Always a good night eating fried food and playing pool. You can't go wrong here if you are looking to play a few games! Great spot for the work crew!

Free pool amongst other games and cheap drinks. What's not to love? Just watch out from drinking too many long island iced teas. The atmosphere almost feels like a dive bar but with added pool tables. It becomes very busy later in the day so don't think you'll always be able to grab a table. We also played some shuffle board which they also have although I'm not sure if the sand was brushed over in a while. I'm happy to come back again when I'm in the area as I'm always down for a game of pool with drinks.

Billiards pool bar. Pretty cool except no one complies to mask rule. I don't know if thats a thing in Denver. Ladies room had no soap and when I told her she couldn't have cared less. Horrible drink making as well! Bad bartenders.

I'd return to play pool here, but first I'd eat at the Biker Hot-Dog joint a block away where food and drinks are more reasonably priced. Boiler Makers were good with JD as well whisky and PBR as chaser. Onion Rings were better than expected, but nothing spectacular. Service and day patrons were friendly

Came here on a Friday night. My friend and I were meeting up with a couple of friends so we could all play pool. We didn't wait long to get a table. It's a chill venue located in Larimer St. They offer a variety of games such as pool, pinball, foosball, table hockey, etc. The bartender was super nice and friendly. I ordered an old fashioned drink but they didn't have all the ingredients to make it so I settled for a simple margarita. It was trash, just trash. Mid way through playing a pool game, I was feeling for another drink. I settle for a simple coke and rum. It was decent. Pool tables are FREE so that's a plus. Music was great. Overall great spot to hangout.

I went to this place a month ago because on the website it states in multiple places there is free pool everyday. When we got there the bartender said it's $10 an hour on the weekends. We'd already paid for parking so we decided to stay. Service was abysmal. There seemed to only be two people on shift for a Saturday; a bartender and a bar back/food runner? When we brought up the website saying free pool, the bartender said "management just hasn't updated the website yet", yet there was no manager in sight or mention of getting them involved. We weren't going to make a scene on a busy weekend night so we played our games, paid out, and left. Not having free pool on the weekends was never the issue. The apathy and unhelpfulness of staff just makes this a bar I won't ever go back to. We can find other, better pool houses that actually care about the people coming in.

Worst service ever by Kate. She was slow and she didn't even know the most basic drinks. If that wasn't bad enough this weekend our table had to watch her completely ignore us for her friends and make out with her boyfriend who was sitting outside every ten minutes while we were waiting to be served for over 45 minutes. *edit* Again. She has to be the shittiest bartender I've ever had. I tried getting a few drinks on my way home from work at 8:30 and I only managed to get served twice before last call because she was too busy talking to a coke dealer. How is that even possible with only 20 or so people in the bar and 2 bartenders? If I didn't live next door basically I wouldn't even bother.

Visiting from Iowa and I'll say this: great music, great deals (free pool with purchase most days of the week), and super friendly people (bartenders and guests). They only have 8 foot tables, but I would definitely recommend this establishment for its early 2010's vibes and great billiards.

I knew nothing about this bar when I came here. I had mentioned playing pool and a friend from Denver suggested this bar. We waited a few minutes at the bar for the bartender to acknowledge us. When she finally did and my friend said we wanted to play pool she said ok and turned around, meanwhile two women that had just walked up were given the last set of pool balls next to us. I thought my friend's head was going to explode when the bar tender said oh they just took the last set of pool balls. He found it incredibly rude that the other bartender heard us say we want to play pool and then took the last set of pool balls and gave them to customers that had just walked up (I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and maybe she didn't hear us). He mentioned to the bartender this was kinda rude and she just shrugged her shoulders and said sorry. We didn't order any drinks. We waited about 15 minutes on a Friday night for a pool table to open. The only people in the bar were the ones playing pool. Overall, it was enjoyable enough if you are looking for a place to hang out with friends over a game or two of pool. From reading the yelp reviews it appears the pool is free. So I'm giving them five stars just for that, since you can potentially go there like we did and not drink and play pool. I'm sure that isn't the intent of the bar...but we aren't big drinkers ‍

Security "being threatened" so they maced us
    Angelica M.

I wish I could leave NO STARS. this place is disgusting. I went there this weekend because I was across the street at Gin Mill with my friends for Halloween - gin mill closed early due to inclement weather so we head across the street.... BIG MISTAKE. The security told us there would be a wait - that's fine. We waited for a bit and finally this security in the photos saw my gay friends costume and said "wtf is that I'm not letting you in" and told us to leave. When we started asking why (since others were being let in) security started MACING US in the face. The word "F@gg0t" was being said not only be security but by a bar goer as we were getting maced. They did nothing and let him stay inside. Not only that but they also reported all the one star reviews on Google and had those all removed and had A TON of ppl to post 5 star reviews. This is disgusting. DO NOT spend your money at this a place. They need to be back on bar rescue and teach their employees (outside contracted or not) how to treat people KINDLY. STAY AWAY from this place at all costs.

    "The owner" aka an asshole

Unless you want your card given away to a stranger do not go here. A quote from the "owner" (pictured) is "it happens once a week and there is nothing we can do about it" There is. They could use the system they have that captures the card and charges you even though there is no physical card because they gave it away.

By now, average foodies have experienced what Culinary Dropout is all about and yet I humbly and honestly admit the fact that I was a virgin until I for the first time experienced it today on July 16, 2026. In a way, it was like celebrating a super belated birthday of someone I know. This Denver location is rightfully located in this one of the newly developed residential areas that used to be a desert (lol!!) With a blink of an eye, all sorts of businesses popped up within the last 5-10 years or so. First and foremost, what a spacious restaurant this is! Very modern with some casual sense but upscale at the same time. All 5 of us were taken all the way back to the u-shaped booths that is at the "Converse sneaker" decorated wall near the restrooms. Our waiter was John. His impeccable friendliness with expert-level server skills was quite notable. His timeliness in giving us a moment or two so we could decide what to drink/eat, checking back on us to see how everything was tasting etc. was almost AI-driven accuracy. For food and drinks, I am just going to speak just for myself. I got... -Vida Verdita which is a non-alcoholic cocktail that has a good amount of kick in it with pineapple with green appearance and -Roasted Salmon; the portion is a bit small and yet overall it tasted good with perfect medium-ness. Vida Verdita is one of the best NA drinks I've ever had in a while. This minimal consequence beverage is $9 as of mid-July 2026. If you want to steer clear of being drunk but want some energized push to get your night going then I highly recommend this NA drink. Roasted Salmon, on the other hand, was lacking exceptional quality for the price of $31. It wasn't bad as it was prepared in the perfect medium texture but I found it a bit boring so if spending $30+ on a mediocre plate is your pet peeve, then this "run of the mill" dish should be avoided. I feel that they should add more ingredients such as broccolini (yes, something green (not just some cilantro leaves) needs to be added to the plate.) In conclusion...did I walk away being super impressed after dining at Culinary Dropout Denver tonight? No, not really. And yet I wasn't disappointed either. Overall, my experience tonight sits somewhere between 3.5 and 4 star level. It was an occasion for our monthly "girls' get-together" and it's my understanding that we will meet at this place next month again. I will thus explore more on the menu by trying something different.

Then the food starts showing up and suddenly the whole table is passing plates around because everyone keeps saying "wait, try this." We ordered a bunch of things and the smoked carrots were probably the biggest surprise for me. I would absolutely go back just to eat those again. The masa birria, diver scallops, and grilled artichokes and asparagus were all great too. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly and came with duck fat potatoes, which immediately puts me in a good mood. Dessert also fully delivered. The banana cream pie with black sesame whip was one of those desserts where you keep going back for another bite even when you're already full. It just felt like a really thoughtful meal from start to finish. Definitely one of my favorite dinners I've had in a while.

Warm, happy to have us there, easy to talk to. I mentioned to my friend that I was thinking about a bloody mary, and a minute or two later Ryan asked if he should get that bloody started. He'd caught it in passing conversation, not because he was hovering. That's a hard balance to strike and he nailed it all afternoon. The drinks were great. Nothing fancy on my end, a bloody mary, a shaken screwdriver. Not too strong or weak. Sounds simple, but a lot of bartenders can't consistently hit it! We all got eggs your way, simple stuff done well. The roasted fingerling potatoes were crispy outside, fluffy inside, super good!! The strawberry jam was giving homemade, but I didn't confirm. It sits conveniently near the Convention Center, possesses a polished dining room, and harbors ambitions that deserve encouragement. On the Fourth of July, however, time itself wandered off to watch fireworks. Six coworkers and I arrived for our 7:30 reservation. We were seated immediately at a comfortable table in the back. The dining room was only about two-thirds full, which made the evening's upcoming mystery all the more impressive. That prompt seating, as it turned out, was the fastest thing that would happen to us all night. Our server greeted us, took drink orders, and brought out some warm Parker House rolls with Amish butter, alongside a bowl of French onion soup. This part was good. The rolls were soft; the soup was rich and comforting. Spirits were high. We ordered our entrees. Then the clocks stopped. Twenty minutes passed. Then forty. Then an hour. At first, we assumed our meals required extraordinary craftsmanship. Perhaps each potato was receiving a heartfelt, individual farewell before being mashed. Maybe the cows for our burgers were being transported from the farm where they source their meat in Wyoming fresh to order. But then we noticed something unsettling: nearly every table around us was waiting, too. Plates were strangely absent across the entire room. We had all been trapped inside an intermission with no second act. Our server, looking more exhausted with every trip from the kitchen, assured us our meals had "just been fired." I believed that he believed it. Ten more minutes drifted by. Our dinners finally appeared roughly ninety minutes after we had ordered. I felt bad for the man. He stayed friendly and professional while serving as the lightning rod for a kitchen catastrophe he had nothing to do with. Sometimes the person carrying the bad news is the one who deserves the most sympathy. The food, at least, tried its best. One of us couldn't stop talking about how excellent the pork chop was. Another declared the salmon outstanding. Three of us ordered the Brush Creek Wagyu burger. Mine arrived a perfect medium-rare. The other two, ordered medium, arrived practically mooing. But after waiting an hour and a half, nobody had the stomach to send them back into the void. They just ate their rare meat and kept quiet. To the restaurant's credit, our server chopped twenty-five percent off the bill without us having to ask. It was a decent, quiet gesture. It acknowledged that the evening had gone entirely off the rails. Corinne clearly has potential. The location is great, the space is nice, and when the food actually makes it to the table, it's mostly quite good. I suspect we simply wandered in on a spectacularly bad holiday evening. Even so, a ninety-minute wait and some undercooked burgers are hard to ignore. I hope our night was the exception, but I'm not entirely sure I'd gamble my evening to find out.
