized the dentist would not be in,?? the second one they call 40min before the appointment and cancelled. They already have our money for the appointment but its impossible to request a refund so we can go elsewhere because You cannot talk to the actual office, you are routed to a appointment center who know nothing of what is going on! There is no way to get ahold of the actual office?? This is one of the worst dentist offices as far as goes! Plan on not getting seen until at the minimum 45 minutes AFTER you appointment time! Due to this I had to leave for a conference call and have my 26 year old brother stay with my two teen kids...the office manager was visually irritated with this! If you ran at more of a 15-20 minutes behind it wouldn't be an issue. Our time as clients is important as well! I have to say the Dentists and Hygienists are incredibly nice and proficient but the wait is just to much. Also the office feels like a time warp back to the 80's! We had been going to Temecula Dental since 2009. We were very happy there. It was very low pressure, and they did a great job. Since they sold to Dr. Zak, it has been nothing but hell. For the first time, we experienced very long wait times. My teenaged daughter who had two cavities her entire life was told she had 13 cavities at her 6 month check up. I should have questioned it, but why would they lie? I now believe she received unnecessary dental work. She had no pain at all prior to dental work, but after the procedures were done the kid was crying every night and chewing on Motrin. It turns out that they had to redo 5 of her fillings due to their mistakes. We thew a fit and got some of our money back. We were done at that point, but stayed for two reasons: they offered us a discount on future work, and Dr. Tasic is worth his weight in gold (he did not do the initial work). The man needs to go elsewhere. He is wasting his talents here. Next, my son got his braces off, and at his check up they told us that he had two cavities on his molars. It was going to be very complicated since the cavities were so deep. Final cost $4,000! Are you insane! I took him for a second opinion. One of the teeth needed a filing, and the other needs a root canal and a crown, not this extremely complicated procedure that Dr. Zack insisted he needed. The new dentist? $950 out of pocket. I am so disappointed! I will miss the old Temecula Dental. But I get the impression that Dr. Zak is looking to open another office. He is not going to do it by ripping us off. DON'T GO HERE! I would give a 0 if possible. I went in for a crown that fell off my tooth and I had pain on one of my other teeth, The Dentist said that i needed a crown NO ROOTCANAL. I told him I woulld call back to schedule. Three weeks later I schedule the appointment and a different dentis came in and without looking in my wouth she said I needed two rootcanals. How could I need two root canals when their dentist told me different three weeks earlier. Also when I called to schedule the appointment, the person on the phone said that I needed a root canal without even taking my name THEY ARE A SCAM DO NOT USR THEM!!!!!. I also put a complaint into the Dental Licensing Board. I am not done with this.!! My tooth is still not fixed and I am still in pain. I have contacted legal counsel also. read more

I had a great experience at my last visit here. I had something new done (I think it was called a laser bacterial reduction) and Dr. Kennedy did a nice job with my teeth! I was surprised at the service here not only by the dentist, but also with the assistants and staff -- they are so friendly! I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about, but I wasn't told that I had to get a bunch of things done that I didn't need. You come in, get your regular cleaning or whatever you need, and walk out with happy teeth :) read more

We just recently switched to a new dentist and this is the most reviewed (good ones) we could find. Generally it's good and probably one of the best. The facility, the dentist, the specialist and the staff are good. The only downfall is some of the services is a little bit pricey. Well, that's gonna be from my side coz we have hmo insurance for now. But after we switch to ppo maybe the prices could get better. But all in all, this is one of the best. read more

Everyone here is really nice, I do have to say that. I think they may even take classes on how to disarm customers because they are quite good at it. But they will try to get every little cent out of you they can. They never want to just take what the insurance will cover, they always have to add on bacterial cleanings or fluoride rinses or anything to get you to spend a little more money. I felt like I was at a car dealership with the guy trying to pressure you into buying all the add-ons. I politely declined. But you know what? They charged me anyway, but didn't tell me at the office. They turned me over to their "billing" company, who just happens to be a scummy collection agency! I got a nasty letter in the mail that I was overdue on a bill I didn't even know existed. Wow, just wow. I will be looking for a more ethical dental practice. Such a shame - I had been coming here for 17 years. read more
