If you are in downtown Denver, then you must try authentic Taiwanese street food at Zoe Ma Ma. Adjacent to the Union Station train depot in downtown, this quick service restaurant gets high marks for quality food at reasonable prices. We love the Dan Dan Mian but have recently discovered the Lu Ro Fan. Dan Dan Mian has a bit of a kick and sits on a bed of noodles. Lu Ro Fan is a generous blend of meats and vegetables on a bed of rice. LRF is fantastic with a bit of the Sichuan peppercorn sauce. Not spicy at all but a a bit salty so go easy.

Restaurant itself looks very cute! I was not really a fan of the dumplings. It was very doughy and didn't have too much filling in them. The flavor, for what filling I did taste, was pretty good though. The duck wonton noodle was mainly broth with not much noodles, duck or wonton fillings. Broth was very hearty and flavorful though. For the price, quantity and quality, I don't know if I would be back.

The food is delicious and it's in a great location right by Union station. Staff is nice and food comes our relatively quick. There is plenty of seating indoors. There is a 15% service charge added to every meal to help give fair wages to employees. You can opt out but I never do because I feel bad for telling a staff member that I want to take the 15% charge off. If you pay with cash note that you will not get change. My total came to $11.08 for the noodles, and I ended up getting $8 back because they don't do coin change. Not a huge deal but also bring change if you plan on paying in cash.

The Lou rou pork rice was probably the best thing there and the beef noodle soup also pretty good. The rest was a bit of a loose take on Chinese cuisine.

I've passed by here a few times, but I've never had a chance to go in until today to avoid being in the cold I got the dan dan mian. It was pretty good. There was enough broth in the dish to keep the noodles from sticking and the minced pork was flavorful. I could've use a little more spice, so grab a cup of the chili oil or the Szechuan oil to spice it up a bit more. It's a cute little restaurant and the staff were nice.

Boulder or Denver, doesn't matter. Zoe Ma Ma in any zip code is the best: the vibes and music, how quickly & deliciously the food is made, and service always leaves me wanting more.

I came here pre-pandemic when working downtown- not super memorable, but then again, working lunches usually mean I'm too focused on business talk to think about the food? That said- it's 2022 and I'm back and finally able to savor my dinner here! Cute shop, and definitely a great price point for Union Station! I would say it's definitely one of the best Chinese/Taiwanese restaurants in Denver metro. We got Dan Dan noodles, wonton soup, and a pork Bao. All were tasty- and extra stars to the staff! SUPER friendly- I saw them helping answer questions about the menu to folks ahead of us. Definitely worth a visit!

This was amazing and easy on the wallet

Had a chance to stop and eat at this denver ddd restaurant plus the had earned a michael star. Service was different. Order up front. Grab your fork napkin and head to the table. They call your name and you go grab your food. Food, new location and service were amazing.

So so disappointed. I had read the COS gazette a review and found out it was in Boulder, which is a 2 hour drive. I thought I'd never eat at Zoe Ma Ma. So when we came through Denver today, I made sure this was our late lunch stop at their 2nd location. My first disappointment was that the cashier/food prep person did not speak English (only Spanish) and could not answer my question about the spice level. He also did not give me a receipt or tell me my total. My husband asked" do you know how much we paid?" Nope. Also, there was a sign saying they weren't taking cash. We ordered Dan Dan and Lu ro fan and I Thai tea. $30 ( I looked at my online bank account). Very sadly presented. Cashier pointed to Coke cooler indicating that the tea was serve yourself. Dan Dan had token amounts of bok choy, no scallions, large wedges of pickled radish and a to go container of sauce. I used the whole thing and it was salty, slight schezuan flavor, zero heat. The LRF was a bit more flavorful but not yummy. The places to sit indoors gave us a view of pots, pans, catering equip, a Christmas tree, 1/4 dirty red curtain A worker on his break was watching loud videos on his photo. There was a photo on the wall of the owners with Guy Fieri at the original location. Perhaps that was our mistake. There was no one really running the show at this Denver/ union station. Everything in the back third of the restaurant looked like it was just put back there because they needed to put stuff somewhere. The food was completely forgetable. This place has such potential, but unless the owners come in and revamp, I'd tell anyone who mentions this place to skip it.

Roast duck wonton noodle soup and pork shumai

My co-workers and I came here one day for lunch (a super easy walk if you're close to Union Station) and we were so happy we stopped in! Zoe Ma Ma is one of those places where you look at the menu and think "I'm going to have to come back at least a few times, I want ALL of this food!" In my opinion, they have the perfect amount of options. Enough variety to make the menu extra colorful, but not so many options that there's too much to choose from. When restaurants have menus like this, you know they've found what they're amazing at and they've perfected it. I got an order of the pork shumai and the roast duck wonton soup. The pork shumai were really good and I could probably have eaten two orders myself if they hadn't been for the table. The soup was heavenly. It tasted homemade in the absolute best way. The broth was delicate, but flavorful and there was more duck than I expected! The wontons were, of course, my favorite part. If you're ever near Union Station looking for a delicious place to eat, I would totally recommend Zoe Ma Ma!

Delicious food, cool atmosphere, and very fast service! Great lunch spot with very reasonable prices!

I hate to be a downer, but this place was not good at all. Maybe my standards were higher because of my Taiwanese background, but I would only give this place a 3/5 on a generous day. The steamed bun was the only thing worth going back for. And maybe the Dan Dan Mian. The beef in the Braised Beef Noodle Soup was good. Unfortunately not good enough to make up for the price ($13). Ma Ma's Potstickers is ridiculously priced. $4.50 for 3 potstickers that didn't taste like anything special. My CPR was cold. Potatoes, rice, everything was cold. Out of everything ordered, I figured that dish would be the hardest to mess up. The Curry Rice was not good... too spicy for my taste and the curry sauce was too thick. In summary, I would not recommend this place. Maybe I went on an off day, but from other reviews I've seen, this place isn't consistent. *visited 6/15/21

Dan Dan Mian and Pork Belly Bao
    Lisa W.

Dan Dan noodles were yummy! Pork Belly Bao had a sliver of pork belly that was so tough it was inedible. I usually like a built-in tip for ease at a full-service restaurant, but the automatic 15% add-on for a "pick up and clean up your own food" system was questionable.
