    Hot Garlic Parmesan wings
    Ashlee J.

Be warned, there is not a place to sit down and eat your food, this is a carry out only spot. You can place your order online and the confirmation email will give you an estimated time on when your food will be ready. They were very busy so my wait time ended up being 15 minutes longer then quoted but the wings were fresh. I order sweet chili wings and hot garlic Parmesan wings. The owners were very sweet as I typed in the instructions I wanted 8 plain wings and it was missed. They caught the instructions after they made the order and placed 4 extra plain wings in the order; they were for my child so I was appreciative. Coming in second place were the hot garlic Parmesan wings. The wings were very tender and I need more sauce, wish I could've ordered extra! The sweet chili wings came in first place. They had the perfect amount of sauce on them and were very tender. Overall I would give them another shot but ask for extra sauce. Also, it would helpful if the number used for the business actually worked, I could've talked to them about the 8 plain wings that I needed ahead of the order being done. Overall, these are pretty solid wings, give them a try!

You have to order your food online and pick up only. The wait time was around 20 minutes and you receive an email when it's time for pickup. The BamBam Shrimp fries was my favorite part of the meal. The BamBam sauce was a nice mixture of tangy/sweet. I wasn't the biggest fan of the wings. They have many different flavors, so I will definitely try another flavor.

First off, this restaurant is inside of the City Kitchen building, and is not a stand alone restaurant. It took me a minute to figure that out. The food was excellent, I ordered straight from their Instagram website and my food was done exactly when they said it would be. Their Carolina Gold sauce is some of the best that I have had and their Garlic Parmesan fries and miles ahead of any other garlic Parmesan fries I've had. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, their wings and fries are some of the best in the Triad.

I'm always in the search for the next best wing. After discovering Big Daddy's on social media, I moved them up to the top of my list. Wings and fries.. say no more. This visit I ordered a trio of "flavas" -- lemon pepper dry rub, garlic parmesan and blazin sweet chili, as well as an order of loaded fries. I'm a sucker for a dry rub so Lemon pepper was definitely on my list. I like a nice balance of tart and salty, the rub was just perfectly in the middle. It can't get any better than a crisp wing and a tasty rub. Eager to try Cajun and the dry ranch next visit. Garlic parmesan came in third for me. This isn't usually my go-to flavor profile but I wanted to go outside my comfort zone. It's a beautiful sight-- something about the golden skin and yellowish sauce with bits of garlic every square millimeter. Again, not my choice of flavor but it's still very solid. Then my favorite, the one that stole the show-- Blazin sweet chili! This can easily be summed up as a sticky, icky flavor bomb. Perfect balance between sweet and spicy. Every future order will contain these, no question about it. The Bam Bam Shrimp fries were on point. Fries smothered with tempura fried shrimp, all covered in luscious "boom boom" sauce. Possibly the best sauce known to man. Not too sweet, not too spicy. My only wish is there was a common area to eat, as this food isn't really meant to travel far or wait to be eaten. Overall impressed, glad I finally stopped by.

    Great wings

Food what's great ready for Supper bowl. Looks as good as it tastes. I would use them again.

This is not only my top seafood boil bag place in the city butttt this is also where I go when I'm craving raw oysters like tonight. My hands are always messy here so I'm never able to get photos but I don't think I need evidence of the glutinous activities I divulge in here. Tonight I had a dozen and a half of oysters for my starter with garlic butter and lemon pepper boil sauce on the side & extra extra lemons and let me tell you they did not disappoint. They're usually bigger but it is winter so I won't complain. The bar is always hit or miss hence the missing star and tonight it was a miss for me. I order the gone fishing fish bowl and asked for extra sour it was extremely flat and felt like it was missing something. They definitely didn't add the extra sour either. I gave the drink to my companion as not to waste but it wasn't worth it. For my boil bar I had craw fish and green mussels in Gallic butter and Cajun hot with a side of rice and eggs. It was phenomenal per usual. Very consistent and delicious. The restaurant was great tonight. Friday. On the weekends it can get extremely loud when they are doing live music. Those are my least favorite nights. You have to yell over the music to hear the person right next to you. But tonight the music was at an appropriate volume. ( at the point when the boil came out my hands had oyster on them but it was amazing I promise )

Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. We've had incredible experiences at another Full Moon location. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. We ordered grilled oysters, a pound of shrimp (peeled and deveined), and a half-pound of king crab legs, items we're very familiar with and order often. The grilled oysters didn't seem grilled at all. They looked strange, had very little butter, and were almost completely flavorless. The shrimp was another letdown. It was under-seasoned, wasn't peeled or deveined as ordered, and was gritty. We also never received the corn that was supposed to come with the boil. We could have mentioned it, but by that point we were already so disappointed that we didn't bother. The king crab legs were clearly not fresh. The shells were so old and pliable that they bent instead of cracking properly, and the inner membrane stuck to the meat. We didn't eat it. They made another order which was the same. Our waitress said they don't receive orders for the KC often so they may have been old. Ummmmm! The service didn't help the experience. The staff seemed standoffish from the beginning. Our food was dropped off without any explanation or follow-up, and we had to ask for everything we needed instead of anyone checking on us proactively. However our waitress was happy to help us remove the crab from our bill and she was pleasant. We know this isn't representative of every Full Moon Oyster Bar because we've had fantastic meals at another location. That's what makes this experience even more disappointing. We were celebrating a special occasion and left wishing we had chosen somewhere else.

Between excellent service, from the host to the kitchen staff, and being a bright, cheery place decorated in a modern farmhouse feel (only complaint is the HARD seating), we love this place. The food is always delicious and seasoned perfectly with FLAVOR. For the appetizer, the Salad Pizza is absolutely scrumptious and was recommended by our server our first visit here last year. Honestly, it keeps bringing us back. The flavors are incredible. It has feta, mozzarella, topped with organic greens, shaved onions, tossed in a lemon/dijon dressing with shaved parmesan. It's a flavor bomb in the mouth. The meatloaf, is to die for. If you're a meatloaf eater this is for you. It's so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. Melts in your mouth and the sauce on top is the perfect blend of sweet and savory to top it off. For my two sides this time I chose the fried brussels sprouts and the greens. The greens are always seasoned perfectly and the brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. They tasted even better dipped in my meatloaf sauce so that was a win-win. My boyfriend had the special which was short ribs. For his two sides, he had greens and green beans. The short rib was perfectly tender and absolutely delicious full of flavor and moist for him. The green beans and the greens were also perfect as well full of flavor, just enough fat and butter. It's a great little date spot or a family dinner. They also have outdoor seating covered with umbrellas. There's a bar inside with a TV if you choose to go watch sports and the food here is always on point full of flavor and makes you want to come back and try more things on the menu. You can't go wrong at southern roots.

The sides were a standout, especially the Parmesan spaghetti squash, which I highly recommend. We had to put some extra salt on the sides, but that's purely personal preference. They also had several reasonably priced drink specials, which was a nice surprise. The service was amazing--friendly, attentive, and a big part of what made the meal so enjoyable. Overall, a really solid dining experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

I also tried their garlic parm boneless wings & they were so good. I loved how seasoned & salty they were, although they might be too salty for some people. I really loved it though! Their cocktail menu is also really interesting & creative. It's mostly whiskey of course but they do have other spirits. I tried the peanut butter & jelly Old fashioned and it was surprisingly delicious. It really did taste like a PB&J so I highly recommend. The inside is small but there's a nice outdoor seating area too. This really is one of my favorite places to get food in the area BUT the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because anytime I've been there remotely close to closing, they definitely let you know & make you feel rushed. I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. I've been there before just to have a few cocktails at the bar about 45 min before closing & had the same experience. I still really love this place & will keep going (but probably not within an hour or so of closing lol)

It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.
