Zankou chicken is the best chicken I really like it the pita bread and garlic spread is very good

I've been going to many zankoo locations for many years, but by far the Glendale location on Colarado blvd is the best. The food is great and consistent , never had a bad meal, but most of all the service is outstanding. Associate like Perchui makes the visit a pleasurable one. You mix and match whatever side plates you want with absolutly no hassle (not like the Sunset location). In the many years I've been going to this Zankoo, I have brought dozens and dozens of friends and co-workers and we all agree that this a 5 rated location. This location has the worst service. Multiple times they messed up my order. Ordered white meat chicken kabob and got dark meat. Ordered 2 wings a la carte and got dark meat. Then they gave my kabob order to the wrong person, then brought me a combo kabob order, then again brought me a combo kabob order. Never did I get my white chicken kabob order so I had to get my money back. Don't bother going to this location. Their employees and manager are a joke! read more

Me and a friend of mine went last night ten minutes before they closed (just got out of the gym). The cashier was very friendly and welcoming. The music was great! They were playing solo acoustic guitar Mediterranean style (speakers). I ordered a white chicken meal and it came with hummus/garlic sauce/peta bread/ etc. it was delicious! When they closed they waited until me and my friend left (which was 11:03 PM). I would recommend going there! I'll be back for more most definitely! read more

I always look forward to zankou chicken but this experience was disappointing. I ordered the chicken wrap and to my surprise it was ready within a couple of minutes. Of course there was a catch - it was completely cold on the inside. I didn't complain because it was busy and I was just not into it anymore. I love zankou usually but not so much anymore. read more

The chicken tarna wrap here is always my favorite choice. Its been my order occasionally since i came to high school here nearby. The food is fresh unlike many other shawarma spots were the wraps are dry. read more

the chicken was a bit dry, and the hummus was a tad on the salty side, but the falafels were pretty decent. i like the garlic sauce they give you in a foil-sealed container, and how they are generous with the pita bread. my falafel plate lasted 2 meals, which is great for someone on a budget, but i was dying of thirst afterwards because of the high salt content. read more

OH yes, Zankou chicken has been around and it still has a great roasted chicken and their secret garlic sause all the copy cats try to copy with no luck. Shawrma plate is kicking ass here with their sides hummus and tain sauses. If you havent been to this place then you must be from another planet! read more

It's okay. A bit over priced for what is was but it was good. Can't be compared to Cafe Bravo. Cafe Bravo is THE stop! But Zankou will do in a cinch. read more

Armenian fast food at its best. The chicken tarna is delicious with a good mix of crispy and soft texture. The peppers and pickled radishes go very well with the hummus and tahini. Only complaint is it's a bit salty, but hey it's fast food. Oh, and I can't forget the addicting garlic spread (my wife's favorite). Also, as of late, the staff has been a bit more rude and stingy with the peppers and pickles. If you ask for extra when ordering a meal, they'll say "It's in the container" then you open the container to find two peppers, and a tiny serving of the pickled radish. read more

I've been here for the first time today and at first the price seemed kind if expensive but when I got my food, the portions were pretty big! I'm the type of person who never leaves food, but I couldn't finish it. I got the chicken kabob and it was really good. The garlic dip is also tasty. Oh how I wish that this remarkable chain could figure out their sordid legal problems and expand to Vegas. It's tragic that some family murder-suicide/lawsuits are keeping Zankou Chicken from being shared with the rest of the world. But when I'm in socal, I usually pick up a rotisserie chicken family special (whole chicken, hummus, rice, pickled radishes, pita bread, and the amazing garlic sauce) to bring home to the relatives I'm visiting. I also grab a roasted chicken wrap for the drive home (I load it up with garlic sauce in the parking lot before I start the car). The prices are decent and the food always tastes fresh. The dining area is clean and there are plenty of tables. The only problem is the lack of parking the little shopping strip mall has--the lanes are narrow, it's nearly impossible for more than one vehicle to get in/out simultaneously, and the both levels of the lot are usually full. Still, if you can snag a spot (or go at off hours), the food doesn't take too long and rarely disappoints. Until they expand to Vegas, I homemake the pirated internet version of the Zankou garlic sauce (google it). It's hella greasy and not as perfect, but it's as good as it gets between trips to visit the fam in Glendale. read more

I was in the area and was recommended to this place I ordered the chicken kabob meal and 1/2 chicken plate, and had to wait about 10-15 minutes. The wait wasn't bad, being that the place was packed. I have to admit, I was a bit surprised to hear the total for my order, luckily it was worth the wait and cost. The chicken was fresh, rice was fluffy, pita and hummus were great. The only downside to this place is the small parking lot, but I did see a sign saying there was underground parking (don't know how big it was though.) read more
