    Filet mignon, shrimp Lemon drop!

I love Zovs in Tustin off 17th street. The ambience is cozy and trendy. I love the outside inside feel. The dimmed lights and water fountain. The food is fabulous. We always order the lebnaui and the feta dip with warm pita bread . Salad and Peppered Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked, and my lemon drops AMAZING!

Extremely expensive for a lunch menu. We had 3 small plates and no drinks it was $95. Definitely not worth it.

We ended up at Naan and Kebab, a very casual Persian restaurant. For a place in Tustin and a restaurant that I would honestly describe as pretty average overall, this is the kind of spot that fits the bill if you're just looking for something quick and simple. This is definitely not a Raffi's Place in Glendale or one of those higher-end Persian restaurants where you go expecting a full dining experience. But with that said, it's still okay. If you're just trying to grab something to go and want a decent taste of Persian food without too many expectations, this place isn't too bad. We tried their koobideh kebabs, and those were actually pretty solid. The chicken, on the other hand, was probably around a two-plus star level--nothing particularly memorable. So overall, if you're in the mood for koobideh specifically, this is not a bad option to consider. I'll still give them four stars, mainly because the koobideh was enjoyable enough and the experience, while simple, was acceptable for what it is.

But let me tell you this food was delicious! You can tell the food was made and plates prepared with love and intention. I came with a coworker for lunch, her suggestion and my first time here. She was telling me she came for her favorite rice, the cherry rice. I had never heard of it, but upgraded my order to cherry rice (didn't see it on the menu as cherry rice, may have a specific name I'm not aware of, but I ordered it fine saying cherry rice). I ordered the lunch special, for 18.99 came with chicken kabob and beef, a tomato, and of course the cherry rice. That rice was so delicious and unlike any other type of rice I have ever tasted. It was slightly sweet, and had warm cooked cherries scattered within. SO GOOD!!! Additionally it came with a tray of warm flat bread with butter, a beautiful starter salad, with a simple dressing of oil, lemon, and mint. This was also a unique flavor to my taste buds, but so good! If you like lemon you will love it. The flavors of the entire meal all complimented each other beautifully. If you are in the Tustin area and enjoy Persian food, give this small business a try. Hopefully you will leave like we did, pleasantly satisfied, and planning another lunch date there soon.

The grilling was done skillfully, but I must say that due to the size of the actual meat chunks, my skewers were rare, not med rare. But, delicious and savory nonetheless. The salad was crispy with red onions, tomato wedges, cucumbers. It was under dressed but still very tasty. Also had the humus which was good, a bit more oil would be nice. My daughter had the Spanikopita appetizer which looked really good with a lot of filling. My wife had the soup that was very tasty, with dill sprinkled on top, cannot remember the name. The soup was steaming hot, which is how I like any soup to be served. For dessert we had a Baklava that was sweet, but so crispy it was a bit hard to eat, almost too dense and crispy-dry. Definitely worthy of a 5 star rating. Someone who is serious about quality ingredients designed this menu. I would enjoy eating here again.

One word Wow!…read more After growing up in Tustin for 18 years and now moving back I have no idea how I never dined here before. We went in for a simple take out meal and the service while we waited was incredible. The restaurant is cute. Now let's get to the food. I ordered a gyro plate and the other half ordered a gyro sandwich. Also ordered dolmanedas (stuffed grape leaves) haven't eaten those yet. The gyro plate comes with so much food. The green beans are delicious tons of gyro and the potato and the rice were incredible. I still have left overs definitely something you can split. The gyro sandwich and rice were snarffeled up and the comment was wow I haven't had something that tasted that good in years. Needless to say you guys found some new regulars!

The flavors were very nice with a lot going on with the spinach stuffing and the mushroom cream sauce. It was very good. To be picky, I think the chicken just a tad overcooked and the dill was a little strong sometimes. But, overall, it was very good. My wife had the tilapia and it was very good. The fish was cooked very well and there was none of that aftertaste that tilapia sometimes has. Both dishes came with the same sides of the, string beans, and potato. It was all fine well with nice delicate flavors. The service was excellent and when we asked to take some of the leftovers the packed it all up very nicely for us It's almost like higher end dining in a more casual setting and moderate prices. We highly recommend.

I was greeted with a smile by the gentleman cooking behind the counter and I was able to self seat at the table of my choosing. I can't recall the name but it was very tasty, fresh, and delicious. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing, the chicken was cooked to perfection and the rice was flavorful. Located on 1st in Santa Ana near Tustin, there's a wrought iron fence around the private lot, and the restaurant is open until 9pm most nights. I was surprised nobody was dining in, and except for a woman waiting for her takeout order to be made, I was the only person for most of the visit. I quickly realized the phone rings often, so most business is ordered ahead, with the option to eat there, in the car, or take home. Clearly, for presentation and likely quantity, I recommend eating there. The host is a nice older gentleman who literally does it all, and is so good it hardly seems like he's working. My Shish kabob plate came out faster than expected, and I was almost as impressed with the salad as the saffron rice and actual kabob, which is tender and amazing by the way. Basically, you pick a drink from the refrigerator, and I let him talk me into trying hummus, and appetizer, which ultimately comes with cut flatbread. His take is less creamy than other restaurants, but the flavors are fresh, without garlic. Don't worry, the salad dressing is a fantastic creamy Italian style. All-in-all, I was enjoying every bite and pretty much ate everything, although I preserved some hummus to eat at home. The price was commiserate with the quality, and I suppose I'll try more when I'm around the area.

While it is presented as Mediterranean…read morecuisine, much of the menu appears to be centered on Afghan and Persian (Iranian) dishes, with some influences from neighboring regional cuisines. Items such as bolani, koobideh, and other menu offerings are more commonly associated with Afghan and Persian culinary traditions. Although the menu also includes Mediterranean staples such as falafel, shawarma, and hummus, those dishes seem to represent a smaller portion of the overall selection. The mint lemonade was not very sweet, which is a matter of personal preference. I also found the color unusually vibrant, and after sitting for a while, the drink began to separate, which I found somewhat unexpected. The pizza was disappointing. It reminded me of a typical store-bought pizza, and I have had frozen pizzas that offered better flavor and quality. The beef koobideh and beef kebab were decent and enjoyable, but they did not particularly stand out compared to similar dishes available at other local restaurants. Service was somewhat disappointing during our visit. The hostess/server appeared to be managing a large number of tables on her own and seemed genuinely overwhelmed at times. While the overall service experience was not as attentive as I would have liked, it appeared to be more a matter of staffing or workload than a lack of effort on her part. The highlight of the experience was the patio. It is a pleasant space to relax, enjoy a cup of tea, and spend time outdoors. For me, the atmosphere was stronger than the food itself.
