If I could give this shop more than 5 stars, I would! I called last Wednesday to see if I could take my car in for an oil leak inspection. When I arrived to the shop I was helped out by Nitish. I waited in the lobby area while he took a look at my car for me. When he detected the problem, he came and got me from the lobby to show me where the leak was coming from and thoroughly explained the issue and what would need to happen to fix it. For one, I have never been to an auto shop where a mechanic has shown me what the issue is. Secondly, I've never been to a shop where the mechanic DIDN'T try to pressure me into fixing a ton of other crap (I have a 97 Corolla so she definitely has other things that could have been pointed out to repair). I've been charged thousands of dollars for repairs, so I was nervous while I waited for him to get me a quote. When he showed me the quote, I was blown away. Affordable pricing! Was able to get my power steering pressure hose replaced, and an oil change for less than $400. One of the most nerve wracking things as a woman with little to know knowledge on car stuff, is going to an auto shop alone. Nitish definitely made me feel comfortable during the entire process. Very good experience with Zip In Auto, and that's the place to go for my next car service! Usually it's hard to find a reliable car shop that you can trust, I feel this is the place. My case is, my driver side rear window can't be up. Originally went to another shop, did the diag, but claim no parts, and can only pay extra expense to get the part quick. and asked me to buy my own, but then gave me another price with no diag discount as promised earlier. Then I go to yelp again, find Zip In Auto, thanks for all the previous reviews and I felt comfortable. I talked to Nitesh, reasonable price, everything is up front, used my part. I am so glad that I found Zip in Auto. My check engine light came on. I stopped one place and was told the could not repair the car. They did however recommend Zip in Auto. They called for me! The owner, Nitesh, got me in right away! It turns out I had cylinder 1 & 3 misfire. Reasonably priced. It turns out I came when they were stopping for lunch. The owners wife invited me to join them!! After getting stuck at a stoplight in Los Gatos JUST LAST NIGHT with what turned out to be an alternator problem, my truck was towed to Zip In Auto per the recommendation of the tow truck driver. I was skeptical of course. I texted the owner, Nitesh around 9:00 AM just to touch base. I didn't expect in anyway to get a response on a Sunday morning but he almost immediately got back to me and long story short, by 2:00 my truck was fixed and ready to roll. Great service. Very professional and honest. My car had a scraping noise coming from the engine bay, and after a previous mechanic mis-diagnosed this several times, I gave up on them and went to Zip In. Previous mechanic's latest guess was that the water pump was at fault, which I let the folks at Zip In know. Every part of my experience with the Zipin owner tells me that this is an honest establishment that built their business on the attitude of "treat the customer right and they will return". Called late in the day requesting diagnostics for a funky noise. They were able to fit us in within minutes and got to work looking for the problem. After a short stay they were unable to find the cause of my noise and did not charge me for the work. Additionally, my rear tires were close to bald - but the owner didn't try to sell me on his tires - he knew my fronts were from Costco and he recommended I return to Costco to have all my tires under the same return/warranty/service coverage. When I have a mechanical problem in the future or if the noise gets worse I will be coming back to this shop. read more
