The entire staff went above and beyond to insure my complete satisfaction. However, I have to mention Perchui in particular who has provided me with a service that was impeccable , excellent and I could not have asked for a better experience. Once and a while i come here with my friend and it has the best chicken and rice ever! But remember the chicken isnt as good without the garlic sauce, that puts the cherry on top seriously without it the chicken and rice would be like any plain ol chicken and rice. Love their cabbage salad and have been asking at other locations and nobody seems to have it except, to my surprise, this location. Also surprising at this location was the service, Sabrina and Alina were just great. Smiling faces and happy attitude. Each one even came to our and other tables asking if everything was great, I was thinking is this Zankou? We do come here for the awesome food but the service is often just zero. Namrot faces, older ladies who don't even speak English, and I don't speak Spanish, so its just you get your food and don't ask questions. In Glendale Ca branch. Not happy with service. Very upsetting. First of all they gave my order to another person and made me wait for 30 minutes to make my order and yet they still gave me a wrong order that is very cold. It looked like they just took the other persons order and re wrapped it. I only ordered 3 wraps (1 falafel & 2 chicken) and they gave me 3 meats (beef) that was all soggy and cold!!! My family has been a loyal zankou customer from their hollywood location and as far back as lebanon, however it has been extremely hard to continue to be their customer for a number of reasons. What is most frustrating is the inconsistency from each of their employees and the nickel and diming they do when you ask for garlic, tahini and even the onions which they used to include in their chicken plates. The customer service could also greatly improve, in particular from the manager Sabrina who gave me attitude and was not pleasant at all. These types of experiences really make me dread going there and although I have been going less and less, I might just stop completely and only pick up from carousel or falafel Arax. Also carousel ends up being more food, better quality for the price. Zankou continues to lose all their Lebanese and Armenian customers due to these experienced. read more

Zankou h been around forever, and that's he long I've been eating there. But we move away so it had been years since I'd eaten there. We were back yesterday. If you don't like chicken, stay away. And if you don't like garlic, stay far away, and keep a distance from people who have eaten there. This is a sort of fast food, in the way that In and Out is fast food. The menu is limited to mostly chicken, all of it done on the rotisserie, and then presented in several middle-Eastern forms: pita, shawarma, tani, kebabs. You can also get a half or whole chicken on a plate. Whatever you order, you'll probably get some pita, hummus, pickled turnips, rice, and possibly another smoky tahini sauce. Oh yeah - and killer garlic sauce, which is actually more like an almost solid mayo. It used to be saucier - now it looks almost like Crisco - and I liked it better in that form. But whatever you order, assume that you'll exude garlic from your pores for the rest of the day. Everything is served on paper plates or in a styro clamshell with plastic implements. Decor is fast-food classic. Drinks are self-serve. The staff speaks Armenian. The food is yummy and generously portioned. But the famed garlic "sauce" is now almost like a spread, and I was disappointed. Still, Zankou gets four stars. If they return their sauce to its former luxurious form, it gets five. read more

The chicken at Zankou Chicken used to taste much better that it does now. They need to go back to the original recipe because it tasted really good before. I have purchased the Chicken family meal twice and ended up throwing most of it away. Besides the chicken being terrible, the cabbage salad is not good at all. So after paying for a meal where most of it goes to the trash I will never purchase the family meal again. Second time was my mistake buying the meal again when I knew it wasn't that good the first time. I do like the wraps here. The beef shawarma is awesome, and the falafel wrap is even better, but I noticed sometimes they don't put enough sauce and it gets a little dry specially the falafel. So I always make sure to ask them to put in extra sauce. And the pickles that comes with the wraps are amazing. The wraps don't taste the same if I don't eat the pickles with my wraps. Garlic sauce is also amazing I can just eat it spread on some pita bread and it is so good. I have actually eaten two of the garlic spread with only bread at one sitting, and just feel full with that. Well where to start.food is always great,but please stop commercializing the tabbouleh I get labor cost I get food cost but come on keep the flavors and traditions going. Also stop being cheap on your food products. Your employees won't even give you tahini with a shawarma plate. Come on!! Also what is this BS with taking the pita bread out of the package and giving two instead of a full pack. We order whole chicken and a few plates and you give one package of pita.also your employees are very drained and don't treat guest properly. They always have an attitude. What could you say about a place whos chicken is excellent It use to be even more excellent many years ago. But remember this is America. Capitalism at its finest. The price got bigger the chickens got smaller the wraps even smaller. But my go to item in this place is the Tarna Plate.
