Ok, so everyone here is absolutely raving about this company, saying it's "top notch". Well, I'm very glad those people had those experiences; however, that was not the same experience for me. On Sunday, 8/8, the alternator in my '92 Ford Tempo died - it's an old car and these things happen. It's stressful, sure, but no biggie. I called AAA and the driver(I forget his name) extremely hyped this company up and towed my car there. The AAA driver advertised to me that they would get it done quickly, which made me agree that he should tow it there. To give you some background, I'm an RBT who goes to client's houses to teach session, so I desperately needed my car as a work requirement. They're closed Sundays - ok, fine. Monday(which I luckily had off from work because of jury duty that day) came along and I received a call from the owner of the establishment, and I respected that he had updated me that he received my car. He said he would get the alternator around 4 and that it would take about an hour to install - right before they close. Ok, fine. 4:15 comes along, and I call to see if the alternator had come in. Turns out they had ordered the wrong alternator, which meant that my car wouldn't be available until the next day, when the appropriate alternator came in from Reno. Well, I needed my car the next day for the sake of work. He told me the alternator would come the next morning. I call after my first session in the afternoon(I had to be given a ride to a nearby Trader Joe's for client confidentiality), and the alternator was still not in yet. Yes, I was frustrated, but what made me more frustrated was that the owner always seemed to mention that he would "update me" or "call me back", but he only called back 1/4 times he said he would call back. I had to call back for updates. And when I did call back, I was always rushed off the phone. I ended up getting my car back on 8/10 at 3:50 pm. In the end, the alternator was replaced, and the oil was topped off(he told me it was about a half quart low), and I got $50 off. However, it made me miss work and now I have to make up the time that I had missed with that client. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience due to the fact that they had my car for 3 days, I was stranded at my boyfriend's house the whole time, I was consistently waiting on updates on my car, and I had to miss work because I didn't have my car. Im sure everyone else has had great experiences; however my experience was pretty stressful. Update: there's a user on here who goes by the name "XoXo" who i believe is someone from this company who is sending messages out to those who leave "negative" reviews(even though I was trying to be solely objective for the most part), invalidating my negative experience. Look, "XoXo", if you're reading my review again - you might say that I'm "lucky to have gotten my car in 3 days", but was I lucky that I missed out on work? Waiting for my damn car to be finished and being told over and over again that the time it would be finished would be delayed? Time is money, and my time was wasted. Therefore, my money was wasted from not being able to attend work. XoXo - you, sir, have NO right to be telling me that I was lucky for the situation I was in. Thanks. read more

If I could give this shop more than 5 stars, I would! I called last Wednesday to see if I could take my car in for an oil leak inspection. When I arrived to the shop I was helped out by Nitish. I waited in the lobby area while he took a look at my car for me. When he detected the problem, he came and got me from the lobby to show me where the leak was coming from and thoroughly explained the issue and what would need to happen to fix it. For one, I have never been to an auto shop where a mechanic has shown me what the issue is. Secondly, I've never been to a shop where the mechanic DIDN'T try to pressure me into fixing a ton of other crap (I have a 97 Corolla so she definitely has other things that could have been pointed out to repair). I've been charged thousands of dollars for repairs, so I was nervous while I waited for him to get me a quote. When he showed me the quote, I was blown away. Affordable pricing! Was able to get my power steering pressure hose replaced, and an oil change for less than $400. One of the most nerve wracking things as a woman with little to know knowledge on car stuff, is going to an auto shop alone. Nitish definitely made me feel comfortable during the entire process. Great service. Very professional and honest. My car had a scraping noise coming from the engine bay, and after a previous mechanic mis-diagnosed this several times, I gave up on them and went to Zip In. Previous mechanic's latest guess was that the water pump was at fault, which I let the folks at Zip In know. Every part of my experience with the Zipin owner tells me that this is an honest establishment that built their business on the attitude of "treat the customer right and they will return". Called late in the day requesting diagnostics for a funky noise. They were able to fit us in within minutes and got to work looking for the problem. After a short stay they were unable to find the cause of my noise and did not charge me for the work. Additionally, my rear tires were close to bald - but the owner didn't try to sell me on his tires - he knew my fronts were from Costco and he recommended I return to Costco to have all my tires under the same return/warranty/service coverage. When I have a mechanical problem in the future or if the noise gets worse I will be coming back to this shop. read more
