Very late review but came here for Mothers Day when they first opened! We had Amy and she was so sweet and friendly! We started off with the scallion pancakes, which I had never had before. That was yummy! We then ordered the sesame sauce noodles, scallion oil noodles, dumplings, and soup dumplings. My absolute favorite was the sesame sauce noodles. Sooo yummy and not too heavy of flavor. Great amount! They have free refills for the noodles and it's just the noodles without the sauce but if you have leftover sauce you can put in there and mix it up. Had food delivered at work and Im SOOOOO excited there's a new Taiwanese style restaurant in Jacksonville!!! The braised pork rice bowl is just like how my grandma used to make it. Licious!! The side pork chop was a great deal at $7. It had a sauce on it so was soggy by the time I ate it, but it had great flavor and I would totally order it again when I dine in. The cold cucumbers weren't my favorite and I wouldn't order it again. It was too sour and flavors weren't seeped into the cucumbers (probably would be better if marinated for longer). I can see why everyone keeps coming back to Licious! I love the variety of noodle dishes, there's something for everyone! And I've been told you get free noodle refills. (although the original serving is pretty filling in my opinion). And the food comes out pretty quickly. The Hot & Sour glass noodles were so good. The broth was delicious. Definitely more sour than hot, and the ground meat and peanuts really took it to the next level. I do wish the noodles were chewier, but it wasn't soggy or too soft by any means. The pan fried pork buns were really good too. The meat was really flavorful, and the bottoms were crispy without the bread being too thick or hard. That being said, I thought the inside was be a little moister/juicy. And the top of the buns were kind of wet. I would still order again though! read more

I'm a bit of a noodle snob, because my favorite Chinese restaurant back in Atlanta had the most amazing hand pulled noodles (Lan Zhou), but Licious is a solid option here. Start with the cucumber salad, because the cilantro and garlic slathered cucumbers will get your taste buds watering. Next, get an order of dumplings. I've tried 3 varieties so far and all have been delicious. Then, it's noodle time! If you like it spicy, the Yibin Spicy Dry Noodles are excellent! If you prefer something milder, but still flavorful, try the scallion oil Noodles. The Chinese ladies that work there are so sweet and will take good care of you. It's a pretty casual vibe, with what look to be recycled OJ containers for water pitchers at each table, but it's clean and they have plenty of parking. read more

We have Visited Licious twice already and had great experiences both times. We have tried their House Special Tossed Pork Wontons, Soy Braised Duck, and Pan Fried Pork Buns for appetizers and all were delicious and will definitely order all of them again. For the main dishes, Sesame Sauce Noodles, Sichuan Style Beef Noodle Soup, Braised Ground Pork and Pork Chop Over Rice were the dishes we have ordered and they were all tasty and satisfying. The only slight drawback was the beef noodle soup. It was good but I've had better versions elsewhere. Overall, fast service, great food and affordable prices! I wanted to try this place, and the first time I went, they were closed. I didn't realized they were closed from 3p-5p. When I was with my grandma and aunt, we decided to come back here again during opening hours. The parking lot is small, but finding a spot was no problem. The place is modern, clean, and welcoming. We ordered the chilled sesame chicken noodles, pork chive dumplings, dumplings in a chili sauce, and house fried rice. Chilled sesame noodles - 10/10 it was my favorite dish out of all the dishes we tried. The flavors were on point, very refreshing, not too heavy, delicious and just perfect on a hot summer day Dumplings in chili sauce - 8.5/10 my second favorite dish. The chili sauce upgraded the dumplings. The inside was moist and tasted great. I felt like the wrapper of the dumpling was a little thick for me. Pork chive dumplings - 6.5/10 these were decent. Not my favorite but alright. Again, I felt like the wrapper was thick and the flavor was ok House fried rice - 6/10 I've had better fried rice. After keeping an eye on the latest noodle shop, Licious, on Southside Blvd that recently opened, of course we had to try them out. So glad we decided to try the fried pork dumplings as a starter; they were delicious! We were surprised how stuffed they were with the pork stuffing; this was a meal in itself. Next came the Thai red coconut curry seafood noodles. I was expecting a small bowl of soup, but was pleasantly surprised how big the noodle bowls are, with lots of seafood and plenty of your choice of noodles. Wow!! Outstanding new restaurant! Every dish was excellent, but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the pan fried wontons. The noodles were a close second. Or maybe the soup dumplings. Szechuan chicken - we ordered it extra hot. It was hot. It was great 9/10 Chili wontons - very mild, but would order again 7.6/10 Woodear mushrooms - absolutely delicious 9/10 Spicy soup dumpling - great taste when fresh 8.5/10 Chive pork shrimp dumplings - distinct chive flavor. Get again. 7/10 Shaved ice dessert - I mean how can you not liked shaved ice 9.5/10 Overall Licious is a nice addiction to Jacksonville. Went on Tuesday afternoon. No wait. Place was clean and food was great. I didn't know which hand pulled noodle I wanted to try and our waitress said I could try another type of if I asked. Overall I would say the food is very delicious. We got different appetizers and two entrees. The pork wonton dumplings and the steamed pork buns were very flavorful and were moist. I tried the new restaurant, Licious Noodles & Bao on Southside Blvd last week. Wow! Best regional-style Chinese food I've had in Jacksonville. The place was very clean (almost to the point of being sterile) with a sleek, modern vibe. The music sucked but the food was great! I had the pan fried pork buns and the Yibin spicy noodles. The buns were large and cooked to perfection with a huge, subtly seasoned pork meatball sealed within an impeccably executed bun. Crispy on the bottom, soft and succulently delicate on top, garnished with scallion slices and black sesame seeds. I like that they keep the traditional Chinese black vinegar on the table to go with these, too. The noodles were terrific I asked for them extra super spicy with lots of hot Szechuan peppercorn and they DID NOT mess around! Even the places I used to eat at in Manhattan would always wimp out in the spice department when a white boy like me would come in and ask for extra spicy but these guys made it absolutely on-point. The noodles were thin and very long and were cooked to perfection. The preparation was complex tasting and the noodles dressed just right. The service was great and my waitress was very kind, good natured, funny and polite. I used to have to go all the way to Gainesville to get decent Chinese food at Sohao Café but not anymore! I sincerely hope that Licious lasts in Jacksonville a good long time. P.S. - I just HAD to go back again before I left town. Got the hot & sour glass noodles and the spicy beef & tripe. Went to dinner with a friend and was pleasantly surprised! It wasn't busy at all, we were seated right away. Wow first time at this newly opened dim sum spot on the Southside, and it was a hit for our family! We loved everything we ordered. A much needed addition to Jacksonville's lack of Chinese restaurants! I waited until visiting this restaurant three times before writing a review. The first two times were during the opening weeks so there were a lot of items unavailable, but during my visit today they were able to provide everything we ordered. Although there are not a lot of vegetarian options on the menu, they are accommodating to make changes. I always remove the meat from the noodle dishes and replace it with tofu. Everything I've ordered from here was delicious, and one of my favorites is the Sesame sauce noodles. Beautiful restaurant and great service. Highly recommended. read more

One of the finest Chinese restaurant in Jacksonville I must say. Me and wife went to this restaurant for our lunch date. I must say I had very minimal expectations as there are very less vegetarian options but I was blown away by the options that was created even if it was not on the menu. Our server went above and beyond to help us pick right dishes we both thoroughly enjoyed. For appetisers we had crispy fried tofu and scallion pancake which was nice and delicious. For entree my wife had the veggie dumplings and I had their veggie thin noodles which was mouth watering. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant. Came here for Mother's Day dinner. We got seated right away. Our server was very nice. Our food came pretty fast. We had fried pork chop, Sichuan beef & tripe and spicy wings for starters. For our mains we had chicken soup dumpling, Yibin spicy noodles, scallion oil noodles, braised pork rice bowl and crispy chicken cutlet. The stars of the show were the fried pork chop and spicy beef & tripe. The kids just went to town with the pork chop. It was fried to perfection and the meat itself was tender. The beef and tripe was not too spicy and was very flavorful. The noodles were not bad either. Our least favorite were the rice bowls. There was something about the texture of the rice. It's almost like sushi rice but not. A little hard to describe. Just a bit on the mushier side than I prefer. The dumpling was decently tasty as well. We also had a couple of their house made juices - one mango and one lychee. They had real chunks in them and you can pick the level of sweetness. We picked 50% for ours and they were just perfect! The place itself had easy parking area in a small strip plaza. Inside is small but cute and clean. Overall, it was a pretty good no reservation required dinner. Really delicious food and reasonable prices for such good quality. We had the pork soup dumplings, dry spicy noodles, pan fried dumplings, and mango snow - so fluffy and soft, not too sweet. The wrapper on the pork soup dumplings was very thin and the filling was so juicy. The dry spicy noodles had the perfect amount of numbing Sichuan pepper - not too overwhelming and very flavorful. I would absolutely go again. My family is a little bit demanding, but the waitress was patient and helpful. I was so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint. The decor was lovely, overall vibe was very bright and airy. Staff were all incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. Happy to answer any questions we had and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the marinated wood ear mushrooms, the zhong pork dumplings, scallion oil noodles and the spicy tangy beef chilled noodles. Every single thing was delicious and exceeded expectations (which were high!). At the end we had a specific dessert in mind from a picture but couldn't recall the name, after describing it to the waitress she helped us figure out what we were thinking of, so we had the Mango Sago and it was sooo yummy. We ate quite a bit and nothing felt too heavy or greasy at all. We will be returning with friends for sure, there are lots of things on the menu we still need to try.
