    Mongolian beef
    Michael S.

We came in with a group of 8 celebrating a birthday. They were super accommodating and friendly. We put in our orders and the food just started coming out. I can't even list everything we ordered. I know I tried the following: Stir fry green beans Chicken karaage, Braised beef bun, Beef pan fried dumplings , Soup dumpling sampler, and the Mongolian beef. Everything was fantastic. The Mongolian beef, stir fry beans, and braised beef buns were by far my favorite. The beans were a perfect blend of salty and a touch of spicy. The Mongolian beef was a flavor explosion and may just be my favorite thing I ate. The Braised beef bun was mild and amazing and felt like biting into a cloud. There wasn't a single thing eaten that was not a home run.

First time here, first time trying dumplings. Atmosphere is bright, cheerful, relaxing Great background music. Service was very good. Our server, Tara was kind, and very attentive yet let us take our time exploring the menu and answered all our questions. Wished they had descriptions of what certain foods were instead of just pictures. We ended up googling a couple other things like Bao to see what they were. Food was very good. I had a spring roll, steamed vegetable dumplings and shrimp stir fry. The noodles in the stir-fry were thicker than pictured which was a little disappointing but it was flavorful. The dumplings were very tasty and cooked perfectly. The food came out quickly and hot. Only complaint there were no free refills on the green iced tea which was $4.95 (20 ounce). Overall it was very good and reasonably priced for portion sizes.

Fresh ginger with chili oil and soy sauce added. Go easy on the chili oil it's potent!

The restaurant is beautiful and clean. The staff were super sweet and professional. I ordered a brown sugar boba minus the boba. It's a consistency thing for me. It was pretty good and not too sweet. Beef pan fried dumplings, steamed signature bao buns and a scallion cake. The beef dumplings didn't taste or look like beef. They tasted and looked like pork. They had a soup consistency inside that I didn't expect. The bao buns also had a soup consistency inside. Neither had the usual amount of meat and stuffing that I'm used to. Unfortunately, the flavor didn't do it for me. I thought everything tasted mild from what I am used too. Lastly, the scallion cake was very thin. It lacked in flavor as well. They don't serve any type of dipping sauce with it so we dipped it in our soy sauce. I may try again as they've only been opened for a week. I'm curious about their noodles and other offerings and I loved the atmosphere and how kind the waiters were.

I was excited this spot was opening up nearer to my home. Decided to give it a try for lunch. The interior is beautiful. They have done a great job making it look welcoming. I started with Thai Tea. it was good. Needed some sweetening (in my opinion) as it was a tad bitter, but enjoyed it nonetheless. I started with Edamame and Pork & Shrimp Dumplings. Teh edamame was served hot with some salt (could have used more but none on table). The dumplings were served on a plate, no garnish, and no type of dipping sauce? I'm used to having some type of dipping sauce either offered or served with them. No one came by the table for me to ask for salt or sauce, so that was a bit disappointing as well. All in all, it was okay - rather $$ for a lunch for 1 ($25) that was so-so.

Soft openings always carry a little extra magic and after waiting for Zen Dumpling to land in Orange Park, getting to finally walk through those doors felt like a win for the whole local food scene. We started with drinks: Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba and Thai Milk Tea. Both smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. The kind of milk tea you can sip alongside a full spread without it overpowering anything. Then the food started rolling out fresh as it was ready, and honestly... every plate hit. The braised pork belly bun was easily one of my favorites of the night. It was tender, deeply flavorful pork tucked into a soft pillowy bun. Comfort food energy at its highest level. The pan fried Shanghai dumplings came out crispy on the bottom with juicy filling inside. That perfect contrast dumpling lovers chase. The signature pan fried bao brought that same golden sear and fluffy bite. And the shrimp and pork dumplings rounded everything out with classic, clean flavor done right. They're still in soft opening mode, but service was warm, food came out hot, and the experience already feels dialed in. This is exactly the kind of spot that deserves the community showing up early and often. Orange Park finally has a dumpling spot worth craving. And yeah... I'll absolutely be back. If you love dumplings, bao, milk tea, or just seeing new local spots thrive, go give them some love.

Beef soup dumplings that I might be willing to slap my mother to get again

First, my friends, run. Run, do not walk, and get here AS SOON AS YOU CAN! You MUST eat this food. Deeee-LISH-us. Newly opened and located on Wells Rd in Orange Park, this SIT DOWN restaurant has opened up the world of Dim Sum small plates to locals in a way that surprises. Savory, omg, so savory! We started with the Tapas: seasoned green beans tossed in the most amazing sauce and spices blend that was just heaven; it's Crack, my friend, you always want more. Mm, so good. We also had the sweet and sour ribs which literally tried to fall off the bone into our mouths. So tender, so well balanced, so rich. For dumplings, we selected beef soup dumplings (savory, god-given blessings), the beef pan fried dumplings, and the steamed bao. We chased our meal with hot sake, not officially on the menu but available (slightly pricier than competitors, be advised). The restaurant invites you to sit down and stay, why order out when you can enjoy offset and recessed ambient golden white lighting, green plants, orchids, and decor made of wicker steaming trays? They even have a "fishbowl" viewing window where you can plaster your face and hungry eyes on the wonderful staff making these edible treasures. It's so cool to watch! Highly recommended flavors and textures for the discerning dumpling enthusiasts!

Decided to try the new spot. Upon walking in it was very clean and everybody was very attentive. They even have a room where you can watch (thru window) employees hand making each dumpling! Shy was our server and she was EXCELLENT, very knowledgeable, patient, and willing to help us with decisions. Thank you for explaining what boba and lychee jelly are. The food was brought out by other servers who clearly stated what they were bringing to the table and whom were very kind. We started out with the Kirin Ichiban beer and a mango green tea. Delicious. Started with the spicy cucumber salad. It was cold fresh and had a nice kick. We then got the Soup Dumplings with chicken in them. OMG. They were hot, fresh and filled with the most delicious broth. Then tried the Beef Fried Dumplings. The crunch on the bottom of the dumplings was perfect. Ended with some stir fried noodles with chicken. They were just as delicious as the rest of the meal. Come check them out!!!

Still in the soft opening mood, but when you live in Clay County Food Desert, you have jump on the opportunity. New restaurant with clean decor and very attentive service and reasonable prices. This is a very good example of Soup Dumplings and other Dim Sum related dishes that are present with a sense of respect for the dish and its appearance was that of very up market Chinese restaurants. Star of the show had to be the Karage Chicken and the Soup Noodle sampler. Followed by the Dandan Noodles. The Beef Pancake I found to be too sweet and the pancake a bit chewy. Hopefully they will be successful and we will have to go across the Buckman to eat in these type of quality restaurants. I will return after 90 days to see if it is consistent in service and quality.

I was so excited when this location opened on the Westside. It was love at first sight the very first time I tried their dumplings at their Southside location. Im happy to say that their food is amazing. I love the decor here and they have kept the tradition of being able to see the dumplings made. Our customer service was top tier!

Wonderful dining experience!!! The food is spectacular and service is superb. I ordered the sampler and I'm glad I did. These included pork, crabmeat and pork, chicken, beef, truffle pork, shrimp and pork. The dumpling ingredients are so fresh and tasty. You can really appreciate how they stand out from other restaurants with dumplings.. this is definitely their forte! I especially loved the dumplings with spice, mixing equal parts of the table chili oil and soy sauce as dipping sauce. My other family members raved about their orders as well. Their portions were large; the pictures on the online menu made it seemed like they were smaller. The Mongolian beef was so tender and full of flavor. The braised pork belly flavor just hit that spot for me. The shrimp on the stir fried noodles were large and plenty. We were super impressed. Awesome all around!!!

You walk into zen dumpling and it is so cute! Immediately you're created by friendly staff. The steamers hanging are so cute. You can see the kitchen staff cooking through a window. You sit down and they give you a paper menu and you can pick what you want or you can scan a QR code to see the menu. We got the soup dumplings with beef, pork belly bao, fried gyoza, and sweet chili ribs. Absolutely everything was delicious! The dumplings and bao are so soft like little pillows. The flavors were amazing and the meat was so juicy. Can't wait to go back and try more food.

Let's start with the pros: 1. Some sustainability; I'm pretty sure the chopsticks are "reuseable," and the water cups are stainless steel instead of plastic. I'm not used to seeing these at Asian restaurants, let alone any restaurant. 2. Food was pretty delicious; I really enjoyed their noodles. The bok choy wasn't "bitter" which is something I frequently experience 3. Comfortable seating + super clean instead 4. The $3 Jasmine Tea is the WHOLE kettle. Thank God! 5. Boba teas weren't overly sugary and sweet. The prices were also not bad... I could see myself coming here for lunch with a friend and splitting something and a tea. But this place still needs some improvements... 1. Limited vegetarian options, and slightly "eh." The vegetables dumplings were a major let down. 2. Service could be friendlier. We came in almost 3 hours before closing and were polite, but our server seemed almost annoyed with us. I'd come back here again, however!

    K M.

Went here for the first time and absolutely loved everything. The service, food and how clean the restaurant was. Our server was Mark and he was very persistent on checking how we were doing. Would definitely come here again

Tucked away off Old St. Augustine Road in Mandarin, Lucky Cat Dim Sum serves some of the freshest dim sum in Jacksonville. Everything arrived steaming hot, a small detail that makes a big difference. Dim sum is meant to be eaten fresh from the basket, not after a leisurely stroll around the dining room. The classics were all excellent. The chicken shu mai were substantial, flavorful, and held together beautifully. The black pepper beef short ribs were fall-apart tender. The fried shrimp balls delivered the kind of crunch that announces itself before the flavor arrives. The barbecue pork bun was pillowy soft and packed with a sweet-savory filling that lingered long after the last bite. Dessert was equally successful. The mango mochi had the ideal chew and was loaded with chunks of ripe mango. The taro Lucky Cat bun, shaped like the restaurant's mascot, could have coasted on appearance alone. Instead, the filling was smooth, lightly sweet, and thoughtfully restrained. What separates Lucky Cat from every other dim sum restaurant in Jacksonville is its willingness to have fun. The menu is filled with East-meets-West creations that could easily become gimmicks in less capable hands. Everything Bagel Buns, Buffalo Chicken Buns, and other familiar flavors offer diners an approachable gateway into the world of dim sum. The standout was the Cheeseburger Shu Mai. It sounds like the sort of thing that should fail spectacularly. Instead, it works. Seasoned ground beef wrapped in a delicate shu mai wrapper and topped with melted cheese. The beef carried a bold Cajun kick, the cheese added richness, and somehow the whole thing remained balanced. It tasted far bigger than a single bite had any right to. I've eaten at every dim sum restaurant Jacksonville has to offer, and Lucky Cat stands at the top of the list. It delivers the classics with confidence while bringing enough creativity to keep even seasoned dim sum fans interested. The best dim sum in Jacksonville, and one of the most enjoyable meals you'll find anywhere in the city.

I always order a lot of dishes because I like what I like and I also know I'll have leftovers. I sent back the pan fried taro pudding because it was so bland and it didn't have many of the main ingredients in it. If it were there, it was so skimpy I didn't find any. (The Chinese sausage and dried shrimp) The pain fries soy sauce noodles were overcooked. It's suppose to be pan fried and it was not. Also very skimpy on the black mushrooms. Not very flavorful. The Steamed shrimp dumplings were mediocre. The skin was gummy and fell apart. The shrimp filling wasn't too bad. The shrimp with rice pasta was probably the best dish there. But it was still lacking in flavor. The steamed ribs with black bean sauce was very bland. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The braised chicken feet were over cooked. The texture was horrible like eating mush. The flavors were also off. The egg tarts looked good but the flavors again were off. Borderline going bad. It had that slight aftertaste of sourness. The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I wish I had seen the review that had a photo of the salt and pepper shrimp before I went because I would not have gone. Their salt and pepper shrimp is not authentic and I would have not gone and saved myself $80 for my lunch.

It definitely did it's job as a sampler because now we know we like all of their appetizers and would order any of them on their own in the future. I ordered Egg Drop Soup after that because it's a favorite of mine. I always add a little salt to their version of it but I add salt to a lot of soups so that may just be a "me" thing. I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once. She also had a lot to take home, so she's happy with that too. Thank you again to the person who posted about Peony in the group recently. We had a great lunch thanks to your reminder.

There are wanna be Chinese restaurants in The Villages but the food is Chinese-American and I would not even eat there or recommend them. Yummy House in Ocala was actually referred to us by the owner of Square 1 Burgers in The Villages, another fantastic restaurant but that's another review. Yummy House offers a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, and they also offer Dim Sum on weekends. The first time my spouse and I went there, we couldn't believe the choices. We used to always drive to Peter's Kitchen in Orlando but it was over an hour to drive there for us. Ocala was much closer and to be quite honest just as good as the restaurant in Orlando. Every dish I've ordered there has been out of this world. Which makes it so hard for me to choose my entrée. I do have a favorite server at Yummy House. His name is Ming. So, when I dine at Yummy House, I always ask to be seated at Ming's area. I also golf in Ocala which friends, about 8 to 12 of us. After golf, we normally have lunch together too. So, Yummy House is at the top of the list for us. When we do, I call the restaurant ahead to make a reservation and ask them to assign Ming to us. Ming always provides excellent service and especially with me being Asian, he kind of knows what type of dish I like and when I order a dish he will normally make suggestions to add to the dish or cook a certain way that knows I would like. He also makes suggestions to each person in our group and sometimes he'll tell them to try a dish that he's sure they've never had before. He tries to take them out of their comfort zone. They've always been happy with his suggestion. The restaurant itself reminds me of some of the Chinese restaurants I've been to that is not a fast-food restaurant. Very authentic inside. They also offer a beer called Lucky Buddha. I think everyone likes to order the beef because the bottle is in the shape of Buddha. Yesterday, we met friends at Yummy House who are visiting from Boston. Unfortunately, Ming was off and another server took care of us. He was a good server but just not like Ming who really goes out of his way to talk to you, joke and laugh. However, he was not a bad server but he was just there to provide server and do his job. So, I cannot fault him for that. So overall the entire experience yesterday was good. I highly recommend Yummy House if you are near the Ocala area and are craving for authentic Chinese food.
