Love this local nail spa! It's clean and super comfortable. The owner and other staff are friendly. They usually offer you a small cup of water and have gentle music in the background. I like to call ahead to make my appointment to be sure they have someone available, but they have been great at accommodating walk-ins when they can. Parking is easy, and the area's safe. I've only done mani's here so far but the location, price, and excellent attention have made me want to get a pedi very soon! read more

Pros: Conveniently located near home in a tucked away shopping center. I never had to wait very long and Ann is great at listening to what you want when it comes to shape, length, style, etc. I only had to tell her once and she remembered. The shop is quiet and soothing if you're looking to relax (almost too quiet) and there is a great selection of shellac polishes. Polish lasted about 2 weeks without any lifting or chipping. The best part is that it is VERY clean and prices are competitive especially for the neatness of the shop. Cons: It is hard for them to accommodate walk-ins or add-ons because there are not very many women there. It is best to book an appointment specifically for what you want so they can plan accordingly. They also take their time in most things so if you are in a rush you might want to opt for a simple mani. My mom tried some of the other women there but they could not file her nails straight. They do a great job and the service is consistent no matter who takes care of you... The one negative is that they contrary to what the profile says do not take walk ins. I have been there many times when walk ins have come in and they have asked them to come back or make an appointment. Today I walked in to an empty the salon which was completely empty with 3 technicians there doing nothing and they said do you have an appointment I said.no they said can you come back I said you are empty they said but we have appointments coming in at 2;00 I was there at 1:40 ,, did not ask what I. Needed maybe they could manage a simple pedicure.... They get 4 stars I understand not over booking but you don't have anyone in your salon and you turn down customer not good! read more

Meh, not my cup of tea. Maybe I'm just used to being spoiled at my normal haunt and this is the price I pay for cheating! I really needed a pedi and didn't want to drive the 20 mins to my normal salon, so I looked on yelp and came across this place. It was super clean inside no problem there, and the color selection wasn't too bad. My main problem was the interaction with the workers was super awkward. My tech didn't talk, at all! I'm ok with not chatting the whole time, but it would be nice to acknowledge my presence. The massage chair to me was uncomfortable and kind of painful so I didn't really use it. My pedi also got rushed because of a walk in (I had made an appointment), which was not cool to me. Overall the pedi wasn't bad I loved the color, but then again I picked that out. Would I go back? No, why pay $23 dollars for a mediocre pedi, when I can spend less and get a hot stone massage?! read more

Great experience overall at my first visit for the pedicure. Compared to other busy stores, they do spend time on your nails with diligent work done, making sure you get out with great cares. Thought it's couple bucks pricier than other store but you get what you paid. read more

My wife talked me into a Mani Pedi which was quite a treat but what I really liked was the Pedicure part with the massaging chairs and the fact that their prices seem very low for the amount of work they do. The place is clean and bright with some Asian background music I fell asleep getting my second pedicure. A foot and lower leg massage is also part of the pedicure which I didn't know because I had never had one before this year. I will be going back I recommend calling first on a Friday or Saturday as they are quite busy on those 2 days. read more

I can't believe I have lived here for so long and never knew about this gem. For a business to survive Covid is really hard, and Diane did it with a lot of grace. The spa is very clean. She was playing lovely music and there was a breeze coming through the open door. I was the only person there and Diane took lots of time with me. She clearly cares about her customers. She was gentle and careful. I got a beautiful gel manicure and pedicure. Parking was easy in the little lot. It could get full during dinner with the restaurant there, but you could park on the street. I will definitely be coming back, and this will be my new go to place. read more

So I talked her in to giving the nail spa a try and she is quite happy. No soaks, no nail polish---just nail trimming. This nail salon is beautiful and clean inside. The salon's atmosphere was tranquil so true to a spa environment. I received great service, ice water with orange slice, fruit trail mix as a small snack. This salon does not skimp on service or attention to detail. They welcomed me with warm greetings and pampered me the entire time. The massage part of the mani and pedi felt wonderful. The manicurist helped me pick out a color and her choice suited my complexion perfectly. I'm not one to Yelp a review but they deserve 5 stars! Make an appt because there aren't a lot of people on staff for walk ins BUT its totally worth it. And not a heavy staff means more time to relax and less talking between them. You don't get that feeling like they're talking about you. They did a good job on my nails. I have tiny fingers so I know it can be hard to make them look good. LOVE my toes. They even give you a glass of cucumber lemon water with some snacks. I saw reviews here on yelp and was curious to try this place because it had really positive reviews. I gave a shellac manicure a try and I was pleasantly surprised! The facility was very clean and new. It was a relaxing environment and the staff was very nice. $28 for a shellac manicure and $23 for a normal pedi. Very fairly priced at good quality. This has always been my go-to nail salon for the past half decade. Nicely ventilated, well lit, good customer service, friendly staff. I should have written a review when Ann was the owner. The store just recently changed ownership from Ann to a young opinionated woman. Ann is still working here, but is no longer the owner. If you're able to have Ann do your nails, you can still ensure the quality of the manicure/pedicure, but the owner herself talks a big talk but does a less than stellar job. She talks down at customers and boasts that she's the best around. Their new hires since the change in ownership is also not at the previous level of quality. read more

We waited about 15 minutes after our apt time to get sat in the pedicure chairs, which was okay because we had to pick our colors. The pedicure itself was cheap, but you get what you pay for. However, I even looked at the menu and was thinking about getting an upgraded pedicure, but before I could even say that, it was already too late. There was no hot stones, barely a massage and that was about it. I walked out with crooked toe nails, a crappy polish job, and a really quick pedicure I wish I didn't have to pay for. The new owner uses inferior products, Ann is still there, but the product she is now required to use are terrible. My mother and I have been going there for years, this is the first time the gel flaked off so consequently the rest of the nail came off. i walked in and immediately saw the lady with the scowl. i had to laugh out loud because she's been mentioned in the reviews and they were all true. there were two ladies manning the store who were working on two customers and had me make an appt and come back in an hr i feel bad for the smiley lady tho, imagine all the extra kissing up smiley has to do to make up for all the business scowl drives away. i came to a nearby coffee shop to kill time and start this review :) --- Well lo and behold I was assigned to Scowl's chair. This place is fantastic! I was in town visiting my parents for just a couple of days, and reaaaaally wanted/needed a pedicure. Not knowing much of anything about the South Bay nail salon scene (other than that it's noticeably more expensive than in San Francisco, where there's far more competition to keep prices low), I chose Zen Nail Spa solely based on Yelp reviews... I was not at all disappointed! The salon is very clean, the staff members are incredibly nice, and my toes look fantastic! The woman who did my pedicure took her time, gave me a most fabulous leg massage (a dying art in the nail salon business, it seems), and checked/cleaned up my toes several times to make sure that the polish was perfectly even and smooth. Although the pedicure cost $23 (about $8 more than I paid at my local nail salon when I lived in San Francisco), I know this is a very fair price in the South Bay AND the workmanship is superb. I will absolutely only come back to Zen Nail Spa when I'm visiting California and in need of a pedicure! read more

I have been going to Zen Nails since it opened, several years now. This place is absolutely amazing!! I used to drive over this hill from Santa Cruz every 2 weeks to get my fill when I moved over there for a couple years. It's that good. The ladies are all super nice and really listen to what you want. I like my gel sets to look really natural, and Hannah does an amazing job doing exactly that. I leave with nails looking like fabulous versions of what could be my real nails. The salon itself is clean, quiet, relaxing, and well appointed. It also smells great and well ventilated which you can't say for a lot of nail places in the south bay.
