The mister has a history of being a regular here when he first lived in the area. When we lived in SoCal, he would bring me here on visits. We've celebrated occasions & come with big groups. Though it had been a little while since we last stopped by, we saw Chung (who helps run the place) & were immediately recognized & welcomed warmly. As always, she treated us with kind hospitality & asked how our kiddo was. The restaurant is bright with tall windows & airy with a high ceiling. There are tables, cushioned bench seating with tables, & a long sushi bar. A few TVs are on the walls. There is also a nice outdoor covered patio area. For our latest meal, we came for lunch & ordered some rolls--the Zakuro customized & with extra sauce (savory & peanutty), the Red Bull (a little spice kick), a couple of Bumble Bees (rich & torched cream cheesy), a Zig Zag hand roll (mild flavor, but nicely filled), & a Super Rainbow (very fresh). We received friendly customer service with a smile from our server who checked on us, offered refills, & cleared our plates promptly. We've tried a lot of yummy menu items here through the years & always have an enjoyable meal. The food is tasty, ingredients aren't skimped on, there are unique flavor combinations, & some rolls are interestingly sauced. We enjoyed our recent experience here, just as we have in the past.

Some of the best Sushi I've had! Had the killer bee and the Unagi roll recommended by waitress. Wonderful

Hubs and I thought we would give this place another try. It's been years and we didn't want to fight the line at Mikuni. We had the King Kong, ZAKURO and the Red Bull. The Zakuro was delicious, and the crispy scallop on top was delightful. The other two, ummm, no. The taste of liquid smoke BBQ and the texture of the fish didn't go well. It's the first time ever that we didn't clean our plates. The service was great!

The service is surprisingly fast and the food was delicious. I eat sashimi a lot and I can tell that the seafood they're serving is fresh. Overall very fun a delightful night out! You won't be disappointed by Zakuro at all. Definitely coming back again

Went here for dinner visiting from out of town attending a concert. Had a short wait before being seated. Ambiance was a bit loud due to the high ceilings, but was a fun atmosphere. Server took our order quickly and drinks came quickly. I ordered a glass if wine and had the dinner combo of chicken teriyaki and gyoza. The combo comes with salad, serving of white rice and miso soup. Really, really good food. I could not finish my dinner, was very full. You will definitely have enough for lunch the next day. You cant beat this deal for the price paid. Great service, great meal and plenty of parking. Give this place a try when in town, you wont be disappointed!

It was a very unique and an elite experience. The place the ambiance food service everything was slick. The food was unbelievably delicious. I had zakuro spaghetti. The light cream sauce in which the seafood and el Dante udon noodles was served in a well presented manner made my weekend special. Highly recommend for a date night or any special event night if you would like a slick and elite experience . Food be it salad or entree or shooter was done with great care. The chef meets the guests he did look like lawyer Vince who is trending on fb reels now. Five star experience.

My family and I chose Zakuro's for dinner to celebrate my award from WPUSD. We didn't feel like driving to Rocklin/Roseville for sushi and it has been years since our last visit. Chong, was our server, it's nice to see her still here! She's one of the longest working servers there! It was quite busy when we came but were seated quick. We ordered: *Pepperfin Appetizer 5/5 *Sea Steak Nigiri 4/5-it fell apart bc of the sauce before you could put it in your mouth *Sashimi Deluxe 5/5-so much sashimi and very fresh, worth the $$$ *Shrimp tempura appetizer 5/5-fried perfectly-not frozen! *Ebi Nigiri 5/5 We also ordered Orion beer, miso soup, Edamame, Tekka Maki, and Gyoza. All in all, we enjoyed our meal, no complaints. Chong took really good care of us even though it was busy and stayed on top of everything. Glad we have Zakuro's in Lincoln and wish them continued success!

I went here tonight with my sister for dinner. Our waiter was kind and attentive. The food was good and the menu had a wide variety of offerings. We ordered the vegetable tempura as an appetizer. It came out late with our food and not every piece was warm. That was sad but I didn't say anything because we were hungry and ready to eat. We ordered the Rex Special and Unaten Maki. The rolls were delicious. I recommend asking for thin slice because they are big rolls. This is a nice place to go in the neighborhood and the staff are welcoming.

Still craving sushi after my last online debaucle at another establishment. I decided to try something new. So, I went local again and had delivery from here. It was easy to order and arrived nicely packaged right at the designated time they gave me. My order consisted of Edamame, 2 salads, 2 miso soups, Oceans 12 roll, Mike BB roll, Lion King roll, and a Fantastic 4 roll. The Edamame were good, as was the salad and miso, yet very ordinary and just so-so. Nothing stood out as all that great, just blandly ordinary. The rolls were OK, but honestly, it was hard to tell one from another. The salmon was good quality, and the crunchy shrimp stood out from the rest. My biggest issue was that the fish/seafood in the rolls was minimal compared to the rice, wrap, and other ingredients that overwhelmed what seafood existed. The other issue was it didn't look or taste freshly made, as if it had been previously refrigerated or frozen. Each piece was limp and lacked luster. My dining partner commented that it didn't appear professionally prepared. Each piece just fell apart when picking it up with chop sticks. Overall, it was just OK, yet I was rather disappointed as the whole idea of sushi is freshness. Perhaps I hit a bad day.

Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. Overall, we had a great experience at Azayaka Japanese Fusion. The food was delicious, the service was warm, and we would definitely come back to try more dishes.

First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.

Overall very user friendly. We ordered a variery of items that actually satisfied for two meals in quantity. We got spring rolls, fried tofu nuggets, vegetable fried rice, pork yaki udon (primarily for the noodles), General Tso's chicken (from the Chinese menu) and Ebi Okonomi Yaki. Note that this restaurant does carry mainly Japanese items but also has some Chinese too. The order was ready on time and perfectly packaged for transporting it and keeping it piping hot too. It was impressive as the steam just emitted from the packaging as it was opened. Everything was quite good and I must say we both enjoyed the General Tso's Chicken the best. The texture profile, flavors and sauce were spot on perfect. It came with white rice. Both the spring rolls and the tofu nuggets were tasty anr wonderful as small bites. The udon noodles were very good and the Ebi Okonomi Yaki tasted better the next day, not that it was bad the first. The flavors just melted better. Service was cordial and I would definitely go here again, either to eat in or get takeout.

We didn't call ahead, so the 45-minute wait was completely understandable and not an issue. Once we were seated, though, the experience went downhill. We ordered two kids' bento boxes, an adult chicken teriyaki plate, three sushi rolls, my chirashi, and three Shirley Temples. The Shirley Temples came without cherries, so we asked our waiter about it. He told us the cherries are "reserved for drinks at the bar," but are available for Shirley Temples upon request. Um...okay? Shirley Temples are practically known for the maraschino cherry, especially when kids are ordering them. And if they're available upon request, why not mention that when the drinks are served? It then took another five minutes just to get the cherries. The timing of the food was even more frustrating. The kids' bento boxes came first. About five minutes later, the adult chicken teriyaki plate arrived. Then two of the sushi rolls and my chirashi came out. The third sushi roll didn't arrive until roughly 10 minutes after that. We went out to eat together as a family, but everyone ended up eating and finishing at completely different times. Our waiter also never came back to check on us, ask if we needed anything, or offer drink refills. At the end of the meal, my husband wanted to use tap-to-pay and we asked for to-go boxes. It took another 5-10 minutes for the waiter to bring the card reader and a box. Then I asked for a bag for the leftovers, and that took forever too. The entire experience felt like it was moving in slow motion. After spending $200, we left completely unsatisfied. We have eaten at the Mikuni locations in Fair Oaks and Folsom many times and have never had an experience remotely this bad, which made this visit even more disappointing. I called the restaurant today and spoke with the manager. To his credit, he was very apologetic, listened to everything I had to say, and didn't make excuses. However, after a $200 dinner where the experience was poor from beginning to end, the only resolution offered was a $25 credit. I appreciate the apology, but $25 felt pretty underwhelming considering the overall experience. I guess it'll cover one sushi roll next time--hopefully one that arrives before everyone else is finished eating.
