We have never eaten at a Zaxby's before and thought we would give them a try. We were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken wings and fingers lunch. It was a nice serving of three chicken fingers and six wings. Also came with seasoned fries, Texas toast, celery sticks and a drink of my choice from the electronic drink machine that has about 50 or more choices. The sauce on the wings made them very tasty and the dipping sauce for the celery and chicken fingers was also very good. The seasoned fries were some of the best tasting I've had. My wife ordered the chicken salad. It was a very generous portion and served with Texas toast. Also very tasty. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable. We will eat at one again for sure. read more

We went thru the drive thru last night. When we got to the window to pick up our food, NO ONE was wearing a mask! The employees teenagers) had their masks hanging below their chins. I asked the girl at the window why she wasn't wearing a mask. She said sometimes she just pulls it down. I'm sorry but that is not a good excuse. It is a state MANDATE that you have to wear a mask. When we got home, the salad we ordered had a WHOLE boiled egg & a WHOLE chicken breast on it. They did not bother to slice them like they are supposed to. Also, the girl at the window flung the bag with my order in it at me. She didn't say thank you or come back...nothing. Needless to say , I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS ZAXBYS!!! When hunger kicks in, this happened to be the spot to save the night. After a long day of driving all over creation with the girlfriend, we decided to come here. It was a Saturday night around 8:30-9:00 and the place was packed. I ordered my usual, the kickin chicken meal. The girlfriend ordered the BBQ boneless wings meal. The wait was kinda long but then again 10 people just ordered in front of us. We both agreed the food was extremely good. Maybe the best Zaxby's I have been to since I lived in NC. I absolutely love eating at Zaxby's. Amazingly seasoned fries, delicious club sandwich and a lovely restaurant. I also love the fact they have the newer electronic drink machines that let you pick whatever you want rather than being restricted to a few drinks. Every time I come here I get a club sandwich, it comes with tomato but I always take the tomato off because in my opinion their tomatoes are REALLY sweet and completely overpower the chicken. I'm giving it a 4/5 with my last visit the fries were soggy and I didn't take off the tomato so it tasted like I was eating a raw tomato but I went back a few days ago and it was superb. Since this location renovated, the food has gone downhill. We get buffalo blue salads. Hubby's barely had any lettuce. Mine had no sauce on the chicken. The chicken isn't cut through, so you end up with very large pieces. Not good for a salad. This has happened time after time. Sad as this used to be a favorite. read more

The service at this Zaxby's was probably the best I've ever received at a fast food restaurant. A group of about 10 of us stopped by for dinner before going to a haunted house. We went and sat down and they said they would bring us our food. They brought all of our food to us, as well as any condiments or anything else we needed. When we were done, they even offered to throw our trash away for us. I was highly impressed. read more

We eat here 3 times a week. The house salad with grilled chicken is fresh & very good. Every once in awhile we order chicken strips, which are also very good. The young people that work here are always very friendly & helpful. Yes I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a fresh salad or chicken strips & fries. Went on with some friends one evening and sat in the counter booth. The service was not good. The booth was was torn and coming apart. There food all down in the booth. The one napkin holder in the front was so dirty from people touching the side to get napkins. One heavy set late teen was walking around with a dirty bucket of water wiping down the tables. She left dirty all over the table. There was pretty much only teams running the place. The food was not good. I will never go back. One of the most filthy restuarant I have ever been in. The white heavy set girl walked around wiping the tables with dirty water and standing around talking with 2 African American teen customers and remove all of there used paper goods and took it to the trash for them, and continued to talk, hummm. The filthy made me sick. It was just gross. I am surprised no one has not died yet from the germ. Just gross. Clean up your store or close down. Where is the trained managers? WHAT A NASTY PLACE. This late dinner was a disappointment Ordered a Cobb chicken salad and iced tea. The tea tastes old not fresh brewed which is not a typical southern tea. The tea was filled with sugar, so my recommendation is to order half and half. In the salad the all the vegetables were either soggy or wilted. The tomatoes were not even red. I figured this regional chain would provide their customers with fresher ingredients. The chicken was flavorless and they specialize in that ingredient. I've been on the hunt to find a Zaxby's with a good customer service experience. I love Zaxby's food (so much), but it just seems like every Zaxby's I go to, I have a terrible customer service experience. Welp, I finally found one! This Zaxby's in Athens across from Walmart has finally given me the experience I've yearned for. The food was quick, and my chicken was fresh and hot. My boneless wings themselves were a great size - I feel sometimes they are way too small and can't be qualified as an actual boneless wing. But the portions were very sufficient here. The place was very clean and the team members were cleaning the glass doors and anything they could find while I was eating. They stayed busy and kept the place sparkling in between customers. The girl who brought out my food (Angel) even brought me a knife to cut my chicken with....I usually have to ask for a knife because they never just bring one, but she did - I thought this was very thoughtful and I appreciated it very much. It's the little things. As I ate, I observed all the team members. Angel served food to other tables and was very attentive, and respectful. I was impressed with her customer service. She said she was new. I hope she continues to have this kind of customer service and don't let the reputation of Zaxby's taint her natural talent. The cashier (a thicker older black lady) was not so friendly. She wasn't rude or anything but she wasn't what I would want or hope for in a cashier. Love Zaxby's. The restaurant is always clean and service is always good. Love that you can refill your drinks and don't have to wait on waitress. They bring food to your table. They have two large tables for family's with more than four people. We usually go on Sundays after church and they are busy, but the wait is never long. read more
