I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Zaxby's located at 3501 West Gate City Blvd in Greensboro. I ordered two Fried Cobb Salads, and both were clearly not prepared correctly and were missing ingredients. The food was untouched, and I returned immediately to request a refund. The manager on duty, Guadalupe, refused to issue a refund and became argumentative and unprofessional. She stated, "I don't have to do anything," and even said she would not refund me if I planned to file a complaint. I went inside to resolve the issue calmly, and she still refused. The situation escalated to the point where I had to call the police. Only after law enforcement arrived was I finally issued a refund. A simple customer service issue should never reach that level. This reflects very poorly on management and the overall operation of this location. I have formally escalated this to corporate and expect accountability. read more

Had an absolutely horrible experience at the Gate City Blvd Greensboro NC location of Zaxby's today. First we went in and there was water all over the floor pouring from the soda machine and no one seemed to be worried about it even after we let someone know about it, we were there for 15 minutes or more waiting on food and absolutely no one came to even look at it. Next we ordered a meal that clearly showed online "The Boozer Brothers Meal" but were told that they were not participating in it so why online does it have you as one of the locations. Then we finally ordered a wingz and things meal with Nashville hot sauce but when I got to work I had nothing close so I called the manager and she basically told me there was nothing she could do. The sauce was wrong and there were no wings so I believe they just gave me the wrong meal. In our cashiers defense the ticket was right which means the manager who packed it looked at our meal and still put it in the bag knowing it wasn't what was on the ticket This is a clear training issue and I understand why they are not busy on a Sunday afternoon if this is how they treat people. I arrived here around 7:20pm on a Friday evening to get some dinner for a friend and I. I placed the order via the app in the parking lot before going inside. We both got the big Zax snack meal with fries and bbq sauce. I got a large fry and extra seasoning, however. While waiting for the food, I got our drinks. I had to wait about 5-7 minutes for my food to be done. When I got the food, I really couldn't tell which plate had the large fries and which plate had regular, which is unfortunate. Despite their bad reviews, I decided to give it a try. Well my experience was better than what everyone else experienced. There were a few mistakes here and there but, they were quickly resolved. Their spicy sauce is not spicy. So I was a bit sad, since I really enjoy a little heat in my food! The service was pretty fast and although it is not mind-blowing chicken, mine was juicy and crispy! So not so bad. I've definitely had amazing chicken sandwiches and such, and although this one is not up there, it's convenient for when I'm running errands and need a quick bite. 7/10 read more

Wow, this place has the worst customer service in the food industry. They messed up three different things in a to go order. after getting back to work, and realizing all the items that were missing I called and asked to speak to a manager. She told me the only thing I could do was to bring the entire order back to the store and then they would correct the problem. I have never heard of this before. We simply wanted to be credited for the items the next time we visited the store. Needless to say, none of us will be visiting this location again. The big Zax snack is my favorite. Three strips, fries, and a slice of Texas toast. Serves with. Drink of chose and that delicious sauce. Yum yum, it's juT enough and not too much. I have went inside this location and through the drive in several times. There are a lot of college students that work there and they have alway been kind nice and respectful. I want to Specifically call that out because college kids get a bad wrap sometimes. So far I have had no complaints. They got our meal Wrong one time and the fixed it with no hassle. I am thankful for their consistency of service. My kids also live this place. Their favorites are the kiddie cheese. Zaxby club, and big zax snack. If your a salad person you should try the zap club zalad, it's a keeper as well! read more

I generally don't have high expectations when it comes to fast food chains, and this chain is the poster child for that kind of reasoning. The menu is rather limited, and all about chicken - on sandwiches, on salads, or on a plate. The chicken is pretty much tenders, either grilled or fried, or buffalo style wings, traditional or boneless. The traditional wing is the only chicken served here that is on the bone. So, this place serves fried chicken, but in a very limited form. We settled on the Grilled Cobb Zalad ($7.29), and while the grilled chicken is nice - moist with good flavor, and a reasonable amount of it - the remainder of the salad is rather short of a traditional Cobb - no bacon, no avocado, etc. The house Blue Cheese Dressing was ok, nothing super. The Finger Sandwich Meal ($5.99) was just a bad meal deal. The Crinkle Fires are those awful ridged, tastless things, made worse by undercooking, and then underseasoning. The tenders were not at all bad, but the sweetish Zaxby Sauce ruined them for me. The bun was not one I care for, and the "crisp" lettuce consisted of a single, limp leaf. So, I'd pretty much flip the Finger Sandwich. Don't see s a place we'd visit again. read more

I entered the restaurant just before noon on Saturday May 14. The cashier was wonderful and the food was awesome. My disgust came later while waiting for my family from finishing shopping at the shoe market on Market street/ Greensboro NC. 2 young ladies got up from break or were about to clock in- neither one washed there hands- Then 15 minutes while still waiting / one of the girls goes to the bathroom and comes out and does not wash her hands again. Now the manager just went to the bathroom- let's see what she's does , the manager definitely washes her hands. Obviously there is a training issue with the younger staff- Over all the restaurant is clean and runs efficiently. But hard to get over the possible germs that are the restaurant. Thanks read more

I don't understand what people like so much about Zaxbys. The chicken is nothing special at all, and it is pricier than other fast food chicken joints. I would much rather have some Bojangles or Chick Fil A than this. I've heard people talk about the Zax sauce like it is some kind of nectar blessed by each religious diety and destined to take its rightful place adorning chicken everywhere. I tried it... Quick review. Food good. On November 11 2020. Store manager Jill denied me the Veteran Day deal because I did not have an official Military ID. I served 14 year through Active/National Guard and Reserves. I had on me my verified North Carolina driver license with has the word "Verteran". I also had a copy of my DD 214 on me. Denied the food. Jill said that her boss stated that the ID has to be an official Military ID. Jill had an attitude about the whole situation. My guess also was she was only concern about the line of cars in the drive through. I went to another Zaxby's on Market and has no problem with my NC ID and DD214. Will speak with the Boss/Owner one of these days since the resteraunt is close to my house. read more

We got 2 house salads and they were good. The drink dispenser was in need of cleaning and some of the drink selections were empty. I got ice water - there was ice but the water dispenser didn't work. My husband said the bathroom needed to be cleaned. The women's bathroom had no toilet paper in the dispenser- just 2 tiny leftover rolls lying on top of the dispenser. One soap dispenser completely empty. Paper towel dispenser completely empty. Zaxbys has really gone down hill! read more

It's a step up from McDonald's... The grilled chicken is clearly processed too but it does fill a need from time to time. For our 9 year old, it's his favorite chicken. WAS TOLD THE OWNER WAS NOT HONORING ZAXBY'S TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK DEALS I was excited to see that Zaxby's was participating in Teacher Appreciation Week, only to find out when I went to the ZAXBY's located on New Garden Road, in Greensboro, NC, I was told that the owner had decided NOT to participate. I then called the Zaxby's located on Battleground Avenue and again was told their owner had chosen NOT to participate but that the Zaxby's located off Cone Blvd. was participating! I know of a person calling Zaxby's on Cone Blvd at 1:30 pm, Monday, and was told they were participating offering the Kicking chicken and fries FREE to teachers all week! When she arrived at 5:15 pm, Monday was told that they were NO LONGER offering free items to teachers. Instead, she was offered a 10% discount. How insulting! ZAXBYS HAS NO TEACHER APPRECIATION FOR TEACHERS IN GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA. I appreciate Zaxby's corporate making the offer but wish that the Zaxby's in Greensboro would honor it. read more

Good place for when you're craving fried chicken and tasty sauce. Always choose the drive-thru unless you have half an hour to kill in the restaurant waiting for food. Just make sure you enunciate well as the drive thru technology is lacking. I do find Zaxby's more expensive than something like Chick fil-A but I do like the zax sauce more. At least it isn't Bojangles or Popeyes. That stuff is just disgusting. read more

This location is great! I drive a bigger truck for work and I'm unable to go through the drive through. With most places short staffed some dining rooms are closed which is understandable. This location is allowing people in the doors to order food to go. Which is well appreciated in my field of work! I took my crew here for lunch and the staff was very nice. The employees here are some of the rudest and most unprofessional people I've ever met. Most of the time they stand directly behind the counter and gossip and goof around and ignore customers while they're standing there trying to order. The food is alright for fast food, but I'd probably never eat Zaxby's at all if it wasn't my husband's favorite and if it wasn't 3 minutes away from home. But it does outrank McDonald's and Wendy's, so it gets two stars for that. The real reason for this review is the service at this particular location. We just went through the drive-through for dinner as we were heading out of town for an hour-long drive. We ordered a finger plate and a finger kids meal with two ice waters. They told us that we could have one ice water for free (with the plate) but that they would have to up-charge the second one since the kids meal comes with a drink. We tried explaining that we wanted the regular ice water in place of the kid's drink, but they insisted they would have to charge us for a regular size drink if we wanted ice water with the kid's meal. I finally caved and got a kid's sized unsweetened tea. Unfortunately, that doesn't last long, and as I said, we had an hour-plus drive ahead. It shouldn't have even been a problem, since water is (supposedly) free at Zaxby's. They also failed to give us napkins, and the kid's meal was skimpier than usual. Overall, in satisfying service and a ridiculous policy that punishes customers who try to make healthier choices by ordering water instead of soda. read more

I've visited this location several times and I must say - if in the drive thru ALWAYS check your order before you leave. ALWAYS. Almost every time something has been wrong - whether the food or the drink. Today, I ordered the boneless wing meal. Silly me did not check until I got home. Surprise! When I got home I had regular bone-in wings. I do not eat bone-in wings. Checked my receipt, and was charged for bone in wings. I drove all the way back to the restaurant to correct my order. They took my messed up order back and had boneless wings made. When they handed me the bag I asked if I was going to get the price difference (almost $2) refunded, as I felt I should definitely get this since I drove all the way back. She told her manager (I guess?) and she walked over and took the new replacement order from in front of me and gave me a full refund. Didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. Since I left wingless and really wanted wings, I drove across the street and got some from Sheetz. Always check order accuracy!! And you could work on customer service & friendliness read more

I will not be dinning at another Zaxbys again due to their policy on charging for extra sauce. I ordered chicken fingers and fries and they only gave me one dipping sauce and was gonna charge .25 cents for additional. Now Im not cheap but for what i just paid for the meal they could of at least gave me one more sauce. That policy put me in a foul mood the rest of my dinner. I emailed my complaint and the manager called and left me a voicemail saying it was a corporates policy. Hopefully my complaint went to the corporate office and didnt just stop with the manager at that Zaxbys location. Zaxby's food service score of 95 immediately caught my eye. I am used to higher scores at Zaxby's. At any rate, I visited tonight with my two children. We ordered the Wings and Things and Kiddie Finger Kids Meal. It did take a while for the food to come, which was fine because it was all fresh. While we waited, we filled our drinks up at the skda machine. It was out of ice and there was a huge pile of water around the machine. Luckily, they had the wet floor signs up. I wish someone had just mopped this up. The drink station needed to be cleaned. It was rather Sticky in the area where you place your cup. The counter space was equally sticky and needed napkins and small cup lids. I had to go back to the front counter and request lids for our drink cups. Afterwards, the young Man who helped me did come and refill the lid area. He did not wipe the sticky counter down though. We got our ice out of the adjacent ice machine. Regarding our food, it was fresh and tasty. I just wish my fries had been cooked a little longer. The celery was fresh and crispy and the ranch was cold. Overall, we will visit again to this location. They just need to spend more time ensuring the dining area remains clean. read more
