This place isn't cheap but I'm a fan of just two items on the menu: the chargrilled octopus and the eggplant dip. Each comes with pita bread. I once branched out and got the falafel. It was the biggest mistake. It was the worst falafel I have ever tasted. The falafel must have been old or sitting in the fridge for ages since they were rock hard! I definitely couldn't eat anything! Also, while the service isn't bad, it isn't the friendliest -- I have the overall impression they would not really care whether I had hard falafel or not. To sum it up: great octopus and eggplant dip, but crappy falafel, and mediocre service and price. If I can help it, I won't be returning. read more

I have been there a few times when I'm in the area, for both lunch and dinner. Excellent food, decent service. Last time there we had the beet salad (I don't like beets, but everyone else liked them) and falafel appetizers. The falafels were good, had a little spice in them. This place truly lives up to the reviews of having awesome Gyros! Went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy, but the wait staff were calm and collected and did not rush us to order and/or pay. The ambiance is nice, and a small and quaint place that seems clean and well run. We ordered the typical stuff. Hummus and Greek salad for appetizer. The hummus was great had a lemony hint to it, which I loved. It also came with WARM pita, which is always a plus! We also ordered the Gyro sandwiches, which was probably one of the best Gyros I have ever had. No words to descible. It was just GOOD! My one complaint was that the platters were a little pricey. A Greek place that shares the same name in Staten Island sells platters for 12.50 with side salad, while this place sells them for upwards of 18-20$ with no salad! I don't think the two places are related, but I don't think Kebab platters should exceed $15. Other than that though, great place! Will definitely return whenever I need a Gyro fix!! read more

My family and I have had food from Zorba a few times, and are generally pleased with the Gyros and fries, but last Friday my mother and I ate here for lunch (1 Gyro, 1 Chicken Gyro Wrap, Zorba Fries) and we both suffered from food poisoning the next day. We have narrowed it down to food from Zorba since it was the only meal we shared within a few days and were both sick at the same time. It was either the Tzatziki or the Feta Cheese. Hopefully they are using fresh ingredients every day, but either way, my stomach won't be craving Zorba for a while. read more

I got a large Greek salad with chicken. The chicken and pita were way over cooked. There was not much chicken on top either. Almost all lettuce and some was brown. The salad had no spicy peppers and almost no feta. I feel really ripped off. This salad was very expensive too. This is twice in a row I was no happy with our food. read more

I'm giving a 5 star because I love love loved the dolmades and the pita was so good. I ordered the chicken gyro wrap to go and it wasn't what I expected but that's my fault because the guy on the phone told me there's a chicken gyro wrap and a chicken breast wrap. I meant to get the chicken breast wrap. the wrap was good when I dipped it in the tzaziki but I'm just personally not a fan of "gyro" cut because chicken is always really hard anywhere I go. I suggest they use the pita that they give on the side for the wrap because that would taste so much better. They used a thinner pita for the wrap but like I said it was still pretty good. It was ready in 5 minutes and I was so happy Because I was starving! Overall they have good service and I love their tzaziki because it's a thick sauce rather than the really watery ones other places have!! Delicious. Thank you! read more

If your looking for good Greek gyro I would definitely recommend zorbas. I usually order the lamb gyro which comes with slices of tender lamb, tomato, lettuce, and onion all wrapped in a soft and tender pita bread, topped with packing favor yogurt sauce. Get the sauce in it and on the side so every part of the gyro you eat is filled with favor. read more

When your in the mood for Greek food, and dont feel like spending a lot of $$$, Zorbas is a great place to go. I have been here many times and every single time I order the Gyro. Very good and very fresh! Every time I come here and eat these I always say I want two more. Whether you start your meal with the tzatziki or hummus, you can't go wrong. Served with warm pitas, its a very tasty start. As good as the hummus is, the tzatziki is definitely my choice. If you run out of pitas, just ask and they will give you more. Cannot believe the audacity of this place to charge $24 for a seafood salad that is basically a greek salad with about 4 pieces of shrimp and 2 pieces of octopus. The salad itself is essentially an entire head of lettuce with some feta. What an incredible rip-off. The octopus appetizer gets smaller each time we order it and it costs $17. Wow, I'm hungry for their Gyro Again after seeing the pictures here, posting this review. The meat in the overstuffed Gyro was seasoned to perfection and tender. I don't suppose you'll find better even in Greece, and I tried. The hummus and eggplant are made with love on premises and it shows. The octopus was beautifully presented, tasty and tender. The salads were very good, as were the desserts. Casual bring your own where the incredibly friendly waitstaff and owner will make you feel like family!! read more
