She gave me a bite of each and they were both awesome. The sides were very good as well....Onion Rings, Mashed Potatoes, and Asparagus is what we ordered for the table. Out of the 3, my favorite was the Onion Rings....they're thick and juicy and cooked perfectly...slight crunch and easy to bite through....a perfect side to my Steak. The service here was excellent....above average. The prices here are pretty high, so make sure you're ready to spend some dough....think Mastro's and Dominick's type pricing. While the food is good, the ambience and atmosphere doesn't come close to those 2 places....but I guess for Flagstaff it would be comparable, I don't know. The nightly special was prime rib and it was certainly special. I felt like we should be celebrating an occasion instead of just Wednesday. The piece was huge, cooked medium rare as requested and served with ample mashed potatoes and vegetables. Our waitress was attentive but unobtrusive. Ok, so I left some of the veggies in favor of that gorgeous hunk of meat, but I also wanted to leave room for dessert. My husband and I tried to share an obscenely delicious pyramid of chocolate decadence. Unfortunately, we were both so stuffed we didn't make much headway before we decided to waddle off to our room. Unprofessional service At Zenith restaurant. . Would not recommend. We were seated but the hostess never actually spoke to us. The server, ?Nai from California, took our drink order. He came and served our drinks and took our food order. As he was about to walk away he said "I think you should order an appetizer because we have two large parties ahead of you." He then gave me an estimate of 30 minutes and I said that was fine. He then got annoyed and said "...or longer." If Nai didn't want to serve us, he could have just said that. After spending time in the casino, we decided to see if we could get some food at The Zenith Steakhouse. We were able to be seated immediately. I have eaten at the restaurant in the past and as always, the food was amazing. I had the special which was a New York Strip. It was cooked medium well and very juicy. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were very delicious as well. I did notice that the prices had increased from the last time we were there, but it was not unreasonable. Everything has gone up in today's times. The wait staff were very friendly and they were working hard to get everyone taken care of promptly. Great atmosphere where you don't feel like you are being pushed out of the restaurant so someone else can sit down. Great time to visit with others at your table and enjoy your meal. Job well done! Wonderful steakhouse with excellent staff. Was a bit surprised just how good this place was. Calamari was done just right. Salads were tasty and just right amount. I had a 6 oz. filet mignon and it was cooked PERFECTLY. Baked potato was huge and the creamed spinach was excellent. My wife had the duck confit and it was superb. We have eaten here several times, but since the reopening the menu has changed and was not very good. The NY strip I had could not of been worse, It was small and tough. The prime rib was just so-so. I've been here 3x in my life time. The opening of the casino, my birthday of this year, and very recently yesterday for my 4 year wedding anniversary. I am very pleased to say I was not disappointed at all three experiences. Mind you the entrees are not cheap in the lease but it is most definitely worth it. I've yet to try the seafood but oh my god the meat is super satisfying. Their wine selection is also very good. I enjoyed the house cabernet. I plan to make this my go to place for every special occasion. I would also like to compliment the staff as they were very attentive and very considerate to acknowledge our celebrations as we enjoyed, (we being me) a complimentary desert for both my birthday and my 4 year wedding anniversary. We had an amazing experience at the Zenith! We came here for the casino and as we arrived they told use about the free wine tasting from 5 to 7pm. The free wine tasting was fun, and the restaurant is really nicely decorated. After the wine, we had a few crab cakes and decided to stay for dinner. They steak was epic! Grass fed beef that's been dry aged for 35 days! The crab cakes were awesome, the salads were awesome, the desert was awesome! We also tried the mashed potatoes and the mushrooms, everything was prepared extremely well. We will definitely be back! The food was amazing and the portions were huge! In addition, they had a great wine selection and the wine was fairly priced. My recommendation would be to come here at 6, enjoy the wine tasting and have dinner. We made a last minute decision to stay at the Hotel this is attached to while on our road trip. We decided to have dinner and chose Zenith. The staff were all very nice and we were seated immediately. We ordered cocktails while we looked over the menu. The Manhattan we ordered was made beautifully by our awesome waitress. We decided to indulge since it was my husbands birthday soon and he just won a competition that weekend. He got the Long Bone Steak which was cooked perfectly. I got the French onion soup which was divine. The sides are huge and meant to be shared. We got the lobster Mac and Cheese, garlic Mashed potatoes and Asparagus. All were cooked perfect and so tasty. We had plenty to take with us after. The manager and Chef walked around to make sure everyone was happy with their meals. This is one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time! They also have an extensive wine list with very well priced wines. We happened to be there on a day that bottles were 1/2 off. So of course we had to get one! read more

Surprisingly upscale restaurant in an even more surprising location. Just a short drive, maybe 20 minutes, from Flagstaff, at the Twin Arrows Casino is this gem of a steakhouse. There bar is full, there service is excellent and the meal is divine. Not anything to complain about at all. The one thing that personally throws me off a bit is the exposure of the kitchen to the dining room. I'm sure there's a logic to it, like you can see the chefs working away creating these culinary masterpieces, but it clashes with the environment if you ask me. We also took our three young children (ages 5 and under), not something you'd normally do when going to a fine dining establishment but such was the case for us. They were so accommodating, and though it wasn't printed, offered us a kids meal and offered to alter a few of the normal menu items to suit tiny pallets. They didn't scoff at the fact that we had kids in tow and were so kind to us as family diners, something I think is quite a bit superior to other fancy schmancy places. I would definitely recommend Zenith for a date night or special occasion and if you had to do a family dinner, it would be more than okay too. read more

The flavor was good, but the tenderness was to be desired. Overall, it was a great experience worth four stars, but I would choose another entree next time. (However, something to consider. Went here the other night to celebrate my recent engagement with my fiancé. We stated in the reservation that we were celebrating and the hostess asked us when we walked in if we were celebrating, but they did nothing to celebrate with us which was quite disappointing. Most fine dining restaurants do at least a little something to celebrate with you, but it seems that they just ask for no reason. We've stayed at Twin Arrows several times and wanted to try Zenith. We were a bit underdressed but felt comfortable in the warm and romantic lighting. I had the short ribs and my hubby had the crab legs. We had to try the green bean casserole and it is NOT your gramma's casserole. An upscale version with luxurious sauce. My hub ate all the crab, used his hands the whole time! Oh well. The short ribs were over polenta and with lovely colorful veggies, not the usual, some broccoli rabe and other beauties. I never wanted to try polenta, but this was wonderful. We ate too many bits of bread before dinner ....so we could not finish it all and reluctantly said no to dessert. We had water, but they have a nice wine list. We will go again! The service was just right, not clingy but everyone made sure we had what we needed. Lovely surprise when you're in northern Arizona. My husband and I stayed at Twin Arrows for one night during a road trip. In that one night, we had two experiences at Zenith. First, because we were staying at the hotel, there was a complimentary wine tasting. The night we were there, they had Stags Leap wines. I tried three varieties and the server was kind and welcoming and not at all pushy to buy more glasses of wine. Honestly, his pours were so generous I didn't need any more! It was Father's Day and the manager told us we would need a reservation, and the earliest we could get one was 8:30pm. When we arrived a bit early for the reservation, we were surprised to see that the restaurant was nearly empty. Our server was kind and had a good sense of humor, which I apreciated. We ordered a wedge salad, the short rib, and macaroni and cheese to split. It was so much food! The salad was fine but not great- bland blue cheese dressing but crisp and fresh produce. The short rib was the highlight- tender falling apart meat, savory sauce and tasty polenta. I wished the vegetables were softer but they were ok. Honestly, we barely touched the Mac n cheese. We were super full and it was not good enough to eat if we weren't hungry. Mac n cheese had bacon and was really smoky- it's definitely a grown up version and anyone under 12 years old will definitely hate it. We left without finishing our meals and were really full. I cannot imagine how people finish the giant steaks they serve! Overall- good service, great wine tasting, too big portions, and decent food. An absolute amazing experience from the service to the ambience of the restaurant. And the food was great! We had the pork belly and oysters for appetizers. The pork belly just melts in your mouth and the oysters were more fresh then anywhere I've tried before. Also, we had their Navajo raised ribeye for entrees and it was cooked a perfect medium rare and could be cut with a butter knife- simply the best meat one could ask for and beyond delicious. The sides are a healthy portion and were perfectly seasoned (we had the grilled asparagus and fries). You HAVE to try the banana cream dessert. Made with scotch and out of this world! Updating my review on this place. I travel through the area every week and always stay at the twin arrows casino and have dinner at zenith. Steaks are usually average but not great for a "prime beef" steakhouse. Tonight I ordered the long bone ribeye and was very disappointed. It was waaayy over cooked not to mention under seasoned and little if any sear on the steak. The biggest disappoint was that the manager didn't even come by and ask me about the issue even though the waitress notified him and the "chef". Both the manager and hostess came up to grab menus to take back for another party, and didn't even acknowledge us. We were finally seated, and it took 20 minutes for the server (who said she would be right back 10 minutes before) to take a drink order. Our appetizers came out 30 minutes after we ordered them (a seafood tower that was skimp on everything), and our steaks came out small, overcooked and cold. Our new favourite restaurant in Flagstaff. We will be dining here often. My husband and I are an older couple with disposable income, so, have no qualms about dropping dough for fine dining. Is the Zenith expensive? Yes. Is it worth every penny? YES! The ambience is lovely... quiet with dim-lighting. The music is of the Frank Sinatra era, but low... in the background where it belongs. The staff is warm and welcoming... bending over backwards to make your experience one to remember. The food is just to die for. I had the French Onion soup which is the BEST I've ever had anywhere, (southern Calif, Las Vegas). My husband had the Beef Barley soup and that was just as delicious. We then had the Crab Cake appetizer. OMG... again the BEST we've ever had anywhere. Blows the Cottage Place and Josephine's crab cakes out the window. They're gonna have to up their game to compete with the Zenith. A HUGE crab cake with HUGE lumps of crab, (not all mashed and shredded like most places), and a flavour to die for. My husband got his with the Spicy sauce it's served with, but I asked for their Remoulade sauce instead. Both sauces delicious. Next, a Wedge salad, (whose presentation is just spectacular), and a Caesar salad for me, (with a dressing that was oh-so-subtle and oh-so-delicious). My husband had the Kobe Short Ribs for his entrée... melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. I had the Double-Cut Pork Chop that came with an Apple Gastrique, and can't begin to express how sublime this dish was. For dessert, we both had the Tahitian-Vanilla Crème Brulee... 'silk' is the best word I can use to describe the texture. The flavour? Nothing short of fabulous. I do have to say something about their 'sides'. First, the portions are HUGE. Each one can easily feed 2-3 people. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were very good. But the Mushrooms and Brussel Sprouts we ordered were less than expected. They had little flavour and the texture of both dishes was 'tough, chewy'. These need improvement... better recipes and/or cooking methods. But, overall, the Zenith is a total gem... a restaurant we will frequent often. Bring plenty of money, then, forget about the cost and just enjoy the fabulous food... you won't regret it. read more
